Description of Work: Annual treatment program for pest. Program includes comprehensive initial evaluation and setting of traps for mice, spiders and termite stakes. Full treatment of interior of home and exterior walls. Only negative is that the company will not perform full yard treatment. They stated that their license precludes application of granular or spray pesticide in yards. This is disappointing as I wanted the yard treated for ants. It may be a Massachusetts thing.

Description of Work: Service was for an pest presence evaluation, detection and treatment. First treatment was not fully effective for external insects. We contacted A-1 and they performed a re-treatment at no cost. Second treatment was effective. Follow up on service is not the best however the professionalism of the company, their customer service personnel and service technicians is excellent. Appointments were kept and reports of service delivered via email within 24 hours. We are very pleased with the company and intend to continue to use them for pest control services at our property in Harwich Port.

Description of Work: "Pavement ant infestation" |Provider sprayed pesticide on house foundation and set bait. |Provider said effort could take a week to kill the ants. I have not seen the ants in the house since the pesticide application.

Description of Work: The A1 representative was professional and seemed to do a good job. When I called them back to address a new wasp's nest that had appeared under the eave, they were more than willing to return and take care of it.

Description of Work: After a renters complaint a through inspection of property and explanations of every detail of the inspection left me with no doubts about the safety of my home and future information should it be needed. Highly recommended.

Description of Work: On 8/11 Scott Weisberg quoted $1200+ on the phone for the same work that another reputable vendor on Angie's List quoted $635. When I pointed this out, Scott said he would come up with a competitive overall cost once he visited our warehouse and considered using alternative solutions. Scott made an appointment for 8/13 between 10AM and 1PM. His office called to re-confirm on 8/12 and I called back to re-confirm. Scott never showed up for his appointment. I called his cell phone at 1.20PM and left a voice-mail asking if he was still planning to show up. I waited until 1.55PM and called owner Gary Weisberg and told him what had happened and explained why I had lost confidence in their ability to perform this service. Gary listened, but could not tell me if Scott was still planning to show up in the next 30 minutes, when I had to leave. I have not heard anything from A-1 Exterminators since that day, nor received any explanation for their no-show. This is a $5,000+job, so I cannot say it was too small for them to bother with.

Description of Work: The exteminator came and searched for bedbugs. There was no sign of bedbugs. He looked carefully at linen, mattress, and my couch. The agent was friendly and vey informative

Description of Work: We re renovating and found rat droppings in basement. I was freaking of course so got on Angie's list and found A-1. I called and they had someone come out within a day to give a free estimate. Scott came out and was very knowlegable and confirmed we had a rat. I signed with them that day and within a few days they were out to get rid of the problem. This also included "mice maintenance". We will keep their montly service just to ensure no issues in the future.
