Phenomenal service! Would highly recommend Connolly Floors to the world. Great customer service and responsiveness. Showed up on time and did the work as promised in a timely fashion. The quality of the work is fantastic and he left the workspace super clean. What can I say...real happy with quality of his work and my floors look brand new;-)

Based on his reviews I'm surprised I'm writing this, but I'm very frustrated. I called and and made an appointment for an estimate for Saturday September 7th Michelle was nice and I was optimistic this was going to go well. However, when Saturday came he was a no call no show. His wife Michelle then emailed me to say there was an illness in the family and she didn't provide Jack with my contact and estimate information. I found that hard to believe because I called and spoke with Jack from my cell phone and he was aware o the appointment and would have had my number on his phone. That being said, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and we made another appointment for today between 8:30 and 9. Well here it is 10:30 and I had another no call no show. I stayed home 2 Saturday mornings waiting...I deserved the courtesy of at least a phone call.

FANTASTIC! I went through a series of roadblocks on the way to closing on the new house, after 3 months delays and my schedule issues, Jack and Michelle were able to fit me on with short notice and get the job done in a single day. Jack was great when we did the initial walk through about what my options were, and one option was just buffing out and refinishing, and he was right on the money, while the floors aren't "like new perfect" they are wonderful! they still have all the character that a 100+ year old house should have. The flaws in the wood, the old bumps and scrapes all show that the house has been around and will continue to be around if I treat her right.

I recently bought a house and was trying to get my floors refinished before moving in all of my furniture. Connolly Floors was able to fit me into their schedule on pretty short notice, and they gave me the best price out of several companies I contacted. They showed up exactly when they said they would, the work was done on schedule, and now the floors look great!

Connolly Floors exceeded my expectations. Jack came out to give me a quote and explained what he and his team would be doing. Being that the job meant that I would have to be out of the house for a few days while they did the work I had to coordinate my time very carefully. With Connolly Floors it was no issue - they were able to come the exact week that I wanted them to come. I had them sand and finish my hardwood floors with 3 coats of Polyurethane using an Oil Base finish on 2 different levels as well as a staircase. They also fixed two broken stairs that I had as well as fixing a gap I had between my kitchen and family room. When we came home and saw the work after being away for 5 days both my wife and I saw the floors and felt like we just bought a new house! Everything looked amazing. All in all - they were reasonably priced, efficient, did exactly what they said that they would, and it came out beautiful. I would recommend them to anybody needing their floors done.

Overall I am very pleased with Connolly floors. Was able to get an appointment quickly, within a few days. The owner, Jack, was a pleasant fellow to converse with, and arrived on the dot. My job was simple, a standard 12 x 12 more or less square bedroom, I had taken the old carpet out, and the hardwood flooring below had some stains, but overall in decent shape. The price was fair, a minimum charge for the room. We could not get it scheduled as soon as I'd liked, but we were able to schedule a date that worked for both of us. The crew was in and out within hours, and came back the next day to apply another coat. The smell was annoying, but unavoidable for a few days. The resulting floors look great! I am happy with their service and will likely use them again in the future.

Connolly Floors started May 30th and he just finished last week. It was the smallest job although it was a decent job, it just took way longer than I thought it should have. I thought that he was hard to schedule and he kept coming back a couple of weeks later at a time to do additional coats. He didn't want to communicate a time to meet with me. He would just basiclly call me that morning and say "I'm coming today." Sometimes I wasn't home or it was just not going to work out so scheduling was a problem. The overall product was okay. I asked him to paint the railing, I didn't know if I had to specific about sanding it down which he didn't so he basically just polyurethaned it. I would say that you need to be very specific in what you want done. The railings came out like crap.

Jack Connolly, the owner of Connolly Floors, came out to give me a estimate to install the floors. I had a particular way in which I wanted the floors installed so that it would fit perfectly into my home. Connolly Floors was not receptive to installing the floors in this fashion, and wanted to have floor installed in a way in which would not be satisfactory to me. They stated that they would follow up with me, and give me a quote to have the work done. I have not heard from Connolly, nor have they stopped by to to follow up with me and give me my quote. I feel as though the interactions I had with Connolly were not professional, as I am the paying customer, and was willing to pay to have the floors installed exactly as I wanted. I am still waiting to hear from Connolly Floors three weeks after they were originally in my home.

