Full remodel of a small half-bathroom that had its complications so was not a small project. Jeff was one of the few contractors that saw the job for more than it was and had good ideas on an approach to the work. Complete demo down to the studs, all new plumbing (including in-wall toilet, and sewer main), new electrical, glass tile, led lighting and other bits and pieces required to bring the space up to code. Jeff was on top of everything right from the start, was always available by phone/text, and was very responsive to questions or concerns. His crew was excellent as well - very capable, friendly but professional, always accessible, and easy to work with, even outside of the primary job (we ended up having some other work done on the house at the same time). The finished bathroom exceeded our expectations, and while cost was a little on the higher side, I feel you really get what you pay for. I would absolutely use Jeff again.

We have done many projects over the years with different contractors, having owned 8 other homes. Jeff has been the easiest, most reliable and responsive contractor we have ever worked with. From the time I called Jeff to ask him for a quote, I was never disappointed. Jeff is the only person to call me back, within the hour, and not only gave me an estimate but kept in contact with me every step of the way. Any questions I had quickly received a response. Every person from plumbers to electricians to the workers who demolished and installed the bathroom walls and tiles were respectful and always willing to answer questions and explain everything that was being done. All of the sales people that I dealt with were professional and friendly and I never felt like any of them were trying to sell me something more than what I wanted. I will use Jeff again in an instant when I redo my 2nd bathroom. It was nothing but a pleasure to have him and his team do the work. I highly recommend him!

Well worth the money. Jeff and his crew were responsive and professional every step of the way. I have a small (6' x 6') bathroom. I wanted to rip out the old bathtub and outdated tile and put in a modern walk-in shower. Jeff advised on the layout, I picked out the materials, and a few weeks later it was demo day. The whole process took about 3 months, but part of the delay had to do with the city of Boston's permitting process. I'll be hiring Jeff again the next time I do a renovation project.

I am truly delighted with the work performed, in all aspects, and can recommend Jeff and his outstanding crew without hesitation and with the highest enthusiasm! The work was finished on time and on budget. The outcome in each remodel was a beautifully finished room. The craftsmanship was superb with each type of work - tiling, plumbing, electric, stone and glass installation, painting - it is clear that attention was paid to detail at every step. In particular, the tile work by Jonny was really exceptional. I had not used Jeff's company before, but chose him over the other two contractors who provided estimates because his approach to the estimate clearly indicated extensive experience with such jobs. He was quite straightforward in stating what would be needed, what would be difficult but possible to do, and also what would not be worth doing. His estimate for cost and time to complete the work was similar to the other contractors, and his manner was very professional. He provided the names of the vendors he recommends up front, so that I could check them, and he was very responsive to my questions. Throughout the work period, Jeff was always available, always answering my phone call or text within the same day when I had a question or suggestion. This kind of responsiveness is so greatly appreciated, and I am sure is pretty rare. I did use the vendors Jeff suggested for the vanities, tile, marble, quartz, glass and plumbing fixtures; and was very happy with the selection, price range and services provided. Jeff picked up the products as needed during the renovation, and scheduled the installations as needed, so I only had to make the selections and he coordinated everything else. Jeff's team needs special, special mention - they did an amazing job with both the demolition and the reconstruction! They always arrived on time, got right down to work, and kept the affected areas of my home as clean as humanly possible during the whole process; these areas were cleaned after each day's work, and there was really minimal disruption overall. The team members were clearly serious and professional about their work. They listened carefully to my input and followed my wishes; and when I asked, they, as well as Jeff, offered great advice - for example, on a tile layout pattern. They took pride in their work and wanted to get it right every time, and they did get it right! Each worker was very friendly, collegial, respectful, and efficient. Jeff's scheduling was also surprisingly efficient. It can't be easy to have the plumber or electrician available on just the day they're needed, when the pace of work can't be precisely predicted, since unexpected issues can be expected to come up in any job like this. I was greatly impressed with the efficiency of the team as a whole. They seem to have been working together for a long time and were incredibly well integrated. So, there were few gaps in time, and the work was finished within the timeline estimated in the beginning. Some minor issues did arise, of course, but they were dealt with right away, and Jeff had the flexibility to rearrange things and still stay on target. Overall, this is a terrific, highly experienced, responsive contractor who has built an excellent team of professional craftsmen, is fairly priced, and provides great value.

