They did a fantastic job! I liked Jack's work so much I had them come back and do another room. They completed the job on time and reasonably priced. They left the house very clean. MIchelle was great corresponding through email. They make a good team.

It all went really well. They were able to weave the old and new floors together nicely.

From my initial contact with Connolly Floors, things went very well. They were quick to respond to my initial call, quick to provide an estimate (which they stuck to) and made scheduling easy. They were accurate in the time estimate of the work and provided the name of an excellent mover which was necessary for my job. They also have dustless sanders which was important to me with an asthmatic in the house. Not every floor company has dustless sanders and it is worth finding that detail out. Everyone who showed up at my house was friendly, hard-working, and trustworthy. My only problem is they did a much better job than the original refinisher and I will have to have them to come back and refinish the first floor later this year because of the excellent quality of their work. They offer a customer loyalty discount for future jobs. My only very minor complaint is they didn't tell me to leave the house the days the oil finish went on and the smell was strong enough that ideally, you should be out. I recommend Connolly Floors without reservation and will be using them again.

Jack Connolly responded within the day and we set up a date to start shortly thereafter. On that date, they had a problematic floor before mine and arrived later than expected. However, once I called Mr. Connolly and left a message, he returned the call within the hour. I thanked him for that. When the refinishers arrived they rapidly setup, sanded both by machine and by hand on the edges and corners. The first coat went down after that. Throughout the workers responded well to all my questions. Two more days brought quick visits to add the last two coats. They were courteous, respectful and responsive throughout. The final cure was 48 hours before furniture could be set up again. The floor is now beautiful again.

Outstanding! I've had hardwood floors redone in multiple houses over many years and this was the best job I've ever had done. Bill and his crew of 2 came in, removed the very old carpets (over 30 years) not knowing what we'd find underneath. They removed and disposed of the carpet and prepped the floors all in one day, with an absolute minimum of dust and fuss. Frankly I was amazed that day one went so smoothly. On days 2 and 3 they came did whatever minor corrections were necessary, and applied a full 2nd and 3rd coat. They also installed 2 thresholds to match existing ones in the hallway. The floors came out superb with a minimum of odor, even though it was oil based. The price was less expensive than some of my other estimates and with a small Angies List discount I felt like I got a really good bargain with high quality work. I would only say that Jack and Michelle are "old school". If you want a lot of communication and hand holding in advance, you aren't going to get it from them. You hire them for the job, they show up and do the job. Once again, a superb job and I would use them again in a heartbeat!

Fantastic! The crew was great and they left the house just as they found it. The floors and stairs are absolutely beautiful. Very happy with results.

After some confusion as to a few scheduling issues, the overall job performance was exceptional. Senior worker Bill did a excellent job, professional and curious. I would definitely recommend.

We had a bad water leak in a den with a flat roof. When we removed the carpet, rubber pad and a layer of linoleum tile, we found an oak floor. It was pretty damaged, and had been under all those layers, (plus the water from the leak), for about 60 years. Jack came and gave us a very reasonable estimate, though we had to wait a few weeks before he could do it. He had to replace several sections of flooring, and it was red oak, which is apparently hard to find. But he did most of the work himself and with 2 helpers, and it was done in 4 days. Sometimes it took a while to get responses to e-mails and phone calls (just to find out when he was coming, etc.), but he did eventually get back to us and was very honest about what it would cost and that he couldn't promise a great outcome. In the end it came out great--some of the color is a slightly uneven, but that's from the wood itself, not from the way they did the job. The smell was intense, but it dissipated about 4 days after the last polyurethane application. (he had warned us of that, so it wasn't a surprise).

Jack was mostly punctual. Communication was very easy. His work was excellent, and we are very happy with his work. He was very responsive (had to redo a small spot--not his fault) and his price was very reasonable. I would definitely use his services again.

Jack was very easy to work with and his team was respectful and courteous. They showed up when they said they would, performed the work we agreed to at the agreed upon price, and my floors look great. They also took the time to answer any questions I had about the process. They did a good job containing the dust from the sanding. I would recommend Jack. In fact, I'm going to have them do additional floors for me now that I really wasn't planning on getting done for a year. But the end result was so good, and working with them was so easy....might as well do it now.

Floors look fabulous. The guys did a great job. I am so happy with the finished product. I would absolutely use Connolly Floors again.