Second time using Jack and crew after nothing but compliments from friends and family on our floors first time. These guys care about the details, pride their high quality, are responsive and friendly. They also worked through a weekend to meet their deadline and not cause a ripple effect to other contractors. Staining hardwood floors is an art form, so don't settle for anybody who doesn't respect that like Jack and crew do. We will absolutely use again and again and recommend them to anybody.

Jack and Michelle were AWESOME to work with. The whole process was so smooth and easy- just how we wanted it. This is our first home, so we weren't sure on what to do exactly, but Jack and Michelle walked us through the whole process. They were prompt at returning e-mails and phone calls, too. Very responsive and very kind. Jack did a great job on the floors. No scuffs on the walls either which I was concerned about. He was there early and worked throughout the day. Connolly Floors was great to work with. The completed the work on schedule and everything turned out beautifully. We will definitely be using them again if the need arises.

He is simply fantastic. From day 1, my husband and I were thoroughly impressed with Connolly Floors. Their team was professional, helpful, and extremely quick in getting back to us and giving us a quote. The floors look absolutely incredible and are gorgeous. He ripped up the old green carpet in the den and installed beautiful hardwood floors to match the rest of the house. The previous owners had been in the house for many years and it wasn't until the final walk through before buying our new house that we saw the scratches and stains underneath their rugs and couches. He took them from horrible to flawless. We found them on Angie's list and I have to say that all the great reviews are true-they are nice, impressive, and they call you back-something other companies didn't do or were not as friendly and helpful. Because of this great experience and another job with another company, we definitely are using Angie's list to find more companies for jobs we need around our new house. Again, I would recommend them to anyone-they exceeded our expectations.

Jack and his crew did a great job for us. Floor looks great and repair of stained flooring is invisible. Price quoted was very fair, and included more repair than turned out to be necessary. Final price was reduced to account for savings in repair! The guys were on time, very neat, and professional. Would use again for sure.

We were EXTREMELY pleased with Jack's work! We needed to have all of the hardwood floors on the 1st floor of our colonial sanded and refinished. We had quotes from several other firms that had top ratings on Angie's List but we selected Jack since he responded very quickly, was obviously very experienced and knowledgable, and his quote was definitely the best. We received quotes for nearly double that of Jack's for the exact same work - and the job that Jack did was perfect - the floors look like brand new. His crew came out on time each day, they cleaned up the area completely at the end of each day - and there was little to no dust! We were amazed. We also were able to stay in our house during the 3 days that the work was done - we stayed off the first floor during the day and Jack told us when it was safe each evening to walk on the floor. The odor was not bad at all (we did board our cockatiel though just to be safe since birds can be sensitive to the fumes - even though we knew this, I was impressed that Jack also suggested this to us when he came to give us the quote). We highly recommend Jack - he is very pleasant to work with and really does an outstanding job!

Jack did an outstanding job. I was on a very tight schedule as I wanted the floors done after some de-leading work was finished and before I moved in. He was *very* flexible regarding start date and timing, even as dates and times shifted at the last minute. He and is crew were punctual and did an amazing job. The floors looked pretty bad before, now they are usually what visitors comment on regarding how beautiful they look. I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

I needed floors done in a hurry as new tenants were moving in. Jack said he would try to move stuff around so he could be there the next morning. he was able to do it, showed up on time, finished when he said he would, and did an excellent job at a very fair price. I've used Jack in the past, and he is always the person I would call first for hardwood floors.

We had an estimate done about six weeks before the work. Both the estimate and the work were done promptly and as scheduled. They lost a day because of a snowstorm, and still managed to finish as scheduled--which was important to us because we had moved out for the week and wanted to get back in. The floors look great, several stained and worn spots are entirely 'erased'. The rest of the house was nearly dust-free, so they did a great job of sealing off doors and a built-in bookcase. Communication was great and the trust level very high--we basically left the house in their hands for five days. We recommend them highly.

Outstanding from start to finish. Jack's estimate was prompt and he was 1/2 my other two estimates. He showed up on the promised date, did outstanding work, and even gave me a 5% discount because I found him on Angie's List. One last thing - Jack helped me wrap up my old carpet - he went above and beyond. I would definitely use him again - he was great.

