We asked before scheduling an appointment if their estimates are free and said that we did not need a camera inspection, The tech called 5 mins before arriving. The tech was professional. He immediately wanted to send the camera down because "that is how [we] do this". After the inspection was complete we were presented with a bill for "sewer inspection".I told the tech that when I made the appointment I was told that their estimates are free. That there had already been 3 cameras down there and I already knew what the problem was, I just wanted an estimate on how much the repair is going to cost.The tech called his office and his manager call me. He insisted that his company does not do free estimates. We agreed that I would pay the tech for his time here, which ended up being $75.(for information I already knew and no estimate on the job)

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! Due to Fletcher's errors, and subsequent unwillingness to take responsibility for their actions we have accumulated extensive costs to repair a broken pipe, remove a ceiling to access that pipe, and then replace the ceiling. This does not include how time consuming it has been to bring in additional contractors and fix Fletcher's mistakes. Do not let this happen to you!! We had Fletcher come out to our house first, in early March of 2012 to unclog our second floor shower drain. Initially we thought the work had been completed sufficiently and had no compliants. Then about 2-3 months later we noticed the shower drain slowly started to clog up again to the same level it was before any work was done. Because they had done the work the first time, we called Fletcher to come out again in early June 2012 to re-snake the lines. Fletcher sent someone out to snake the drains again. I have lived in several older homes over the course of my life and have never had drains re-clog this quickly! We did not feel they had done an acceptable job the first time around since the drains re-clogged so quickly. When I tried to explain that 3 months was a VERY short time to have your shower drains re-clog i was informed "we don't know what you put down your drains" - the first indicator that Fletcher would not be taking ANY responsibility for their actions. Not only did Fletcher proceed to charge us full price the second time they came out but they also broke our pipes. Knowing that we had old pipes (they acknowledged this to us) they used a power snake to unclog the pipes, which resulted in the pipes breaking and starting to leak. At this point, they stated that they should have used the hand snake first, since the pipes were old, acknowledging their mistake. However, despite this acknowledgement, we were informed that we would have to call a plumber to fix the lines, and owed Fletcher our FULL payment immediately. Because we only have one shower in our home, we were forced to call a plumber in to fix the lines the next day. We soon learned that the break in the pipe caused by Fletcher was so far back we would had to remove a portion of our ceiling on the first floor to access and replace the pipes. Before the plumbing was complete, I called Fletcher to explain what happened to them. Fletcher continued to claim they were not at fault, despite their knowing that our pipes were old and the fact that the individual who came out to our house stated outright that he should have tried a hand snake first. Fletcher offered to refund a measly $50 to us to "pay for the pipe repair" - which i informed them would not be sufficient. They refused further assistance. We have now racked up approximately $1000 in repair costs between replacing the pipes, removing a portion of our ceiling, and replacing/repairing the ceiling (in addition to the approximately $300 we have paid to Fletcher for their attempts to snake our pipes). Working with Fletcher has turned into a complete nightmare!!! I seriously recommend that you do not use this company. Clearly they do not stand behind the quality of their work or take responsibility for their actions!

They also told me that they wanted to put a rooter in the sewer line because roots had grown in and they wanted cut the roots out. They said the roots had grown in because of the separation in the sewer line. They had a technician go in the basement and he was gettin ready to put the rooter in the drain and he hesitated because he told me that they gave him a reapired snake that was broken and had been welded back together. When they welded he could see that some of weld had splashed into a little groove. He mentioned he was afraid that it wouldn't hold together when he put in down in to the sewer line. I told him to make the call because he was the professional. He put the long snake into the sewer line and it broke so my sewer line was blcoked by their snake. The guy didn't know what to do. That was the only snake he had with him. They called their manager who came out and finished the job and then they charged me $1200 to remove their tool from the sewer line. They were never apologetic about any of it. I later asked the company who put the gas line in to come out because I figured they caused the break in the line. They came and told me there was no break in the line. So this company lied to me about the break in the sewer line and also made me pay for a mistake that they made.

We discovered our main drain clogged about 10 AM We called Fletcher about 1 pm, they responded almost immediately. Drain was cleared an functioning by 3:30. Workers were professional and efficient. We would not hesitate to use them again.

It went well in spite of the hiccups.

I contacted Fletcher Sewer & Drain based on a recommendation from a local plumber. The service work was performed at a single family residence that is currently rented. The company answered the phone immediately and scheduled a service call that accommodated the demanding hours of the current tenants. The tenants were pleased with the work and professionalism. I recommend Fletcher Sewer & Drain.