Amazing craftsmanship! We hired Jeff and his team to completely gut and remodel our kitchen. High attention to detail and safety codes. Jeff maintained excellent communication throughout the process, was clear about the timetable, and stayed on budget. His team kept the work area clean and safe for our family. We have no hesitation to recommend Jeff!

We love our new bathroom. Hiring contractors is an uncomfortable and stressful process; however, working with Jeff and his team went well. Jeff and Johnny were professional and responsive. Their clear and timely communication was important to us. They also cleaned up well after themselves each day that they were on the project. The project took a bit longer than we expected through no fault of Jeff's but it was worth the wait.

This was the third time my family has hired Jeff Veglia for a home remodeling job. He had previously redone the kitchen at my house and a kitchen and bathroom at a family member's house. As with the prior two jobs, Jeff was always easy to reach and his team did good work and was very respectful of the house and our time. There was an unexpected structural issue that surfaced after the job started and the walls were opened up, and Jeff lined up the right professionals to assess the problem and rectify it. The price was fair and the work product and communication was exceptional. I have now used Jeff for three jobs and also referred him to a friend who hired him to renovate two bathrooms earlier this year. A+ all around - I will continue to call Jeff Veglia for my home remodeling needs and refer him to friends and family looking for a quality contractor.

The project was done very professionally. Jeff was very upfront about timelines, costs and what to expect and there were no surprises. His team does a fantastic job. They are all very nice, worked with us to accommodate our needs and always left the work area very clean and organized. They also make great recommendations on products to use and ways to make the end result stunning. I am very pleased with the outcome of the project and would definitely recommend Jeff's team for any tile related project.

Jeff was super responsive from the start, he returned my initial call within a couple of days and he was at the house taking a look at the work that needed to be done the day we closed on it! The quote he gave us was in line with the work that needed to be done and the only thing was that he could not start the work right away. but in the end it all worked out well. Jeff started the work right when he said he would and brought a great team with him! the demo was fast and has expected there were issues behind the walls and under the floors. We worked with Jeff to determine the layout. We used the Cabinet Maker that he suggested and also tile and plumbing suppliers he suggested. We left our wish lists with the suppliers and Jeff picked up all the materials when needed, paid for them (got a professional discount!) and we did not have to think about a thing. All the issues encountered were addressed (reinforcing floors was a big issue) and new plumbing lines laid down. The electrical system had to be almost completely redone along with new windows (bathrooms and kitchen) and a new back door! it took about 5 months to finish everything. We still call Jeff every time we want to address new things (gutters, filling up an old pool, for instance) and rely on his network to find new providers. The team that worked with Jeff is fantastic, polite and considerate.

Our 1920’s home is 3,100 square feet and required significant renovations to meet our modern lifestyle. My wife and I are in the design business [*** Link removed ***] so we’re very particular about the design and quality of the work to be preformed in our home. I have also renovated several homes, I’m pretty handy myself and have a fair amount of contracting knowledge. So I know what what to expect, how the work should be performed and the costs associated with it. We interviewed six highly rated contractors in a highly vetted and competitive bid process. Jeff set himself apart with his reviews on a number of highly reputable sites (including this one), home owner references (of which there are many) and team (plumbers, electricians, tilers, painters, finishing carpenters, plasterers, masons, suppliers, etc.). His team of subs all have been working together for over 20 years and take tremendous pride in their work. They’ll show you pictures of their work like the projects are their children. Best of all they all have worked together on so many projects that they complete each other’s sentences. So nothing gets lost in translation between the customer, contractor and sub. Jeff also has his own crew who are incredibly dedicated, skilled, hardworking (i.e. removed a two story brick chimney in 3 days) and polished. One notable member of his team is Elvis (and yes he's a rock star too). He is the go to person for any challenges faced during a project. He's highly knowledgable and skilled. And his easy going, "we can do that" attitude with a smile is always welcomed. Having spent months with him, my kids consider him their long lost uncle. The renovation included a complete gut of the kitchen, 2.5 baths and four bedrooms. We have completely updated the electrical, plumbing, windows, HVAC, furnace and hot water system. Added French Doors and skylights. We removed an obsolete two story brick furnace chimney which recaptured significant square footage. We have reconfigured and optimized most of the rooms and removed several load bearing walls to create an open floor plan. We refaced our fireplace in honed granite and replaced the fire brick. We're in the midst of finishing half our basement which will include a wood burning fireplace adding 610 square feet of living space. We also plan on renovating the attic into a living space with heating/cooling, new windows and skylights as part of phase two. Thus far there is no challenge we have thrown at Jeff that he hasn’t been able to address. He’s a consummate professional, honest, reasonable and the quality of work is outstanding. Further, the communication is excellent. He is always available (Saturday and Sunday if need be) and provides nearly daily updates with the progress of our project. I know I was thankful for the feedback I received from homeowners when making my contractor decision. I’m happy to do the same for someone else.

