Innovative Contracting Services were great. It took a while to get the job scheduled after the contract was signed, but once they started they showed up regularly for a month until the job was finished. The crew doing the work showed the highest level of professionalism. At one point a neighbor stopped me to say, as a retired contractor himself, he had been watching the progress and that the crew was doing a very good job. They were respectful and courteous in dealing with my family and neighbors: one side of the house is very close to the neighboring driveway, and the crew was extremely polite when making arrangements to work on that side. The project manager was always very responsive, and had good answers for my many, many questions. The crew communicated scheduling (i.e. not showing up when rain was expected) clearly so we were all on the same page as to what would happen when. I'm very pleased with the service provided by ICS and the house looks great.

Siding was finished and exceeded our expectations in quality. Mike and Nick were very responsive and crew on site were very professional and cleaned our exterior daily before leaving each day. We are very pleased with the outcome and would highly recommend ICS for siding.

Had an Appt for Sat the 9th in the morning which would work for me. Contractor showed up on Friday unannounced, was not the right or convenient time. Didn't bring own ladder, how do you look at roof without a ladder? Took photo's from the ground, and measured the front of the house. Said I would have a quote in my email. Don't know for what. This interaction has soured me on this company, and I wouldn't use them in the future. You have to come when contracted and properly supplied.

We are very pleased with the job ICS did for us on our large 2-family. They stripped all the shingles and window frames from the house and replaced them with HardieBoard planks and trim. In addition, ICS replaced the railings and lattice on our front porch, painted all trim and new work and replaced the downspouts on the house. Emanuel, Nick and Elizabeth were great to work with from Emanuel?s original visit and estimate through conclusion, quick to communicate and answer any questions. Work was done professionally; workers took care not to damage more landscaping than absolutely unavoidable and cleaned up thoroughly after each day?s work. The price was very reasonable for the amount of work we had done. Recommend highly.

Emanuel, who did the estimate, is very sharp. He evaluated the situation quickly and accurately. In particular, he immediately diagnosed a long-standing peeling problem on the north side (as due to a particular paint or stain product in use around the 1930's); and he knew exactly which special paint to use on some exposed steel beams. The workers were excellent. They scraped by hand, thoroughly and with great energy. The were friendly to each other, polite, clean, no loud music. The painting was also done with precision and care: high quality workmanship. There was negligible impact on the surroundings. A few minor issues came up: by and large, they were settled quickly without any negative feelings. It's probably helpful, in any job like this, that we were around at least part of every day: it leads to greater respect and better communication. Yes, we'd certainly consider using this firm again.

AWESOME! The contractor and his crew did an amazing job. We had to wait for the windows a little longer than we wanted to but that was because so many people bought this deal. They were wonderful in getting back to us and Liz answered any and all questions we had. They came and did everything in 1 day and completely cleaned up everything after themselves. Leaving NOTHING behind. They are amazing. We hope to do the upstairs next year. Great job and nice group of people. Can't recommend them enough!

(see above).The only visible physical object left behind for one day as a container for the old materials, Mr Michael Bettancort and his partner are both degreed with Engineering degreed from University of Massachusetts, Lowell*. There business has expanded to a degree where they have moved their central offices and physical plant a little North to Malden, MA. This gives them better access to all of Metropolitan Boston, North and South Shores. They came as gentlemen and left our property as heroes. Part of my retirement business is in Real Estate, where I stress the value of finding NESTS for young couples with young growing families. Very misleading. Their website clearly says they do 'roof repair' but when you call, they say they don't do roof repair!

Overall, we had a really good experience with ICS. They were extremely hard-working and professional, and their office staff was easy to communicate with. The project manager checked in frequently to make sure things were going okay. There were a few hiccups along the way, some wiring got disconnected while they were working, and there were a few places where the paint color was uneven, but they addressed all of our concerns and worked hard to make sure we were happy with the end result. Those minor hiccups meant that the job did take substantially longer than we expected, but we would still use ICS again because they were so thorough and professional about correcting the problems.

Excellent company-No complaints, courteous, dependable and attention to detail . Always here when they said they would be.

