Description of Work: We contract Skip to plow and shoveling our home while we were a away for the winter. Given the mild December, I didn't think we would use the service much. Boy, was I wrong. Skip and his crew manage to keep our driveway, walk and front and back stairs clear all winter. They did a great job. Skip is honest and responsible and although over whelmed with 8 feet of snow last winter he got the job done.

Description of Work: I contracted with Skip O'Neil of O'Neil's Handyman Services for snow removal this winter. As this winter we received a record amount of snow, with frequent storms, I was enormously pleased when my snow was removed in a timely and responsible fashion. I can't say enough good things about the professionalism and quality of the work!

Description of Work: Installed kitchen island. Skip and crew arrived on time and did a good job. The only reason that I gave them a less than perfect score is that they charged me significantly more than quoted. I was given a flat rate quote and then once the job was complete, he wanted $ for "extra time" it took to complete the job and travel time.

Description of Work: Skip was punctual and did the job very well. He also fixed some other minor things that wasn't even part of the job. He is very skilled and runs a good business. He will completing a couple more projects for me in the spring.

Description of Work: I needed a few things fixed. This was my 1st time using a handyman service. Skip was nice enough but I just felt like I didn't get my money worth. He had called me to tell me to make a list of what needed to be done and in what order. I gave him an idea of what I was looking at and he mentioned that he would do them in my priority and stay extra if I wanted. What was completed in my 4 hrs was - storm door taken off and new one put on, broken window on basement and a cracked wood stair. He seemed to take his time putting the outside door on. He was on his phone a lot and seemed to make sure that the door took a longer than necessary time. He also doesn't take the scrap with him when he leaves (extra charge) keep that in mind. He went to dunks on his way to get the glass for the basement window. Again not a huge deal and I am not begrudging someone their joe but when your paying for 4 hrs this all added up. Skip seemed to do all the work himself. The 2nd person just kinda held his tools and ran to the truck occasionally. The stair he just put some shims under and some glue. Probably my own fault for not knowing how hard/easy it would have been to replace the stair. After that it he was done 15 minutes early. Again I felt like it it was being timed to stretch everything out because my list wasn't long enough. Overall I wasn't very pleased. Like I said earlier, Skip was nice enough but I wasn't familiar with using a handyman. Maybe they are all like this? Not sure. My best advice is to try and have a ballpark of how long to fix something and make a longer list and prioritize. This will ensure you can cut the list off at the end of your time if your unsatisfied.

Description of Work: They cleaned my gutters. Looks fine in the front. I'm assuming all is ok in back as well.

Description of Work: I had several things that needed to be done such as faucets and shower heads replaced, a window fixed and tile grout fixed.

Description of Work: Installed 6 interior doors and re-drywalled around my air conditioner.

Description of Work: Skip did a remarkable job on installing new lattice work for under the deck. It is so strong that a hurricane will not blow it down! Plus, we wanted a gate installed on it and he devised exactly what we wanted. He also installed a very creative lattice work enclosure under the carport. And, he took all the debris away. His two assistants were very helpful and polite. I have already hired him to do some other work.

Description of Work: I hired them to do miscellaneous tasks around the house.

Description of Work: I used O'Neils Handyman Services to install a couple of awnings and do my pavement.

Description of Work: Installed 60 3" soffit vents on the front and back of the house. Installed vents at the bottom of each rafter bay in the attic.

Description of Work: He, and an assistant, performed a number of tasks that have been driving me crazy. He put a doggie door into out wall, he repaired work that a previous handyman had done poorly of four doors, he repaired a leaky faucet (the valve had to be replaced). I had a few other tasks to do, but failed to let him know in advance so he could bring the proper equipment. I've already asked for estimates on a those, plus a few other projects that I want done. I would gladly hire him again. He does excellent work for a more than fair price.

Description of Work: While his helper assembled a decorative screen thing that arrived in many pieces, Skip moved around some fixtures that had been installed in the wrong place; he switched out some storm windows for screens; he climbed tall ladders and changed hard to reach lightbulbs; he installed a small round mirror that had come with the correct hanging hardware (see full story below); he put up an extra towel hook; and I know I'm forgetting a couple of things.

Description of Work: We contacted Skip about going to a storage shed in the next town to pick up 6 window air conditioners and to install them in our home. We were amazed at the speed with which he responded to our call and found him to be straightforward and friendly. He was very good about staying in touch and arranged to come to our home quickly. He was extremely prompt, worked quickly, picked up after each part of the job, and we were very comfortable with him in our home. We are starting to make a list of jobs that need to be done and will absolutely call him again - and soon! He and his assistant Joe do all kinds of work and make the entire experience so pleasant. We certainly would recommend using his services! This was our first introduction to Angie's List and we are impressed.
