I will continue to use Kevin and his crew for all future carpentry or handyman work. He is great to work with, and cares about the little things that others would overlook. He has a great personality and does excellent work (and we are picky!).

Kevin and his team did a FANTASTIC job. My new maple staircase looks beautiful and is very well constructed. Kevin is extremely conscientious and was there at every part of the job. He recognized where the stair height had been off a bit originally, and he remedied that. They come when they say they will, they protect the area from any dust or dirt while they are working, and they are totally prepared all the time. The price was very reasonable and the quality was excellent. I highly recommend Catarino Construction.

Kevin was terrific. He showed up promptly when he said he would to give a consultation and suggest ways in which to save money on the project. His quote was very reasonable and the work was better than I ever expected. Kevin paid great attention to detail, was extremely responsive, communicated throughout the process from purchasing material through install, was courteous, kind, clean and reliable. I will absolutely hire him again in the future and would recommend him whole heartedly.

If you are looking for somebody dedicated, talented, detail oriented and dependable then I would highly recommend Kevin and his team. Initially they did stairs and then ended up remodeling the kitchen, adding a new bathroom, putting new pergo floors, tiles in a short amount of time with very high quality of workmanship.

Let me start with a confession: I should have posted this review a long, long time ago, as soon as the work was done - I only wish I was not such a procrastinator. Having said that, my delay in submitting this review is in no way a reflection of my satisfaction with Catarino Construction, not at all. When it was time to implement the small home improvement project, I shopped around and had a few contractors give me an estimate. Catarino Construction was the last one to come take a look, and Kevin's attitude did make a very positive impression. Part of the work was to replace an old metal ramp which was no longer attached to the wall at the top of the stair. Once he saw how it was dangling off the wall, he was genuinely concerned and asked me if there were any children living with me. When I told him no small children are part of the household, he understood but countered that this doesn't make it any less dangerous a condition, and insisted to apply a temporary fix right away. He went out to his truck, got what he needed, came back and secured the ramp, and only then did he look around and estimated what the staircase project would cost me. He never considered charging for the temporary fix, and that personal touch is what won me over, so he got the contract on the spot. Working with Kevin was a pleasure throughout the project, he always stuck to the planned timeline, and made sure he alerted me as soon as he identified any potential delay. His workmanship left nothing to complain about, and he always cleaned up after himself before leaving for the day, so it never felt like a construction site. And when it was all done, I could not be happier with the work he did. When people ask if I know a good carpenter, I do not hesitate to pass on his number.

Kevin was fantastic. The bulkhead stairs had been cut out to move furniture out of the basement. He was very knowledgable and worked with me to create a custom solution for the staircase to accommodate future furniture moves. The entire project was completed in a day and he communicated with me every step of the way. I've already talked with him about doing additional work at the property and would highly recommend him to anyone.

Once again Kevin and his team were amazing! They pay great attention to detail and have always been a pleasure to work with on several projects. This time around Kevin did a major deck renovation as well as some paint/trim work around the house. He even stained our daughters outdoor play-set which wasn't in the original plan. My wife and I absolutely love Kevin and are looking forward to continue to work with him and his team in the future.

We had been looking for a handyman to help with some finish work and installation of a stairwell railing. Kevin reached out relatively quickly and was very professional on the phone. We had agreed to a price and scheduled a time to complete the work. The night before, I reached out to confirm the appointment and he informed me he would no longer be able to come out because of an emergency. We rescheduled for another date/time. An hour after the next scheduled appointment, he had still not shown up. When I reached out he indicated that he was sick and would have to reschedule. Maybe he did in fact have an emergency and then was sick for the second appointment, but a little heads up or communication would have gone a long way. Needless to say, we decided not to reschedule and are a bit disappointed because we originally chose to work with Kevin based on his reviews.

Kevin and his team are fantastic. Kevin is very responsive and holds to his commitments. The work performed was very high quality. The team was friendly and respectful. They cleaned up after themselves and finished the project early.