Incredible!! Jeff and his guys are so reliable and kind. They became like family. They were there when they said they would be, which was pretty much everyday! They worked diligently and professionally. I never thought my bathrooms could end up being so beautiful. We are so thrilled with Jeff and his work ethic, his dedication to his craft and after talking with several contractors, we would look no further than Jeff Veglia ever again. He is the only one to do the work. In addition, the contractors he hires out for plumbing, electrical, hvac, were unbelievable! Always timely, considerate and always helpful. *Keep in mind, you don't want to find the cheapest guy in town..you want to find the best. You really won't regret calling Jeff. He is simply the BEST!

We had obtained quotes from a number of contractors, some we'd worked with in the past as well as some (like Jeff) that we were contacting for the first time. Overall, there was not that much to choose between them on price (Jeff was not the cheapest nor the most expensive) but what we did get from Jeff was some very nice advice on layout which allowed us to have a much more open and appealing bathroom than we would have otherwise had. His crew were phenomenal (polite, neat and pleasant) and though the work was being done where we slept, we did not feel like we were in a construction zone. The overall duration was about what Jeff had predicted and the cost ended up being right on his estimate. The only additional costs were driven by our own design choices and were not exhorbitant. Overall, the final product was amazing. All the craftsmen Jeff recommended (carpenter, stone mason) produced amazing work and we're extremely polite (though the carpenter could have been a bit more responsive but the work was excellent and ultimately on time). Overall, we couldn't be happier with our bathroom and would definitely recommend Jeff to anyone undertaking this kind of project.

If I could give Jeff and his team 10 stars I would! I had contacted several contractors about bathroom remodeling and Jeff was the most responsive and informative, always getting back to me with answers to my questions in the time-frame he said he would. As soon as I met him I knew he was the guy I wanted to do the work; he immediately made me feel like I could trust him and that I’d be in good hands throughout the project even if some unexpected issues came up…which in a 100+ year old house they did…and my first impression of him was correct. Jeff is experienced, knows his stuff, and has high expectations and standards for himself, the guys who work for him, and the sub-contractors he uses. By the end of the project it felt like he and his crew were family. Now that the project is complete, I do not miss the overall disruption any major remodeling entails, but I do miss seeing him and his crew every day! The initial project scope was to completely re-do 3 bathrooms. We recently purchased a 100+ year old home large enough for my elderly mother to come live with us, and knew we’d need to remodel the first-floor half-bath to add a shower for mom to use. But shortly after purchasing the house we discovered there were major plumbing issues [i.e. leaking pipes in the walls] making the 2 upstairs bathrooms un-useable as they were. I needed to change my plan from eventually re-doing these bathrooms to getting the plumbing problems fixed sooner rather than later. After talking to several plumbers about just fixing the leak, all of whom said the walls and 1st floor ceiling would need to be opened up, I ended up deciding to re-do all 3 bathrooms at the same time, and chose Jeff to do the project. And I feel so very fortunate to have found him! In fact, I was so impressed with the work he and his crew did with the 3-bath project that as that was coming to a close, I asked Jeff to add me to his schedule to come back when he had schedule availability to re-do the tiny basement bathroom we were using during the major remodel, and re-do the basement family room floor (remove tired old wall to wall carpet and replace with tile), re-do the fireplace surround with granite, and paint. Fortunately for me, Jeff was able to fit this new project into his schedule just as the 3 bath project was wrapping up. So, I now have 4 beautiful new bathrooms that are all use-able plus a nicely updated basement family room! I’d give Jeff an A+ overall. He is professional, responsive and always got back to me in the time-frame he said he would. He and his crew provide quality renovations and have the experience and knowledge to anticipate and resolve issues before they become problems. He was not the least expensive contractor I got a price quote from but he wasn’t the most expensive one either; based on my experience dealing with other contractors over the years I’d say Jeff’s pricing is reasonable and is a very good value for what you get in return -- a quality job and peace of mind that you are in good hands.

