PRO PAINTING CO

The initial quote was 2,400, but I added some work and the cost went up to 3,200. The quality of the painter's work was very good, but these were the problems: 1. Despite my protests, the painter came and painted when it was raining, saying that it didn't matter because the porch was covered. Seeing white paint splattering onto the stained deck, I finally insisted that he stop. He ended up having to come back and repaint my back porch deck because, of course, paint had splattered due to the rain. 2. There are parts do the trim that he did not do, claiming that those were not part of our agreement. My understanding was that he was going to paint the whole trim on my house -- not split it up into parts, or be "a-la-carte." When I questioned him, he started yelling at me in front of my house, saying that I kept adding things, and that part of the trim wasn't covered. All of the additional work I wanted was added to the bill. The part of the trim he left unpainted was on the outside edges of the front porch roof -- in plain view. I will have to hire another painter, since he refused to do it. 3. It was unclear when he was going to finish the job because he was doing other jobs. He came early on a Sunday morning and finished the job. A few days later, I received a phone call from him accusing me of not answering his calls. That was the first call that I had received. He finished the job on Sunday, 16, and I paid him in full on Friday, June 21.

I was pleased with this company and will use them again in the future.