Kevin and Will are amazing! We needed a quick solution for some faulty stairs after our move-in and Kevin took care of it promptly and with high quality work! They also performed a few other projects for us as well and everything has been going very well. Will definitely be bringing them back for projects in the future!! Highly recommend

My husband is an experienced renovator and even he says that Kevin Mejia (Catarino Construction) and his men are doing a better job than he would ever do! I cannot stress enough the quality and hard work of this company, whose owner and workers all arrive on time every day. Kevin believes in doing the same quality work as he would do on his own home. And I am seeing, as he has completed the two top floors, that he means what he says. His prep work is done with care and thoroughness, to ensure not only beautiful results but a lasting paint job. He and his men are courteous and friendly. All this at a completely competitive price with the other 5 contractors that bid on the job. His professional manner and attention to detail during our first meeting to prepare for the bid, put him far above the others in my mind, so there was really no contest! We couldn't be happier.

Kevin and his team did an awesome job! We couldn't be happier with the experience and the results. They helped us take down an existing drop ceiling in our basement and replace it with bead board. They also made custom floor mouldings for the basement. After frustrating experiences with other contractors, it was refreshing to work with Kevin as he was responsive, honest, friendly, and reasonably priced. They provided quality, custom work and stayed until the job was done. We look forward to contacting him again for future jobs and have recommended them to all of our friends!

Kevin was very professional. He showed up when he said he would and kept me in the loop regarding his progress. The trim work was not initally apparent so when it was discovered he gave a written quote for that work as well.

It went very well. Kevin was very helpful and the work was done carefully. The team was professional and nice to have around; I would hire them again.

Everything went EXCELLENT from start to finish. He answered my call and assured me that he would be able to come out and see if he could fix my problem. Not only did he fix my problem, but he went above and beyond to make sure that I didn't have to spend any extra money needlessly.

We did not budget to do a kitchen remodel this summer, but because Kevin and William did such an amazing job with our side porch and bedroom remodel, we had to keep them on board to work on our kitchen. Kevin is extremely responsive, whether it is via email, cell or text. He was able to provide me a quote right away, gave us with a bunch of samples for the granite and tiles for the back splash and worked within our budget. Kevin and team worked hard to finish the remodel within a week, and everything came out beautifully! They are very detail oriented and made sure that we are happy with the way everything came out. We highly recommend Kevin and his team, and look forward to working with them again!

Kevin and William stayed late to finish the project in one day instead of the quoted two days. Friendly, professional service and excellent communication!

Kevin did a fantastic job replacing our basement door. He was very responsive to our request for an estimate--even coming to our place over the 4th of July weekend to look at the door. He spent time talking with us about what he planned to do and which materials he would use. He encouraged us to use better quality materials for the door, instead of something that would be less permanent and less secure over time. His quote was competitively priced, he showed up on time for the install, and he finished the work promptly and thoroughly. The door looks great, and it is so much more secure than what we previously had. He pays attention to detail and is interested in the overall quality and aesthetics of his work. We will be hiring him again soon!

Kevin and his brother, William, are amazing! Kevin is extremely responsive. Once I reached out to him, he was able to come by our house right away to check out what needed to be done, and provided a quote within a few days. Our side porch was pretty much old and rotting, and they demo'd the entire porch and built us a completely new one, and it looks absolutely beautiful. They finished it in one week as promised and hauled away trash to make sure everything was neat and clean. Their workmanship is impeccable. Next they had to demo an entire bedroom (remove ceiling, remove carpet and install new floor, remove built-in furniture, plaster and paint the walls, install new windows, install new light, fix closet). They completely transformed the bedroom! Kevin says that they put the level of work and effort into every home as if it's their own, and I truly believe it. They did an amazing job, and we are looking at hiring them again to upgrade our kitchen. I would highly recommend Catarino Construction!

They responded right away, asking for my address, and promised to get back to let me know their availability. As of now , July 12, still did not hear back from them after that. If you are not interested or available for a project - it would be a general courtesy and a sign of professionalism to at least communicate that back to your potential client. Not what happened with the Catarino Construction.
