Went very well, on one of the hottest days of the year he put a hatch into a 90 year old house. This meant cutting through lathe and plaster, and placing securely into an irregular opening. I'm looking forward to my next project with Mike.

Mike showed up on time, consulted with me on a few issues to make sure I'd be in agreement. He was careful around the plants in the yard, used a dropcloth...he's conscientious, and a hard worker. He did a great job on replacing the fence boards, caulking, and priming and painting them. He is very neat! Well, he did spill one TINY drop of paint on one leaf of a plant...and he apologized for that! Hurrah!!! He has an easygoing manner and is very easy to talk to. He was friendly and great with my 2 1/2 year old son. He also had some helpful advice on keeping the fence in good condition. I've already got him scheduled to come back to do some more work for us. I joined Angie's List because I had a bad experience with a roofer last year. Mike, the Handyman Specialist is exactly the kind of help I was hoping to find when I joined Angie's List - he's a gem. (Oh, great. Now EVERYONE's going to want him and I'll never be able to book him cuz he'll be so busy! HAH-hah.)

Mike was excellent. He came in person to see the house, discuss what was needed, the feasibility of doing it, estimate the time, and tell us what we should purchase to prepare for his scheduled work. He showed up right on time, and put in a solid 9 hours of hard work. At one point he made a trip to our corner hardware store to get a few things he needed, but we were very pleased both with the amount of work he got done and the creative solutions he found to do some of it. He advised us that one of the cabinets we had planned to put up in the bathroom was actually too large for the space (it would prevent the door from opening had we gone ahead), so that was disappointing, but it was better for him to have told us before he put it up. The upshot is we have only one cabinet in bathroom. We will definitely have him back to do additional work as things come up. We actually paid him a bit more than he charged ($350 rather than $305) because we were impressed by how much he accomplished.

Mike is excellent. He is friendly, informative, knowledgeable and an extremely hard worker. He has a vast knowledge of a variety of home improvement projects, carpentry, masonry, and plumbing. He responded quickly to my inquiry, and came out a few days later to look over the projected work. He will work out estimates on bigger jobs, and give you an idea of how long the smaller ones will take. He knew that I had a party scheduled for this weekend and he finished the deck in record time. He took a Sunday to go to a supply store with me (his day off!) and spent three hours with me picking out what we needed for the jobs, and only charged me the pick up charge of $25. He is a super guy, and very trustworthy. I gave him a key to my house for access for the total time he was working for me, and he promptly returned it to me last night when I gave him his final payment. He is a pleasure to work with. He keeps you updated, asks questions and answers yours. I will definitely be using him again!

Mike was prompt and professional, gave excellent guidance when I was shopping for material, and cleaned up the work area when he was done. He was creative in solving some unexpected issues with installing a new light over the bathroom sink, and when the tile installation ran longer than originally estimated he came back on a Saturday to finish the job. I would hire him again.

Mike did an excellent job. He arrived on time and ready to work. He began the shed the first day, finished it the second day, and installed the two windows. He is very careful in ordering stock. He got me the most for my money. I will definitely hire him again.

Came promptly and gave us an estimate. Really nice person. Returned follow-up calls promptly. Arrived on time. Did all the work that was requested plus a little extra. No surprises or disappointments. He held to his estimate. Did not make any messes. Cleaned up as the various jobs were completed.

I called Mike Bowser based on his rating in Angie's List and reading his previous reviews. Those reviews were very accurate. Mike is very kind, pleasant, and very punctual. He returned calls immediately, showed up when planned, and was very flexible with his time. I have a two family house that needed more than just "cosmetic" work and I had no idea where to turn. As you can see from the detail above, the list was extensive but Mike just focused on what he needed and went to work. It was a pleasure working with him and he did excellent work. I would use him again and believe I got more than my money's worth. He will be coming back to do some cement work on steps and wall.

Mike is a very friendly, efficient fellow but when he painted our cabinets and doors they became stuck due to the paint. I had to have my husband sand them and refinish them himself.

The Valentine's ice/snow/sleet storm caused my gutter to separate from the house creating a large ice dam. I called a number of companies for help but the project was too small for them or I did not hear back from them in a timely manner. Mike responded right away and arranged a time where he could look at the problem. We arranged a time for the repairs to be done. Mike is excellent! He communicates very well, did a very good job repairing my gutter and everything was neat and tidy after the job. Mike went above and beyond the call of duty. He removed a hornet's nest from my drainpipe and informed me there was a bird's nest in a crack near the gutter. He went into my attic crawl space to see if he could remove the nest and seal the hole. I would definitely hire Mike again for any job.

Mike is great: He is versatile and has a lot of different skills. He is very good at suggesting ways to fix or work around a problem, instead of just replacing it. He is punctual, polite, and cleans up carefully. Plus he is friendly, honest, and charges very reasonable rates.
