Handyman Specialist

My fence is perhaps 15-20 years old. For many years untrimmed trees and bushes rested on the fence in several places. That caused rot at the top of some fence panels (the cap piece and two boards that hold in the lattice topper). I want to get at least a few more years' use from the fence. Mike was constructive and flexible from start to finish in assessing the situation, deciding on the fix, pricing the job, etc. He works carefully. When he was done there was no contractor-caused damage for me to repair.

Very pleased with my new deck. I have had Mike a few times for various projects. Mike is a very conscientious, worker. He is punctual, explains what he is going to do and strives to make sure you, the customer, is pleased. Very pleasant and easy to talk to. Already planning future jobs for him!

Mike was on time, both when he came to give an estimate and when he came to perform the work. He was very responsive with the quote and with answering our questions. He works very hard and takes pride in his work. Highly recommended.

Mike was prompt and very hard working. I don't think either one of us had a clear understanding of the complexity of putting this thing together and it would require multiple hands. When he got into the installation it was obvious it was not a one man job. He had recently let go a helper so I stepped in to fill that role. The instructions were terrible so it took a day and a half to put together. Mike was not going to deviate from his original quote but I decided to compensate for the extra time. Even though I had to put some time into it which I wasn't on doing, I would have had to hire someone to help me if I had originally planned to put the thing together myself. Overall, Mike overcame some of the issues we ran into and was professional throughout. I would definitely hire Mike for any other handyman job in the future.

We hired Mike to install two windows for us that needed a bit of shrinking of the frame (resized the windows). He worked with us to get them installed, giving us the option of buying the parts needed ourselves or having him buy them (with a reasonable fee for his time navigating the labyrinth that is home depot). He was very professional, and did an outstanding job on the windows. I will note that if your job is 'large' it's worthwhile to be available (by text/phone or at the work site) to answer questions that may come up, it speeds up everything.

Mike provided a quote for each item on the list and estimated all of the work would take two days. He showed up exactly as promised both days with all the materials needed and worked two full days to complete the job. He cleaned up nicely and completely and the final price was exactly as he quoted. We ended up adding extra to the check because we felt the work was outstanding and the pricing reflected a very reasonable hourly rate. On top of all of that Mike is extremely pleasant and works right through the day without interruption. You will fill fine leaving him to work alone if you need to leave the house for work or other reasons. What can I say - I'm thrilled that I found Mike and that he is happy to come to Reading.

We made the right choice in hiring Mike. He went beyond our expectations. He consulted with us on a daily basis to make sure we were satisfied with what he had done so far.. He was always on time, cleaned up at the end of the day. Before the final payment he made sure we were 100% satisfied. I would recommend Mike in a heart beat.

Mike started with the stairs and determined that we needed a master carpenter and didn't charge us for this. Mike then did the rest of the work with the utmost care. We were VERY impressed with the quality of Mike's work and are so happy to have hired him. The work he did was well done and we loved how careful he was with the finishing work (painting, etc) we have worked with other carpenters, etc that don't do the finishing work. Mike did the whole job and we were very happy. We were so impressed with his work and felt he had worked so hard that we even paid him more than what he was asking. We have already recommended him to several other friends!

Mike arrived at least on time if not early. Came prepared with the proper equipment (tools) and materials. Went right to work. New exactly what to do and the proper sequence. Stayed with it until all was completed (worked thru lunch). Really easy person to talk to. He is sensitive to customer satisfaction frequently asking if I was pleased with the current progress. A real good guy and his work is excellent.

The Handyman Specialist was very polite and friendly. I was looking for company to hang wallpaper, however, he specializes in the removal. He was a very pleasant to speak with.

This is our second time with Mike. He follows through with everything and communicates throughout the project. Before he leaves, he makes sure you are satisfied. We're already making a list of projects for his next visit.

Mike was very professional, paid attention to detail, and did great work. At times the lighting was tough and a few painting spots were missed, but Mike had no problem going back over the work to make sure we were happy with it. The new doors look excellent and he did a great job painting. I would definitely call Mike again for future projects.

Mike did a great job! Called me promptly .Came to look at the work and told me in detail how he would fix the various issues. Got the estimate quickly through email and agreed on a date. Mike was on time, professional, let us know exactly what would need to be done, how much it would cost, how much time it would take, and he delivered on 100% of it. He listened to what we wanted to have done, and offered the best solutions for what we needed. We're very happy with the work, and would use him again in the future for any other projects!

Mike completed the job in the timeline he provided, in fact, he also dealt with additional work that came up (re-framing some studs) once he began the work.

I was very pleased with the service provided. I felt the price charged was very fair and the work done was exactly what we asked for. Additionally, Mike always responded to our messages and was always on time.

Mike went far and above what was contracted. After removing clapboards, extensive damage from carpenter ants was discovered. Mike and crew removed all damaged wood (very significant amount) and replaced. Even though the job took much longer than expected, Mike completed it in a timely manner. He insisted on showing us the damage and what was going on at every point, especially if something new was found. We couldn't have been more satisfied with the job and definitely would hire him again.

Mike was very professional and personable when he came to provide a quote. The air conditioner was in a precarious position and we were in fear of it falling out of the window. Mike was able to take care of the removal the next day. He and another worker arrived at 8:00 a.m. the next morning and were able to remove the air conditioner without incident. Before long they had finished all the items needing attention. Mike is a very nice, down-to-earth guy. He is easy to talk to and his pricing seemed fair. They arrived on time, knew what needed to be done and how to do it. So glad we found him!! Will definitely use him again and recommend him to friends.

Mike & crew did an awesome job. Mike was very responsive to all my questions via the messaging center and provided me a fair estimate Mike was on time, completed the work as agreed, cleaned up (dust/vacuum) the workplace before leaving. He even go an extra mile painting the wall to match the color. I also had Mike give me an estimate for another work. I would absolutely use Mike and his crew again and would highly recommend them to anyone.
