It started out good as I was contacted quickly by the company. However when I was transferred to the project manager who was supposed to come out to my house and give me an estimate, it went bad very quickly. I spoke with the project manager at 830am on Monday and he set up a time the next day at 800am to come to my house. I rearranged my work schedule to do this. At 830am the day of the estimate (he was a half hour late at this time) I decided to call their office and check on this person to see if he was coming. I spoke with him on the phone which was a bad sign as it meant he was still at the office with zero recollection of our appt. at this point I lost all interest in the company and was no longer wanting an estimate. I realize that mistakes happen but if im going to use a company to do several thousands of dollars of work, i at least want to get a good feeling of professionalism and punctuality. After being stood up on the estimate I decided to go with another electrician and take my business elsewhere.

My experience with JP Curley Electrical was a good one. I purchased a $125 Big Deal Coupon for the outside outlet. I was a little surprised to learn that I had to pay an extra $30 for a permit for the installation, but apparently that was in the wording of the deal and I nelected to take it into account. The electrical technician was knowledgable, polite and professional. Even though he was only a few minutes late because of traffic, he called me from his truck to let me know that he was on he way, which I very much appreciate. The Electrician also replaced my back door flood light and charged an extra $25 which I think was a very fair price. I paid the extra $55 with a check at the time of installation, and the only thing I would like to receive is a copy of a paid invoice for that amount, including the Permit number, when it is purchased. I was told that the paid invoice would be sent to me in an attachment to an email which I am confident I will receive. I would use the services of JP Curley Electrical again.

Work was performed promptly and professionally.

I live in a small condo association. Several other owner had complained that there was no lighting as one drove into driveway and were concerned especially with the approach of winter and shorter days. After much discussion we decided to have lighting installed both for owners who often take walks in the evening and for visitors. When we first contacted JP McCurdy, the response was immediate. Jack came out, spent over an hour offering various options until we opted for the most reasonable and efficient sounding solution. I also had several issues in my basement, wiring which didn't conform to code and dangling smoke alarms on different floors. Jack said that his crew would take care of everything, plus he suggested that we substitute our light sensitive bulbs around the condo with LED bulbs to save money in the long run. We couldn't have been more satisfied with the quality work, the speed at which it was performed and the very friendly attitude of the two electricians who came to carry out the work. They will actually be returning to so a few additional things for some of the other condo owners. Highly recommend JP McCurdy.

From my initial call to request a quote, I was pleased with how quickly I was able to get an estimate, get the service performed., and end up with a job well done. I would most definately recommend this company.

The serviceman was prompt and completed the first task in 10 minutes and was off to the store to buy the fluorescent fixture. He quickly installed the fixture.

Came when promised - right on time. Very nice service person. Did the job and explained to me what he was doing. I will definitely call this company again when I need electrical work done at my home.

I was under the understanding that they would call me within 3 days of buying the Deal, but they never did, so I got a refund for the Deal.

They were very prompt about responding to their Big Deal. It actually took me longer to find time in my schedule to get them in, which is really great. The electrician they sent was very professional and willing to answer lots of questions.

Smooth as usual. Not the first time I have used them for control4 systems.

I spoke to Mr McCurdy within a few seconds of calling. He went over all the work that needed doing and set up an appointment for the same day. The crew was right on time. They were professional, competent, and friendly. Couldn't be happier with their work.

Once the project was scheduled McCurdy arrived when promised. The service was completed in the timeline that was expected. Their responsiveness to my email questions about cost and price was bad. Their responsiveness in completing the work was good.

I was charged an additional $190 that the guy said he had to charge. He said he couldnt' do anything other than hide the wires from the LED TV, he couldn't do this for my VCR or DVD player. he said even that would cost an additonal couple hundreds of dollars. I felt like I was ripped off, they should have told me this before they even started that it would be such an extra cost for me.

We are very pleased with the repair to the basement lights. This was the third electrician we had look at it and the only one who was able to actually fix it. One electrician came and looked at the problem, took stuff apart, left and never came back and never sent a bill. Needless to say we were thrilled to finally get this repair made.

Arti who is the appraiser for this company was excellent ,he located a couple of problem areas that was performed by another company and corrected those problems.

The electrician did just a great job on this relatively small project that I had been putting off for 2 years. When Angie's List sent out the low-price offer I jumped at it. Electrician came 5 minutes early and finished the job in less than a half hour. Due to the possibility that the electic box might have to be replaced with one of the overhead lights I didn't want to touch this myself.

it ended up being simple: two switches were fixed, so $125 might be a little high for that. But they did a good job and i would hire them again. The only down side: they missed our first appointment, possibly due to a misunderstanding, and we had to reschedule the appointment. when they actually came, they were very helpful and professional. all in all a good experience, and i would hire these guys again.

I wish the people in the trades would just be honest and stop wasting the consumers time.

I thought that the price was very high, and they didn't come back to finish the work that they did.

The service experience went well. Initially, he came to give a free estimate of the cost for solving the issue. Once he saw the problem, he suggested to do it immediately as it will not take long to do it. The circuit is working well now.

Wall switch was not controlling the wall socket. Arty corrected the wiring so that it works!Used a Big Deal coupon and the service was provided promptly.

n on the Very, very satisfied. They not only completed the work I asked for, but a couple of other jobs also 'while they were there'. Original work was within estimate, and I was able to get an 'on the spot' quote from home base and agreement to complete any extra work. Their prices were more than fair, the techs professional. Only good things to say, no complaints whatsoever.