Michael Bettencourt, the owner of Innovative Contracting Services, came out and measured all the windows I wanted to replace in my 1920s two-family house. When the windows were ready, a crew of four men spent two days installing them. They did an excellent job of removing the old windows and installing the new ones. They filled any holes in the woodwork, checked each window to make sure that it worked properly, and washed all the windows. Before they left, they cleaned up each area that they had been working in. The foreman took me around to each window to make sure that I was satisfied with the installation. The crew arrived promptly, worked well as a team, and were very quiet as they worked. I highly recommend Innovative Contracting Services.

Have used this company several times in past as they provided great service, and wonderful work. The principal contractors were incredibly friendly and professional. I highly recommended them to my friends. It is with great disappointment then that I have to write this review. A couple of years ago they resided and painted my house and did a fantastic job. With the winter, some of the siding and fascia needed repairs/replacement. They never responded to any of my voice messages or emails. I finally spoke to someone in the main office who said they would speak with one of the workers and get back to me. I never heard back and my most recent email went unanswered. As a repeat customer, I would expect at least the professional curtsey of a response. I can understand if they are unable or uninterested in the work, but a complete lack of response is unacceptable. It is really unfortunate, as I have an old house that needs frequent work and this was my "go to" company.

SO WE TALKED ABOUT A BATHROOM & KITCHEN WINDOW, APPROX. 1/2 THE SIZE OF THE 8 WINDOWS THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN PURCHASED @ APPROX. $375 @ PIECE INSTALLED . NOW MANNY DID MENTION THAT THE BATHROOM WINDOW WOULD BE A TEMPERED GLASS DUE TO MA. REG. Emanuel came to my house to look at the project and he followed up later with e-mails. Christine and Emanuel were very informative and prompt with their replies. I would have liked to have the work on my house , but it just wasn't feasible due to pricing.

I thought these guys did a great job. Good quality, great service. They were very careful about my pets and kids. Respectful and fast.

lInnovative Contracting Services responded quickly to my initial call, scheduled responsibly, and slapped on the roof on exactly when they s aid they would. Months had passed between my deposit and the actual work (winter set in before they could do it and I made the deposit in the fall) but they kept track of us and were very responsible about staying in touch. They put the roof on. Then winter came--a tough winter, certainly, but we lost a ceiling in a bedroom and large chunks of two walls due to leaks at the gutter line. (We'd lived with the older roof for 26 years--some of which had very tough winters--and sustained no visible leaks) I called ICS. They responded and came out to look at the roof. Mike stood in my lawn, looked up, and said that it had been an unusual winter and the roof was fine. He said I needed to call a gutter specialist. I said I thought roofing included gutter issues. He said no. I called two gutter replacement specialists who both said the roof edges didn't please them and the fascia was so rotten that squirrels were burrowing through it in several places. I already knew that--I'd used Angie's list to find an exterminator to flush them a month before. I called ICS again. I showed them pictures of the rotten fascia taken by the gutter specialists and suggested they might have told me that the fascia was exposed above the gutter and very rotten, and saved me $650 in squirrel elimination charges, even if they did not see the gutters as their responsibility. Months of back and forth ensued. ICS finally got up on a ladder, said that it probably didn't look like that when they did the roof (?) and we started talking. Ultimately, ICS replaced the rotten fascia and ate the cost themselves. They hired a subcontractor to replace the gutters at the rear of my house and passed on the bill to me. I was cool with that. ICS maintains that the roof edges are done according to industry standards and different people approach the job differently. I now have a new roof. New fascia and gutters in the back of my house, and some trepidation about the next snow storm. Overall, a mixed experience.

