He started very nice, courteous, punctual, respectful. His crew that had no insurance or paperwork tying them to him, started ripping off my roof. They ruined the lower portion when throwing many square of slate on it. Then he argued he wasn't fixing it. Finally replaced with material I had to purchase. Then they were supposed to fix the deck and stairs but there was some rot on rear crawl space they removed that without permission from me or a permit. Then started working on deck. It was coming out decent and I noticed that another employee had removed all the windows in my house leaving only storm windows. They were not suppose to start windows yet and new windows wouldn't be done being made for another 2 weeks. At this point I fired him. There was 4 piles of debris and rubbish they left. No windows because they smashed mine in the dumpster . 2 or 3 dumpsters that need to be paid for and. To top it off they stole 75 dollars worth of tools and my building permits. Then I have to pay him 3000 more so he won't put a lien on my house that he has destroyed.

Chad cut out the entire sill corner and replaced it with new wood, double 2 x 6's. He also packed the foundation-sill junction with concrete (or possibly mortar). Total job took a day and a half, which was reasonable. The price was also reasonable, in my opinion. Overall the job went well. The quality of materials and of work performed were both very good. The only problem was that when he cut out the old rotten wood he cut off the wiring to an outlet, which I had to repair. I think he took a look to make sure nothing was in the way, but he should have checked more closely. Had it not been for that boo-boo, I'd have given him an "A" in "Overall Experience." In his defense, the wire was not totally obvious, but it was definitely in view if one looked closely. At least it wasn't a gas line.

Chet Fourtier did a fantastic job of replacing the windows broken by the firemen during putting out the fire in my home 08/28/12. He also repaired the plater wall the fireman cut, and replaced the cabinets in my kitchen that burned, and gave me a new countertop.

Our old farmhouse had a nice country kitchen we wanted to rearrange for greater utility, rather than completely remodel from scratch. Chet offered to do the work in the winter, which made it a difficult job for him, but he and his helper, Jake did yeoman's work, managing to work around the tough weather and deep snow - one of our toughest winters in years. They worked through our long list of tasks showing ingenuity and flexibility. A number of additional, unanticipated tasks got added on, time and materials, as they appeared or my wife realized she wanted them added. It was a bit frustrating at times as the work ended up stretching over nearly three months when we had thought it would be done in about half that time. The result, however, is a beautiful new kitchen with much more light and much better ergonomics. We are very satisfied with Chet's workmanship and his price was a good deal less than several other contractors who provided us with estimates. We plan to hire him again for a roofing job soon.

He was able to squeeze my estimate in after work on a Friday, and quoted me then and there. He was able to squeeze the job in during the following week and was in and out in less than a day.

They returned my calls, and always got here on time. They worked quickly and they were very professional. They did what they said they were going to do in the time they said they would. Everything was within budget and schedule. They are very affordable, and I would recommend them to others.
