Description of Work: Rich installed a new water heater, replaced an old valve on our gas boiler, put in a new water cut off valve and replaced an old tap in the basement sink with a new tap. He did a great job, has lots of good advice about heating and plumbing and is very responsive.

Description of Work: I called Rick Mathews for a quote for installing a gas burner-as I was considering switching from oil to natural gas. In short, he told me he could do the job but the estimate would be so high that he would advise staying with oil. It was clear that Mathews is a plumber with a great amount of honesty and integrity--to turn away work, knowing it wasn't in the customer's best interest. I would have no hesitation to hire Mathews in the future.

Description of Work: Very responsive. Helped me over the phone in the middle of the snow storm while he was waiting at an airport. I was concerned about the safety of my steam hearing system. He spent a lot of time on the phone, told me what to check and how, had nothing to gain, was both kind and useful. I would highly recommend this company based on my encounter.

Description of Work: I replaced an old oil heating boiler that was heating a 2 family house. with 2 separate gas heat boilers . I got a few estimates and Rich's price was competitive. He was professional and made communication easy. I would strongly recommend him. He did exactly what he said he would do, and showed up on time.
