Did some repointing on my chimney. Happy with work done

I called hours before a hurricane because the top of my chimney blew off. They came right away, were very friendly and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend them.

Paul came to my home to clean chimney for the end of the season. He was on time and very knowledgeable. I eventually want to replace my woodburning fireplace insert with a pellet insert. Paul cleaned the chimney and was very neat and clean, no mess. I asked what he would charge for a pellet stove insert, which I had not yet purchased. He quoted me between $400-$500.00. Another contractor from Home Advisor quoted me a breathtaking $2,500! The latter informed me that my stainless steel liner, which was installed by them 2 1/2 years ago, needed to be replaced with a new 3-foot liner for pellet stove. In addition, they insisted on a 30% deposit. Fortunately, after regaining my senses, I stopped the job and called Paul. He confirmed installation of a new stainless steel liner was not required and the installation of the pellet insert can be completed with applicable adapters. Moreover, he showed me the horrendous job the other contractor did connecting the liner to my woodburner, as in, it was not even connected properly plus they beat the daylights out of my firebox! I took photos of the mess! As soon as I purchase the pellet insert, I will call to do the job.

I have used Paul to clean my wood stove chimneys for years, he does great work, never overcharges me and has always been very honest. On more than one occasion I have had him out to the house and he has said we don't need a cleaning. That is honesty you don't see often these day. I have referred quite a few of my neighbors to him and have heard nothing but excellent feedback from them as well. I would highly recommend giving him a call if you need chimney work.

This place is a rip off. The person who came to my house tried to tell me I needed my chimney repaired. He said I needed a new chimney shute. I decided to get a second opinion and the second opinion said there was no damage nor a need to have my chimney repaired. Also, chimney by Paul tried to charge me 315$ for a chimney Cap. The second opinion told me the cap would be 125$. Additionally, chimney by Paul opened my chimney in the basement and didn't put it together properly. They also did not vacuum my chimney because the person said "they had another appointment to go to." I would not recommend this business and I would never hire them. They are shady.

Paul was responsive, and showed up to evaluate the job as communicated. We had a double chimney cap installed which looks great . However, we also had the exposed chimney bricks sealed with a liquid sealer, which looks like it spilled on the roof leaving a stain on the shingles. Not sure if this will come off over time. Over all, job was done as quoted, and the company performed the work as communicated.

Paul did work on my chimney last summer. He was prompt, professional, knowledgeable, honest and very reasonably priced. He inspected and installed a chimney liner for the flue that my oil burner uses. He was a pleasure to communicate with. I am going to use him in the future for regular chimney maintenance.

Price reasonable compared to others. Range 275/800/and 1400.00 dollars. 3 estimates to fix a chimney cap. You tell them you want a hamburger and coke operation and they offer a 7 course dinner. Research the job,know what you want and estimate what you will pay.

Paul was friendly. informative on what needed to be done quoted me a price for the work needed to be done he did the work at the price quoted. I would highly recommend Paul.

We hired Paul to inspect the health of our chimney. We expressed our concerns, and previous challenges with other contractors. Paul was responsive, showed up exactly on time ( to the minute ), was friendly, and honest. Paul informed us that our concerns were simply aesthetic, and their were no major problems with venting or underlying structural issues. Paul provided some recommendations in which we have successfully put to use already! We were very satisfied with his knowledge, honesty and overall value.

Paul was very informative on what needed to be done. He's price was better than another company that had quoted me a price for the repairs.

Paul installed a new chimney liner so we could go ahead with a water tank replacement. He was timely, efficient, knowledgeable, and less expensive than another company this site referred me. He also advised me that the fireplace in my living room was usable-something another contractor had said should not be used unless we shelled out thousands of dollars in repairs. All work was done on my mother's house and, I will be calling on Paul again in the coming months for a chimney inspection on my new house.