All around great experience with Jack at Connolly Floors. Received a prompt quote nearly half as much as others, right on time for the appraisal, and finished the work exactly on the timeline given. The floors came out immaculate and really turned the place around. HIGHLY recommended - great service all the way around and will certainly be using him in the future.

The project started out as a buffing of the kitchen floor as it didn't really need to be refinished or so I thought. Turns out that the floor cleaner and polish I was using on the floor was causing a buildup so they were unable to buff the floor and had to refinish it. Jack was very knowledgeable and figured out the issue with the floor right away. Jack and his crew were very pleasant to work with. They had to do more work than a normal floor refinish due to the product I was using, But in the end the floor looks great and I am thrilled every time I walk on it.

I had read many reviews and decided to go with Jack since the price was the best for what I was looking for. I found this company extremely responsive and patient with all my questions, as well as helpful in deciding the best finish to use. I was given several quotes for all the options I was considering...water base vs oil base, buffing vs. sanding. The team showed up early and was waiting for me to arrive to let them in. They were all very professional and explained the process as they went along. They took care to keep the place clean and when they were finished you never would have known they were there...except for my beautiful floors! Moving day came and as luck would have it, I found a huge scratch in the finish on one of my floors. I email Jack to find out if there was something I could do to fix it and he offered to come out and fix it for me for free. He stated that he realizes that things happen when moving and offers this as a courtesy to his customers. When I'm ready, I'm going to call Jack again to refinish the other bedroom floor that I wasn't able to have done before I moved in. I highly recommend this company!!!! Superb!!

moving into a "new to us" home we had a lot of moving parts as we were doing some painting and other renovations. we looked on angie's list and picked out 3 top rated floor refinishing contractors. as we do with every project we learn from the contractors as we go as there's only so much you can read up in advance on the internet on a specific job. jack was the second contractor in for an estimate. he was a pro all the way through. he was willing to share his vast knowledge and explain his methods and recommendations. when asked, 'what are the things that you do that make you stand out and what kind of shortcuts do we have to be worried about other's taking', he was very honest and even acknowledged that some of his competitors (which we were looking into) did a great job too. Jack's just comes across as a great human being. he was honest that his price was lower than some and above others. he knew his competitors price per square foot (impressive). he explained that he used the same sanders as the 'dustless' providers out there with the exception that they don't run the vacuums from a van. having had floors refinished in another home earlier without the 'dustless' systems, i believe that with the right crew the dust wouldn't be noticeable. his recommendation for primers and finishes was spot on for our needs (our puppy didn't allow for a high gloss finish) and he explained that the sem-gloss would also match other areas of the house that had new hardwood floors put in about 3 years ago. we try to support local small business as much as possible. with jack it was a no brainer for us. it's always great when you find skilled craftsman that are honest and nice.

All of the work was performed prior to my moving to Massachusetts, so I was not present when the work was performed. I was very pleased with the quality of their work. The new floors and very well done and look beautiful.I felt that the price wasvery competitive and am glad I selected Connolly Floors.

Spoke to Jack and set up an appointment for him to come out and give us an estimate. He did no show up on the first day we had scheduled so I called him to check if he was still coming after waiting about an hour after our scheduled time. He told me he had simply forgot about our appointment. I thought okay let's try this again. The second date scheduled he was over an hour late. When he finally arrived I told him that I nearly gave up waiting and he told me that he was on time and that I had the time wrong. Again, I thought okay, I'll let the time thing go -- the guy seemed nice enough and I was hoping that he would finally get us an estimate and he might perhaps be the guy who would install our new floor. He seemed knowledgeable about his craft which I liked. At the end of our meeting he told me he would email me the estimate. He also offered to email me information about a place to purchase hardwood flooring that he recommended. I waited for 2 weeks to receive an estimate or the recommended hardwood flooring outfit he told me he would send. After not hearing from Jack after over 2 weeks I called to check with him when we could expect to receive the estimate. I certainly understand that contractors can often take a few weeks to provide customers with an estimate so I was willing to wait. However, Jack did not respond to my voicemail nor did he ever provide an estimate. I simply never heard from him again. I would not recommend Connolly Floors. Cannot understand why he neglected to respond to a prospective customer....I just don't get that.

great attitude, always available, good crew, careful. good price. Do not waste time calling around. Call Jack and will take care of you. I rarely write great reviews on services, because my expectations are high. They were easy to deal with and did a nice job.