It was the perfect situation-refinish the floors in an empty house prior to move in. We requested a quote, and while it was far from the lowest bid, the reviews on Angie's List were so stellar, we decided to go with them. Jack and crew showed up when they said they would on the first day and, even though they had to redo a floor because of staining issues, finished a day later than anticipated-even working on the 4th of July! On first look, the floors were amazing-super shiny. However, once we really started checking things out, we noticed things were far from ok. Several stained handprints on freshly painted walls, major scuff marks that did not come off with general cleaning, and several areas of refinished floors that had bumps similar to sandpaper feel. I contacted Michelle and was assured these problems would be fixed-she also informed me that they had to fire one of their workers that was on the job at my house. We arranged to have Jack come take a look (which should have happened prior to me being told the job was done) and clean up the walls and have a look at the floors. In hindsight, Jack should have arranged to meet up with me so I could show him what areas I was concerned about. Alas, that was not the case. Jack came over, cleaned off one wall (still needed to repaint it however) and said he didn't notice anything else. We showed several friends the 'mess' that was left from this job to make sure that we weren't overreacting and every person agreed that this was not how our house should look after having floors refnished. After several more emails and phone calls, the ball landed in Jack's court and I said I would like for him to come over so I could meet with him. After not hearing from him, I emailed Michelle one final time to solve this problem and was told that Jack did call me back and even stopped by my house to try to 'catch' me (funny seeing that I wasn't even living there during the majority of this correspondence-as we bought a fixer upper and were doing a great amount of work to it). Michelle's response was: " He had every intention of rectifying all the issues you had. We have tried to meet up with you but it seems there are weeks in between the messages....I just don't know what more I can say. I don't know that anything we say is going to stop you from giving us the review that you intend to give us...." I really wanted to end on a positive note with this job. All I was looking for was for Jack to come back to my house so I could discuss with him the issues I had-if there were any unresolved issues, I would assume a business owner would address them, regardless of how much time had gone by since the job was finished or how much phone tag was being played.

Went well though I did not wind up using them.

They showed up on time and everything was in the budget. It was clean and there wasn't a lot of dust. The interaction was great. They responded to every email and phone call as soon as they received it. They were great.

Absolutely stunning. I bought the house in March and had the floors done prior to moving in and they were amazing. The prior tenants had 4 dogs and the floor were a mess. Connolly's fit me in on a tight schedule as we weren't exactly sure when the painters were going to finish. I have given their name to other people to use and I would hands down use them again. I was so pleased with the way the floors came out.

About 1 year ago, Connolly Floors refinished my bedroom floor. I hired them after a fair amount of research - they delivered the best value/price alternative. Connolly Floors did a great job on the bedroom, so I hired them again to refinish the balance of the floors in the house. The job was somewhat complex, including a couple rooms that had to be done in 2 parts because all of the furniture could not be moved out of the rooms. First, let me say that overall I am very happy with the final work. The floors came out great and the price was very fair. However, Jack (the owner) subbed the work out originally, and while the sub-contractor tried hard, the work the sub did was not up to par. Jack had to come back and re-do the work, causing a 2 week job to take closer to 4 weeks. Jack and Michelle worked hard to resolve the problem and were very attentive, but I was still pretty much out of my house for a month. I highly recommend this vendor, as long as you get their commitment that they won't sub out the work.

Jack was on site every day. Communication with both Jack (in-person) and Michelle (email & phone) was timely and professional. Price was more than fair and we even received a 10% Angie's List discount at the end. I asked Jack to come back and redo one part of the project and he did so without complaint and in a timely fashion. We plan to use him again when we redo two other bedroom floors and the living room. Connolly Floors has earned my highest rating!

It went very well. They were professional and on time and cleaned up their mess. They were great to work with and were able to squeeze me in with a tight time frame. We were really happy with the way the floor looked.

I already knew the area of the floor and what I would like to get so they provided the price via phone and email. I choose among 5 different providers. Connolly Floors answered every single question I had, there were no hidden fees/services like additional price for dustless or anything like that. I scheduled them Sunday they came Wednesday and finished y Friday. Excellent job, I would highly recommend them.

We hired Connolly Floors to remove old carpet and refinish hardwood floors in our new house before we moved in. We scheduled them to come in after we'd had some painting done. The carpet was mostly properly removed and the floors generally looked great. There were two major issues that kept us from giving an A rating. First, on our staircase there were nails poking out that could have injured someone. There were also still bits of carpet left on the underside of some steps. Second, they did not take appropriate care to protect our brand new paint job while they were working - our painter was very upset when he came back after they had finished. Walls were scraped and handprints were left on some walls. The painter had to repaint walls in several rooms to repair the damage. Connolly Floors did fix the nails on the stairs and deduct $200 from our bill when we complained about these issues. That was a reasonable remedy which covered the extra painting costs we incurred, but we would have been much happier if the problems had not occurred in the first place.

Fantastic company. Easy to coordinate services, showed up on time, went the extra mile. Definitely hire them! We couldn't be more pleased.

the workers that arrived were vere polite and professional,they came in got right to work ,were very neat .they also cleaned up after themselves. When they were done we were very surprised and delighted at how beaytiful the floor looked.We will have them do the rest of our floors when we are ready .

We had a fantastic experience and could not be happier. The experience was positive from the first contact until the completion of the work. Jack and Michelle were incredibly accommodating, as we needed to coordinate the floor work with other work being done on our house at the same time and had to reschedule several times. The crew was great -- prompt, courteous, hardworking, and our floors are gleaming and look gorgeous! They also recommended a colleague (David) who helped us move our furniture in and out of the house while the floors were done, and he was great as well. We have already recommended them to other people and would definitely use Jack and his crew again if we decide to redo the rest of our floors at a later time.
