We had a 100+ year old oil asbestos-covered steam boiler that needed to be removed, as well as insulation on some pipes, for a conversion to gas heat. I called Maria in March and they came out promptly to give a proposal. Maria got the proposal to me the same day. We got glowing telephone references on them, in addition to the reviews on Angie's List, so we hired them. They came in June earlier than their normal start time to accommodate our schedule. By the time I got home about 3:00 pm they were gone and you could barely tell there had ever been a boiler in the basement. Everything was neat and clean. One week later Maria got the inspection report to us and everything was fine. I never would have found them if it wasn't for Angie's List. They were terrific and I would recommend them to anyone.

Was a pleaseure to deal with from beginning to end. Called to arrange a quote, showed up the same day and gave me a quote of $2,500 to remove asbestos insulation from approx 350 linear feet of pipes in the basement. They scheduled the removal exactly 10 working days later (state mandated permit timeframe). The day of the work, they showed up on-time (actually a bit early) and got to work right away. The job was completed with the upmost professionalism and they were gone by early afternoon. Despite all sorts of obstacles in their way, you would have never known they were there. Looking to have them come back in the summer to remove an asbestos-laden boiler slated for replacement.

It was a great experience from start to finish. Maria came out the same day I called and gave an estimate on the work. We set up a date for the actual work 10 days in advance (minimum required for permiting) and she and her crew showed up as agreed at 8am and finished the work by early afternoon. A few days later I received the asbestos clearance letter by email from the 3r party test house and everything was all clear.

Our home inspector pointed out a section of asbestos tape/insulation on a duct in the basement of our new home, and recommended that we replace it. I contacted Impresair Environmental for a quote, and Maria was very responsive. She provided a quote on the phone, and that price ($150) was the final invoice. She scheduled the job for as soon as the regulatory paperwork was completed. On the date of the job, Maria and Calixto were caught in traffic and arrived late, but they called ahead to say they were late and also apologized. The work was done quickly and efficiently. I would work with them again if I needed any more asbestos removal.

I called Impresair and they came 2 days later to give me an on site estimate. They were friendly and professional. They explained the time that it takes to get a permit and I explained that was fine because we still had some work to do in the room before we wanted the floors done anyway.I told them they had the job ( I had previously gotten a phone estimate from another company that seemed way overpriced for the amount of work) and that I would call them in a couple of weeks when we had the room finished.I called and they scheduled the work for the following week. They arrived when they said they would, completed the work in a timely manner and did a good job. I would definitely recommend their service.

After another contractor complained about the asbestos on our pipes, we called Impresair. They came promptly and would have come even sooner if it had fit our schedule. They arrived on time, did the work, and were out in only a couple of hours. The bill was exactly what the estimate had been.

It takes two weeks from the time the permit is submitted for the work to begin. Felicio went right in to get the permit taken care of. He set a removal date for two weeks from that day. He and his crew showed up right on time. They sealed every uninvolved duct and sealed the work area. All of the insulated ducts and flooring were removed. Then they cleaned the work area and left it immaculate. Felicio had arranged for a state inspector to arrive and go through the basement to certify all of his work. Felicio is very pleasant, very knowledgeable about his work and makes a difficult task easy for you.
Description of Work: I highly recommend Impresair Enviromental. I was replacing an old forced hot air furnace in my basement. As soon as I was told the insulation on the outside of the old ducts by the furnace had asbestos I put everything on hold. I called Impresair Enviromental and the owner, Felicio came right over. I told him I wanted all of the involved ducts completely removed from my home. Felicio also showed me some very old linoleum looking flooring in a basement laundry room contained asbestos so I wanted all of that floor taken out too.

Felicio came as scheduled to examine situation and gave me an estimate on the spot that was reasonable. When I was ready, he scheduled work after the needed regulatory notices. On date scheduled, Felicio and crew came on time and handled the removal as well as other removals carefully and timely. They cleaned up and Felicio made sure that I was satisfied before asking for payment. The whole process was efficient and very professional in a way that is clear that he cares about his reputation.

Great experience with Impresair. Received immediate responses to emails/phone calls when planning the work. Got estimate over the phone that was for the exact cost of the job. Crew showed up on time and did a good job of sealing off the rest of the house from the area with asbestos floor tiles. Finished in 3 hours including having their work inspected/certified. Area cleaned up well. Very happy with the work performed. Will recommend to my GC and any others that require asbestos abatement.