It was done very well and Jeff's team was helpful, thoughtful and competent. They were careful in moving around the house, and worked very efficiently and quickly. They were very polite and charming to work with. They left the place completely clean. I have no knowledge about the costs of this kind of work, and although I found it expensive, I was very pleased with the results.

Excellent oversight and and overall quality of work. Included gutting the current bathroom to studs and redoing everything. Tiling was perfect.

We found Jeff and his team friendly and professional throughout, flexible about making the work fit in the budget, and effective at communicating how to optimize. The selection of items like tiles and kitchen counter was not trivial over email and phone, but Jeff worked with us to make sure the components were what we wanted and the design was simple but classy as we requested. Once the work started it was completed efficiently, on budget, and with good attention to detail. If I have any issue, it was that it took several months for the work to start. However, Jeff did warn up front that it would take a while before they could get to our unit, and we wanted to get the kitchen renovation done ASAP, once the work was begun, so the delay was anticipated. If we do any work in the future, Jeff will be my first call.

Very well. The remodel was complicated and involved our kitchen pipes as well as a total gut job on an old outdated upstairs full bath. Overall very good job and we would hire Jeff again.

The demo went quickly (and cleanly). Each of Jeff's subs did a great job with their piece of the process (plumbing, tile, electrical, woodwork, plaster, paint). We had a communication mix-up that led to an issue, but it was resolved quickly and smoothly. Our final inspection sign-offs were quick and trouble free. We're enjoying the final result (and wish we'd done it sooner). We would definitely recommend Jeff to others.

From the beginning it was evident that Jeff was a knowledgeable and experienced contractor. I obtained several estimates. Jeff was the only one who pointed out that an additional window that I wanted on the side would need a variance from the city. When I checked with the city, this was indeed the case and would also have resulted in a delay of several months while waiting for approval. Once details of the project were worked out and the contract signed, work began almost immediately. Johnny was in charge of the demo. That progressed smoothly. Walls and ceiling were then fully insulated. The walls were rebuilt. A new tub was installed. The plumbing for the tub was rerouted and pipes were placed on an inside wall. Previously, the pipes were on an outside wall and there had been an issue with the pipes freezing. Johnny tiled around the tub. It came out beautifully. In the small space between the tub and the outside wall, he installed several shelves for storage of towels, etc. A new vanity was installed across from the tub. As the bathroom is small, the measurements and size of fixtures and vanity had to be precise. A custom marble counter top was crafted to fit over the vanity and extend from one wall to the other, creating a small shelf over the adjacent toilet. On the other side of the vanity, an extra piece of marble was added below making a small shelf under the counter between the vanity and the wall. All the workmen from the electrician to plasterer, plumber, painter and finish carpenter were on time, did their job, cleaned up and as far as I can tell were the cream of the crop. Danny, who was the finish carpenter was really skillful and a good problem solver. I have had a lot of work done in my house through the years. The bathroom is beautiful. Jeff always got back to me quickly with emails, calls or texts. Any delays in the project were due to waiting for inspections. The men always showed up when they said they would. This is the best experience I have ever had with a contractor.

Jeff is the most responsive contractor I’ve ever worked with; he always gets back to you in a timely way. Also extremely reliable, if he said someone was going to show up on a given day, they showed up, every time. Quality of the work was excellent for all Jeff’s guys and subs. Tile looks great. Things were always left nicely cleaned up. As usual with an older house there were some surprises, but Jeff anticipated many of them so nothing was totally unexpected so it was easier to deal with any issues that arose. I’d definitely hire him again.

Fantastic! Very efficient. The people that work for him and those that he contracts out to (for things like marble for the vanity top) are all very proffesional and quick to get the job done. And the communication was amazing! He always kept me informed and when some things came up that we changed our minds on he didn't miss a beat.. Just told us what he (and we) needed to do to get it done. I trust him and his people. Now for all the nightmare stories I've heard about contractors, how many people can say that?
