When my wife and I saw a dim spot on our kitchen ceiling grow increasingly yellow, we braced ourselves for an expensive and cumbersome job. Thanks to Mike, we avoided a nightmare and instead got a service dream come true. Mike promptly returned my call explaining the problem, came to asess the situation for free a couple days later, and booked a convenient time to perform what he thought would solve the problem: regrouting and recaulking our shower/tub stall. (I was prepared to re-tile, if not punch a hole in my kitchen ceiling!) The next Friday, Mike showed up on time with everything he needed for the job. When one of our tiles cracked, he drove down to Home Depot to get a replacement and was back within minutes. The finished job, which took about 4 hours, was immaculate: neat, clean, even aesthetic! My wife and I are no longer getting a single drop of water outside that stall. I was thrilled at how affordable this fix was: it's clear that Mike's success comes from extremely competitive pricing and VERY satisfied customers who refer him. He will be my very first call the next time I need a friendly, skilled and thorough pro to tackle a home project.

It went very well. All the annoying things on my list got done, from broken fence, to hanging curtain rods to fixing doors that would not close, and attaching stopper in bathroom sink

All went perfectly. He shows up when he says he will, does all the work in the time expected, and cleans up after himself. He does beautiful work. Everything was wonderful, even better than expected. We've already called him to work for us again, and would next time we need something done. He's very easy to work with, and a nice guy.

My husband and I urgently needed to have two exterior doors replaced this week. We contacted Mike in the morning on Tuesday, and he was able to come by for a free estimate that afternoon. Mike understood our requests right away and had a good idea of what needed to be done upon seeing the sites. One of the doors to be replaced was of unusual dimensions. Having that door custom-made was certainly an option. Mike offered an alternative solution to just tailor a regularly-sized door because of cost and the time-constrain, even though it would involve a lot more work and skills of him. We also asked him a repair a window screen. His quote came in Wednesday morning, and it was a LOT less than the quote I got from another contractor. We decided to work with Mike. Mike called us back quickly after we left him a message. The phone communication with him was clear and effective. We quickly scheduled a shopping trip for Thursday. With our limited amount of knowledge on the subject, we prefer to have our contractor do the shopping to make sure we have all the right materials before start. Mike only charged a small fee for the shopping trip, and he did not mind us going with him. It was money well-spent because 1. we got to pick the style of door and hardware we liked, which avoided the possibility of frustration and wasting time to exchange the goods, 2. Mike explained things patiently to us during shopping, and we learned a lot, and 3. we just simply did not have a vehicle to transport the doors! Mike started punctually on New Year Day morning. He was organized and professional. He set up his tools quickly and got to work right away. Although he certainly had his preferred ways to do things, throughout the day, he did take time to discuss with us the situation and explain the rationale of his preference. Since our house was built in the 20s and had undergone multiple modifications (possibly by people with questionable expertise), the door frames were not in very good conditions. They were not leveled top and bottom, and they were quite worn where the locks needed to go. Mike was very patient and focused all day. For the door of unusual dimensions, Mike skillfully tailored a regular, full-sized door to fit the frame perfectly. We are very happy with the craftsmanship of Mike?s work. After the work was done, Mike cleaned up the area for us, even though it was already kind of late. In summary, Mike was very responsive and professional to our calls and questions. He was punctual to appointments, and his craftsmanship was great. We have already had our next job for him in our minds.

He was phenomenal and he gave me an estimate for $2000. There was another company that gave me an estimate for $3000 and they were recommended by a friend of mine. However, Mike worked with me once he got here to even break that down further. He was always on time and he did what he said he would do. He went over and above a few times to help me. He was pretty fantastic. He was really very good about helping me with the cost when I said that my budget was less. He told me that he would fix a few little things for me at no charge. The door handle at my one bedroom apartment had been broken by my tenant. So, what Mike did was that he realized what had happened by looking at the door. He then went out and got a wire cutter. He cut the screws and then fixed the handle for me. He also let me take down the wallpaper and paint the kitchen which was originally in all the 3 estimates that I had got. He didn't mind when I asked him if I could do that. He also gave me tips on how to do it more efficiently and how to make it look as professional as I could. He helped me with tips and was amicable. He was really gracious about how to help me and how to make things look good. He didn't take any advantage of the situation. He was very professional and a good guy as well.

Mike did a great job from start to finish. He was very repsonsive and professional. all materials were piked up by him and discussed prior to the application. the work was completed within the timeframe discussed! would absolutely recommend him!

Mike showed up exactly when he said he would. He explained every step. To make things go quicker, I went out and got the additional materials and supplies he needed. It took about 2.5 hours than expected - he took his time and did the job well. I will definately call Mike again.

I got Mike's contact information from Angie's List on the November 3. I called him and he came out. He gave me a bid. I said okay. He bought the materials that night and was on the job the next morning at 8 AM. The work was done to perfection. I am going to hire him again and would recommend him to anyone. He listens to what you tell him, and he explains what he's going to do and why.