Overall, the work was excellent. We left a message with Felicio to schedule removal of asbestos from our basement. He returned the call within a few hours and scheduled an appointment to remove the asbestos within 2 weeks. He pulled the permits to do the work within our town during those 2 weeks. Felicio and an associate showed up promptly the morning of the appointment, covered everything in the basement and brought me downstairs to show me and get my approval before beginning any of the removal work. The job took about 5 hours and when they were complete he brought me downstairs again to make sure I understood what they had done and that I was satisfied. I was impressed with his thouroughness, not to mention how clean the basement looked.

I did not hire the company due to their inability to provide a written, contractual estimate.
Description of Work: Called to have an estimate on asbestos removal. Employee came and gave a verbal quote. I requested a handwritten quote and was promised one in a couple of days. Two weeks later, no quote. The verbal quote was in the ballpark of another estimate I received, (less actually), but I will go with the company that submitted the estimate for the job. Obviously, Impresair did not need the job.

When I called the company, I reached the owner, Felicio, directly. He said he would come to our house at 2pm the same day to look at the work and provide and estimate. He arrived early, walked through the basement with me, and provided a written estimate on the spot. I also got estimates from two other companies I found on Angie's List, and his was in the middle, very close to the lowest estimate. I got bad vibes from the company that gave the lower estimate, so I was perfectly happy to pay slightly more to Impresair. Months later, when I finally got around to making the other arrangements necessary to do the abatement, I called Felicio and let him know that we wanted to use him for the job. He called back promptly and we made the arrangements, which included his crew being willing to work on Labor Day, which was quite convenient for us. Felicio and his coworker arrived early on the scheduled day, did the work flawlessly, and left everything wonderfully clean and neat. They even successfully removed ducts that had electrical cables and supports attached to them without disturbing the electrical work. We hadn't cleared out everything from under all of the ducts, so they moved what they needed to without damaging anything. They left everything stacked up for us to put back afterwards, but I didn't mind that, since we should have been the ones to move it in the first place, and since we're going to have to have the HVAC people come in to install new ducts in the same locations anyway. When I paid, Felicio was happy to accept the 5% off coupon from Angie's List. I did have a few concerns with the job, but they were quite minor compared to the overall experience: 1. After arranging the work with Felicio on the phone, I sent him email and asked him to confirm in writing. He didn't respond, and I never did get written confirmation of the date. It would have been better if he had responded and confirmed the date and address. 2. Similarly, I called a week before Labor Day to confirm that he was coming, since I hadn't heard anything from him since the phone call to arrange it, and he didn't call back until Saturday, two days before the work was scheduled. I would have felt a little less nervous if he had called back earlier. 3. Felicio got our ZIP code wrong on the paperwork he filed with the DEP, but this isn't terribly surprising, since unfortunately, because of the screwy way streets are arranged in Boston, there's another house with the same address as ours within the city in a different ZIP code. These concerns are probably more a reflection on my obsessiveness than they are of Felicio's work, so as I said, I consider them minor, and I'd happily use Impresair again should the need arise.
Description of Work: Felicio and his coworker removed, from our unfinished basement, heating ducts with asbestos insulation and tape on them. The ducts needed to be removed because the asbestos was starting to degrade, thus posing a safety hazard, and because we wanted to replace the unnecessarily large and inefficient ducts with new, smaller ducts to save on our heating costs and make more room in our basement for eventually finishing it.

Mr. Deoliveira originally gave us a quote over the phone. Then he came out to look around. He said it would be $1400 and would take half a day. We asked him about the mold in the basement, too. When he arrived on the 14th he was prompt and finished the job in the time said. They sealed everything off in the basement so that we could still use the rest of the house. They did an excellent job of cleaning out the dirt and debris in the entire basement, which has subsequently limited the musty smell.

Felicio was very responsive to my first inquiry and was able to meet me in the evening the next day to give me a quote. He gave me a quote on the spot, followed by the written estimate. He took care of all paper work and permits. The job was scheduled for immediately after the two week notification period(required by law)ended. The job took two days, per the estimate. On the third day, the air test was done indicating that all asbestos was gone. The whole process was quick and simple for me. Best of all, the damage to the plaster ceiling was minimal. Because the texture is removed by scrapping, I expected more damage to be done.

New home purchase, we wanted to expose and refinish existing hardwood underneath all the asbestos tiles and linoleum that was installed, most likely in the 50's or 60's. Felicio and his crew showed up right on time and finished before the end of the day. Very happy with his work and love our original floors that we now have. This was done as part of our 203(k) renovation mortgage loan. Felicio filled out all the FHA required paperwork and is now validated as a 203(k) contractor.

They were very responsive after a phone call to come out and quote. The only snag was that the first person contacted left the company, so I had to call again to get someone else to come out and in the intervening time, the price went up $150. The price was still reasonable, and they did a fantastic job. The basement is clean and there is no trace of them being there except for the naked boiler.
