Description of Work: Communication was horrible. After signing up for the deal, and asking about other additional work through email, the person who came didn't have the right material to do the job I signed up for. He also didn't get any of the notices about the work I wanted done, so I had to walk him through everything. The work he did - install a ceiling light, fix two switches, and two electrical outlets was fine and he was very professional, but I paid for all his time, plus travel time. Replacing some outlets was going to be more involved, so I decided to just let him do the simple ones. He said the office would send an estimate for the extra work. Turns out I paid for his time to look, but I have yet to get an estimate despite 3 calls to the company. I was asked to pay that day before the person left, and if I hadn't had a scanner, I wouldn't have had a copy of the bill. I also feel like I was overcharged. When I talked about the outlets on the phone with the company, the price to replace outlets was $30 each or time. I chose time. My bill has time, plus $30 per outlet for parts. In one of my calls to the office, the person seemed to agree that it didn't seem right, and they could make an adjustment. I have yet to hear. I gave up 2 weeks ago after hearing "I was just looking at this paperwork and I'll get right back to you" three times. It seems that $555 is a high price for replacing a ceiling light, fixing a couple switches, and replacing two outlets. I would say that the rest was paying for an estimate, but I haven't even gotten that or a copy of the paid bill in the mail. Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend using them.

Description of Work: Repair and estimate for further work was fine. Had issues where we thought repairman had damaged something on the house. Company sent person back to look. He had picture from before work that it was already damaged and we did not see it. Over a month later we received a bill for that followup visit. As we were negotiating for further work I replied to that bill that I was not going to pay it. Did they want more work with us or to be paid for a surprise bill for a charge we were not warned was going to happen. I never heard from them again. I am using different electricians.

Description of Work: I gave them four specific items to get done. 1) Replace exterior driveway light - done. 2) Replace faulty florescent ballast - replaced and went bad within two days. 3) Replace outdoor flood light housing - done. Replace pool light bulb in unit I could not open - he couldn't open it either. Sent me full bill with out acknowledging necessary adjustments. Very quick to set straight though. Easy to work with.

Description of Work: They installed four new light fixtures,a ceiling fan,replaced an outlet and installed a new outdoor outlet.The job was done on time and to my satisfaction. The guys were very professional and polite.Would hire them again in the future.

Description of Work: They obtained the parts needed to fix my ceiling fan and fixed it very efficiently and capably. I had already paid $111.00 for 2 hours of labor and was charged only an additional $20.00 for parts needed. Such a deal!

Description of Work: Replaced an exterior electrical outlet. I requested that someone come out to do the job as early as possible and my response was I can be there at 7 a.m. is that early enough? I was DELIGHTED that (John) showed up so early! He had finished the job by 7:30 am! I would call him back in a heartbeat! In fact, I asked him for a quote for a future job. One negative was that I noticed the price for the same job was a lower price direct through the vendors e-mail versus through Angie's List-That was disappointing.

Description of Work: I purchased the "Last Chance for an Electrical Panel Replacement and Surge Protection" deal in January, and scheduled for the work to be done once the weather got warm (as my bedridden mother was living with me). We ended up scheduling it for May. I scheduled to have my g/f meet the electrician at the house. He showed up before her, and as it would take her 30mins to get there, he recommended i contact the office and reschedule. Over the rest of the spring and most of the summer, via emails to the service manager, I tried to reschedule a visit, but no availability was offered to me. I tried one last time this month, and after no reply to a phone call or email to the service manager, i decided to just ask for a refund and look somewhere else.

Description of Work: After purchasing the voucher I contacted them and scheduled the appointment. Due to my work schedule I had to cancel that appointment but contacted them 3 days prior. I was told they would call me back to re schedule. After 2 weeks I had not heard so I called them and was told John would call me back. The next day I still had not heard so I called again and was told John would call me when he got back from lunch but I received no call. I sent them a message via angies list that night and got a response apologizing that John would call me the next morning which he finally did. The day of the appointment I got a call that they had an emergency and I said ok but I wanted to have the job done today since I took the day off and he said he would call me back but couldn't give me a time. I called back at 2:30 and was told he would call me back. It's the next day and no one has called me to reschedule. I have no interest in begging someone to do a job for me they obviously have customers more important then me. Thanks.

Description of Work: I called three times, never got a call back. I asked a neighbor who they used. I called that person, they called me back and I set up a date & time with them.

Description of Work: John from JP McCurdy was awesome, The electricians came over and installed a NEW Panel Box with Circuit Breakers, Ran a new line to seperate tha common lights from my meter. Job was great worked around my schedule and preformed a clean and neat job Would use them again!!!!
