I hired Bill in 2/2018 to repair the concrete between the stones at the stairway outside my home when the weather was warmer. On 04/11/18, when the men, (ability in question) , said that the work was done I paid them $1450.00. In late May I noticed the old and the new mortar were both cracking and I called Bill. He came by on 06/22/18 and he said that he would send a master mason out in July and never did. On 07/22/18 I called and on 07/27/18 I called again and Mr. Sweeney said that I would have to wait because he had "tornado repairs" he had to do. In early August I called again and was told that the master mason will be out when there are 2 consecutive days of no rain, and since then I've not heard back from Bill. I've placed several calls throughout this debacle and received ....No Responses. Update: since 9/17/18 I have been assisted by 4 consumer assistance agencies. Now, on 11/28/18, I tallied a total of 31 various communications with those agencies and 10 calls to Mr. Home, several unanswered. Mr. Home sent me 8 men over time, to do the work. Unfortunately, 6 of them were sent to do handrails. ( In April, I had requested a quote to install handrails, but I did not accept the quote and that was immediately off the table). Finally, on 11/7/18 an actual mason was sent to my home and he worked on my stairs for 1hour and 58 minutes. He said he was coming from another job. On 11/8/18, the mason worked for 2 hours and 38 minutes. Nineteen days later,on 11/27/18, the mason stopped by to say that with bad weather and seasonal temperature changes, the job is off indefinitely, most likely until next Spring, one year from the job onset. I fully understand the rain delays along the way, but there were MANY 2 day opportunities since July to get the job done. I will keep caution tape at the base of my stairs until hopefully completed next year sometime.

Bill came by right away to give us an estimate. And although he let his dog run around the entire neighborhood, the dog was fairly well-behaved. The workers came when they said they would. They were fighting against nature and because of that (not because of the workers) the project took much longer than expected. They did a very good job on our egress door and steps. We asked the workers to leave about 1/3 of the pile of dirt they dug up (all clay!). They ended up leaving the entire pile (by the end it was different workers, so they probably didn't know). Pile is still there, though we're working on distributing it around the property. Anyway, they did a very good job and were courteous. We would hire them again for something similar.

Workmen were professional, kept me informed on the progress and asked for my input at the end of every day. I would recommend Mr. Home above the other companies for this service based on the QUALITY AND VALUE.

I would have liked to have more than 1 choice of contractors that you provided.

Extremely professional and courteous. Did an excellent job and left everything nice and neat. Very prompt. Called before coming to let me know when they would be there. Would definitely hire them again.

When the owner came back out for the final payment, I pointed out some things that needed finished like cleaning up my siding and pushing all the rocks back towards my foundation. He said he would send his people back out to handle it but that never happened. I waited a week and pushed the rocks back myself. That's not good customer service. I learned my lesson not to pay in full until the job is complete. The guys he hired were wonderful and super friendly, but Bill, I wish you would have sent them out to finish. I would have been satisfied and given you a better review.

The workers were very accomodating to avoid water draining into a neighbors yard from their installation of a water drain pipe. His basement is dry and my brother can rest at night now instead of getting up to sweep water back into the sump pump drains that were clogged among other things. We highly reccommend!

Mr. Home did a great job fixing a leak in our foundation under the bullkhead. We got an estimate within 48 hours of our initial call and they came to fix it on the first day the weather cooperated. The gentlemen were friendly and made sure I understood everything they did. The quality was excellent. I really hope we never have a leaky foundation again but I’d call Mr. home in a heartbeat for anything else! Highly recommend.

I had a 3 foot crack in my basement foundation, leading out from the window. The crack was not very wide, maybe 1/8-1/4 inch. They did a polymer injection. The guys worked quickly and quietly, the job was completed 100% to my satisfaction. Nice need job.

Installed a grab bar on tile shower. Fine job very secure. arrived on time,

Very professional. Work done quickly. Hopefully, my problem won't happen again. I was unable to see the other side of house because of the snow.

I have a raised ranch with an uncovered basement entry (no bulkhead) where I was experiencing a drainage problem. When I requested a quote the response was prompt. I was given multiple options for resolving the problem and once I selected one, the work was done professionally and quickly. I highly recommend Mr Home!

Very nice people

Called mr home to help with a basement leak. They were very quick to get back to me and set up an appointment. Soon after I was cutting them a check to fix my leak. Crew came over and were pretty good guys gave it there best. Unfortunately the basement leaks worse then is did before. When I called him to rectify the situation I received no answer. This has gone on for six weeks. When I finally did get someone to respond they set up an appointment to fix the problem then never showed. I had cancelled all my plans for those saturdays so I could meet them. I am the most reasonable guy there is and I understand that some times projects don’t go as easy as expected. There is no excuse for the lack of response. I call the office every day and the help says what more can I do I gave bill you message. As far as I am concerned he is nothing more than a thief. He took my money in good faith with a guarantee for his work and now he is on the run. I am ok if he is chapter 11 just let me now that so I can move on. I would not recommend anyone to use this man unless you want to get screwed. My guess is he won’t call me. Why would he . He has my money

They were the hardest workers I have ever seen

Mr. Home's rep, Bill, was very professional. He walked the property and then sat down and wrote up a quote. I asked and he readily shared his licensing info. He reviewed the quote with me and altered it to include some additional work I requested. Guaranteed the work for 5 years. Made a date. Had to wait almost two weeks which was a bummer. When you want to get started on projects like this you want to get started right away. But, as scheduled, the team came in. I can say that the best thing to do is to stay out of the way while they go at it. Don't know why I thought it would be a quick job. It took 4 days. Though there were different team members, the supervisor for the job, Evan, was there throughout. They were all nice. personable guys. And they worked liked mules in the protective gear with respirators. When I returned 3 days later the difference was like night and day. There's still a little odor, but it's tolerable and should go away with a coat of kilz on remaining walls. I don't know their building work, so I can't comment on it. But for demo and mold abatement, they were stellar and more than fairly priced. They come prepared but I recommend that homeowners - especially those in remote locations - consider providing them with plenty of water and paper towels. Also, it's a small thing but lunch and/or snacks, if you can afford it, go a long way. They turned my offerings into energy to complete my project and I couldn't be more grateful. $ well spent.

The two workers were courteous and professional with installing a new basement hatch door. The project was completed within a reasonable amount of time. They did an excellent job and cleaned up after themselves. I'm quite pleased. Unfortunately my basement continued to flood. I found out that I needed a French drain and sump pump and not a new hatch door. This was an expensive mistake. I don't know why Mr. Home didn't correctly identify the problem.
