Description of Work: I used Mike in December 2012 and he did a great job then so when I needed some more work done, I attempted to contact him several times in April 2013 via Angie's List, email, and phone. He never responded. Nobody is that busy to return a email or phone call. Would not recommend.

Description of Work: Mike was great. He is very responsive. He called ahead to confirm the appointment and supplies he was picking up. He explained how he would do all the work and all the options. He also gave an item by item estimate. We had a wall with a bunch of holes from electric work as well as a large glued on mirror. The mirror was removed and the holes patches up perfectly. The wall was painted and looks perfectly smooth. Same thing was done in a bathroom - wall repair and painting. Mike also repaired a broken window pane and covered up duct work from a central air installation. The cover is fully flush with the wall and looks like part of the wall. I am very happy with the work and the communication and will be using Mike again for some more work in the house. Update: Mike also installed closet doors in our house. This did not turn out to be very simply as the openings for the closets were not really level. He adjusted the openings, fixed the trim, and installed the doors. He also covered up additional duct work from the central air installation and did the trim around that, so it looks like part of the wall. Great work.

Description of Work: We were very pleased! We had multiple tasks to be performed that required someone who could work with 13 ft ceilings. He hung blinds and pictures for us that we would never been able to do on our own. Very prompt, efficient, and professional. Costs were high but worth it.

Description of Work: Mike showed up when promised and did a excellent job replacing my front storm door. The job required the door frame to be extended before the new storm door could be installed and Mike was able to rise to the unplanned additional task in truly professional manor. I recommend his services and will use him again in the future.

Description of Work: FENCE WAS DAMAGED DURING STORM SANDY. I CALLED MIKE FOR AN ESTIMATE ON MAKING MY FENCE STRAIGHT AGAIN. THE PEOPLE WHO PUT THE FENCE IN DID NOT CEMENT THE POSTS AND THEY HAD TO BE SECURED. MIKE WAS VERY HELPFUL AND DID A VERY GOOD JOB.HE WAS COURTEOUIS AND VERY INFORMATIVE. THE FIGURE HE QUOATED WAS THE FIGURE HE CHARGED , THERE WAS NO HIDDEN FEES.I AM VERY PLEASED WITH HIS WORK AND WILL NOT HESTITIATE TO CALL HIM AGAIN.

Description of Work: Mike replaced a small set of wooden steps, painted two large windows and replaced wood damaged after a storm.

Description of Work: Job well done! Mike and his partner replaced boards underneath my deck. Installed a new kitchen faucet and replaced a piece of siding on my house.

Description of Work: Mike came by early and worked on a two man job by himself. he stayed well past the time I expected him to. Both doors were put on flawlessly. I will definitely use Mike again in the near future.

Description of Work: Mike responded to my email in a timely fashion. I had a custom basement door that has needed to be replaced for years. He met me at my house and took all the necessary measurements and gave me a quote to install the door. His quote was very good. Mike came and installed the door and hauled away the old door. His work was excellent. We couldn't be happier with the work he did.

Description of Work: Mike and his assistant did a great job. Among other things, they replaced my back yardlight and installed a solar-powered light in the front; removed damaged parts of old plaster walls and put in new drywall; installed a keyboard tray under my desk; and repaired two downspouts. They did a nice job of cleaning up the areas where they worked, and were friendly and professional. Mike did forget to keep our first appointment for the estimate, but he called me twice the next day and was extremely apologetic. I felt he made a real effort to keep my business. I appreciated this a lot. Other handymen have bailed on me over the years and haven't even bothered to call me. I would definitely hire Mike again, and recommend him highly.

Description of Work: Installed two ceiling fans. Fan installation was rather complex. Mike did a very professional job, consulted with me as questions came up and made sure that I was happy with the work. I would absolutely recommend Mike.

Description of Work: Replaced and patched an elevated wood floor in the basement, two separate holes. Each 2' x 2' roughly.

Description of Work: Mike removed old (gross) caulk & recaulked a tub surround. He also removed the old sliding shower doors, cleaned it up, and installed a shower curtain. He also replaced the shower head. Through his own initiative, he caulked behind the kitchen sink, as well - it looks great! This is a rental unit, and I was unaware of the condition of the kitchen sink. I had given him some freedom, and he took that initiative. I would definitely use him again - for this unit and for my own home.

Description of Work: Mike was called because I had a few small odds and ends on my to-do list which required a handyman. He arrived on time and was very nice. He put together a Target table, hung a shelf (that would seem to be an easy job but kept giving me trouble). Mike took care of it! He also helped me move my living room furniture around. I have heavy furniture and a bad knee. Then I asked him to build a small-ish, swing gate for my back deck. It is so cute and works perfectly! He even came back a week later because we think it 'settled' so the hook and latch didn't align properly. It's perfect now. I highly recommend him to anyone with a list of things they either just can't get to, have no idea how to do, or just don't want to do! :) Mike was very nice and professional. I will call Mike again for other projects. Having a good contact makes me want to do more repairs and updates to my condo since I know they can be done properly. It's a nice feeling to be able to rely on a contractor. That definitely does not happen often! Everyone call Mike!