We called Mike for a leak in our ceiling. Mike diagnosed the problem as coming from our upstairs shower. He purchased all of the supplies and fixed both the shower and the damaged ceiling.

Mike is customer-focused - concerned that you are / get satisfied. He does whatever it takes to get you there. He is professional, quality-focused, fair, and honest - not easy to find these days. I plan to have Mike do additional work for me. I highly recommend him.

They met with me a couple of weeks earlier to assess the project, made a supply list with me and I tracked down the supplies. When we hit a couple of bumps in the road, (not enough chain, a pulley broke and could not be reinstalled, they worked with me to stay with the project while I went in search of hard-to-find window parts. The windows were back in the house in a day. It turned out the putty was slower to dry than indicated and the paint I got wasn't a good match, so Mike came back a week later to finish the painting. He even touched up a chip in the wood work on a street leve window. No more drafty windows for this winter!

Mike's professionalism is second to none! I had talked to several other "window" people about the window I wanted installed where previously none existed. According to these other workers, the project would be very difficult, that it would take two days, that it would cost over $2000. Mike and his partner had more carpenter and overall hanymen skills, which clearly were necessary in knowing how to size up what would need to be done. The window people I had contacted previously didnt want to take on a project outside of replacing old windows with new ones, but gave me ridiculous quotes instead of saying they couldnt handle the project! My son had no window in his basement bedroom we made for him a few years back, and we needed someone with abilities and a positive, professional attitude to work with us on this quality-of-life construction project! Paul and his partner itemized the repair costs, explained options on the window, and didnt seem to be turned off as the others had that he would be cutting through aluminum siding. The finished project looks great, is functional, and my son now has daylight and fresh air in his basement room! I will definitely be calling Paul back to help with other projects!

Mike came on time on his first visit. He took time to explain every detail of the job and made sure we were on the same page. Because we discussed everything at the time of the estimation, the result was exactly the way I wanted it. He will come back to do another job for me in few weeks. I had a really good experience with Mike.

VERY PROFESSIONAL and pleasant to have working in my home. finished under estimated time frame.

They were very reliable and polite. The quality of the work they did was excellent, and they left the areas worked on spotless.

Despite responding in a timely matter, arriving on time to make an estimate and then scheduling a date to do the job; he called two weeks later, a just over a week before the job was to be done, to CANCEL, thus wasting four weeks of my time on getting this project done. Very disappointing after getting a good feeling up to the point of cancellation.

I had several companies come in to bid. Mike and his partner arrived promptly for thier estimate, took measurements and spent a good amount of time speaking with me about what I specifically needed to be done. They were very approachable and informative about what they'd need to do and how they would get it done. They did a terrific job during the estimate to give me a clear idea of what they could do, and when they would be able to get it done. After taking their measurements and seeing what the job entailed they let me know it would be a couple days before they could get back to me with an estimate; they needed to price materials so their estimate was accurate. Mike got back to me as promised a couple of days later with the estimate and gave me the time I needed to consult with the other owner. We scheduled the work and confirmed the price. It was going to take 2 days to complete. When it came time to get the job done, Mike confirmed the appointment a couple of days ahead, arrived promptly as promised and worked FAST! I really appreciated having two guys working on the project at once and how much more they could get done. I also really appreciated that it wasn't a subcontractor or another employee who came and did the work. I felt much more comfortable with the guys who did the estimate and planned the execution of the job doing the work - it contributed to the fabulous finish and the short time frame. They replaced insulation, installed footers, attached studs, plastered plywood, installed sheetrock, patched holes, installed baseboards (on a curved wall), applied at least 2 coats of joint compound and sanded it for priming and painting. Thye also caulked the baseboard for a smooth finish and were careful to maintain the warranty on the drain system that was installed by not nailing into the concrete. In addition to the work they were contracted to do, they did a great job of cleaning up the site in between days and when they left, they not only vacuumed the area, but swept the upstairs where some sawdust had migrated. They brought their own vacuum because they didn't want to clog mine up with dust!!! WOW!

Overall everything went great. We had a problem with one of the replacement windows but Mike was quick to offer solutions and advice. He was ontime and even worked late to make sure everything was done the same day. Our only complaint is that some of his tools scratched our ebony hardwood floors, but its a minor fix. I would use him again in a heartbeat!

Mike was an absolute professional from day one. He is very neat. At the end of the day you wouldn't have know he was there. He explained everything very clearly and delivered on everything he promised. Mike has very high reviews, but even I was blown away at how pleased I was with his work and professionalism. Mike is going to be the only person I call for work I need done around the house that I either can't do or don't have time to do.

The porch turned out great. The new steps are a serious improvement, and the new paint job makes the entire porch look beautiful I'm very pleased.

After a couple of back and forth calls, we agreed on a date and time. He checked in a few days prior and arrived promptly that day at the time agreed upon. He was very flexible and did a thorough, complete and professional job at a very fair price. Happy to have hired him.