The project went smoothly. They did a thorough job of scraping the old peeling paint and replaced all the rotting fascia boards, trim and some of the old shingles. The job got off to a late start because it had been a very rainy summer so they were running a few weeks behind. It continued to rain through the project and they were very careful to let the wood dry out before they continued. That meant that there were often beautiful sunny days that they could not be here because it followed 3 or 4 previous days of soaking rain but they were very diligent about not rushing it. They were clear when there was extra work that was not part of the original quote and always notified me of the situation and gave me a ballpark price which they held to. All of the extras were reasonable and were things that you could not have seen until you started pulling off wood and seeing what was behind it. They even threw in a few extras to make the project look more finished which was greatly appreciated. There were multiple crews doing the different tasks and all were friendly and did a thorough clean-up at the end of the day. The project manager was new and was responsive to all my questions and concerns. If he did not know the answer he found it out and always got back to me. Their price was in the middle of the pack but we used them because they were local and had good reviews. I would suggest that people go over the proposal carefully and make sure that everything you talked about was included. There were a number of small items that we had discussed but were not listed on the proposal. When I emailed asking if they were included I was told that all except 1 of them was included. 1 had been forgotten and they added the cost into the revised proposal and updated the scope of work. It made it much easier when the job was being done 3-4 months later to have it specifically listed on the proposal, especially since the project manager was not the one who did the estimate. My one critisism was getting the last few small items done was a bit of a struggle. I know it was a horribly rainy summer and when they had a good day they were on bigger jobs instead of finishing up the odds and ends but it did drag on at the end. They were good about never asking me for the final payment (which was much bigger than the remaining amount of work) until they were 100% complete. All in all we had a good experience and would use them again.

Dmitry and the crew came on time and cleaned up at the end of every day. They were courteous and answered any questions we had. During the project issues arose regarding the screened front porch, options were discussed with Michael and Dmitry and a solution was implemented at no additional cost. The finished product looks perfect and we continue to receive compliments. We would highly recommend ICS.

They were excellent. They didn’t charge us more then the original amount. They came when they said they would. They cleaned up after themselves. They just did a wonderful job overall. We are very happy with the results.

Started work but then did not complete. We tried to call several times with no response. There were a multitude of phone calls to get this company to come back out. They got us to do a little bit more than what was needed with the service. Very disappointed in how this job was handled. They finally did get the job finished but not without a lot of hassle. At one point they were working and the fumes were flowing into the restaurant and I had to tell them to please block off the work. This should have been something that they knew to do.

They were great. We had a few issues with them once during the painting process, because they had a guy doing something really dangerous when it was dark out, basically. That was a problem of a manager who was inexperienced and was trying to get work done too quickly. I talked to the other guy, who's in charge of the jobs (the guy above the guy who screwed up), he was very understanding, and he got rid of him from our job. He said "He's new, he's inexperienced, he screwed up badly, and that never should have happened." He was very understanding. They were very apologetic. He was an individual guy working on a ladder with a power sprayer after dark, and he could have fallen. He was trying to work really fast, but they were a great company, and it worked out really well. They were meticulous, and careful. They had a good price, and we have no complaints about them. They finished in early December. One of the most impressive things about them, was that the workers all got along really well. They not only did a good jobs, but enjoyed themselves. It's just really nice when you have a big crew of people working for you, to have them be in a good mood, and not only working hard and well, but enjoying themselves. Good job. We got other bids from other companies, and they were the lowest. We had people recommended to us with higher prices, and lower Angie's List ratings. They were good.

Very good job, 3 workers arrived timely and completed job in 2 days. Cleanup of yard was very good. Owner Mike is professional, polite and listened to our concerns.

Three workmen arrived early Saturday morning and removed old storms and wood sashes for 8 windows. Windows were installed and job finished by 4pm that day...

Perfectly. Team communicates well, delivers as promised and was great to work with.

The workers arrived at 8 am or before. The old siding was quickly removed, the house wrapped, and new siding installed. The workers were efficient and knowledgeable. They smiled at me and seemed always to be ready to answer any questions or make it easily possible for me to get in/out of my garage. Until the time changed, the siders worked from 8 am to 6 pm. What I think most impressed me, beside the quality of the work, was how clean the yard looked after each day. The last half hour was always spent sweeping and cleaning. It was a pleasure to see them each morning waiting to begin the beautification of our home. "Sam" and the man with whom he worked were terrific. The gutter company came next. They, too, worked quickly and well. They finished putting up the gutters and caps in one day - - always checking to make sure the installation was acceptable. Last came the painters [ a large crew] They too worked quickly and efficiently. When the major painting was finished, two painters returned the next day and did all the touch up and painting of the post and railing. The result of their work is beautiful. Each team left only after we inspected their work. Emanuel came over on the final day to make absolutely sure that all was done to our satisfaction. IT WAS. Although my daughter had already writing a review of the work, I wanted to add my own review since I was home each day when the workers arrived and when they left. It was pleasant to spend three weeks with these crews, and now we have a beautiful house to attest to their work.
