I had two repair companies come and give me a price. Ace was the best price with no frills. He explained what he needed to do with no extras. When they were done, they explained that there wasn't as much work to repair as they initially thought, so they adjusted their price accordingly. Fireplace has been dry all winter.

The contractor did a fine job cleaning out our chimney and woodstove, quick and efficient and left no mess. They even cleaned out a couple dead birds that had fallen into our basement ash trap without complaints. They left us a no pressure quote to install a chimney cap to prevent a repeat of the bird incident. We'll do business with them again.

I had a very good experience with them. They were very professional. They did a good work and a good report. That was good. They were very friendly and interested. I like their kindness.

gave estimate in one week to repair crown of the chimmey. we didn't known about senior discount at time of inspection, we send are deposit in,and ask for senior discount. with in a couple of weeks they called to tell us that we would get the discount.job will be done in spring.nice to deal with. as always very happy with ace.

I called the week before Christmas to schedule an inspection/cleaning. Kelly answered the phone immediately, scheduled me for 12/23 so we could enjoy a fire for Christmas. She called the night before to confirm. The two guys showed up on time and were very courteous. They inspected the chimney and determined that it didn't need to be cleaned. They checked the furnace flue and confirmed that it vents to the outside so that also didn't need cleaning. They charged me $70 for the inspection which I was able to charge to my credit card. They recommended frequency of inspections/cleanings and left within 5-10 minutes.

Both guys were professional and found a serious problem of exposed brick that had no tiles to prevent a chimney fire. We are grateful that they were thorough and had the knowledge and expertise to prevent a more serious problem. Also, the creosote build up was our fault as we cleaned our own chimney since 2009 or so we thought we did. Lesson learned, and quot;don't clean your own chimneyand quot;. We will need a liner in our chimney which will be costly, but once that is done it is guaranteed for life. Thank you for doing your job proficiently!!!!

Ace Chimney Sweep was very professional and friendly. They inspected and showed me how to properly use the fireplace in my new home. They were running about a half hour late for the appointment and they gave me a call to let me know which is why I gave them an A for puntuality.They told me my fireplace was in great shape and did not need any other services. It's great to find an honest business I can trust.

The person was very professional but did not catch that the liner of the flue to the boiler was severely cracked and could have fallen into the boiler in the near future. A person brought in by the buyer of my house had to do the work to make repairs.

Two men from Ace Chimney arrived on time on the day specified. They were quite friendly and respectful. They cleaned and inspected the chimney and woodstove stovepipe. Because I had never lived with a woodstove before, I asked for a and quot;lessonand quot; in proper use, maintenance, etc. They guys spent 30 minutes showing me all the ins and outs. They even lit a fire and taught me to properly monitor stove pipe temperature and more. Based on this experience, I would say they're great guys and offer great service.

Excellent service . Was afraid the flue was not working properly but turned out there was just a buildup causing it to partially close. I've heard stories about dishonest chimney sweeps saying that repairs were needed when all was fine. That was certainly not the case with this company.

I called Ace because this was our first winter in a new house and one of the fireplaces (2 total) was smoking a lot so I thought it need to be cleaned. The guys from Ace were great! They inspected everything and told me I did not need to have cleaning done at this point - helped me figure out how to get rid of smoke problem - gave helpful info about good schedule for having chimney cleaned in the future. Just charged me for inspection. Could have and quot;cleanedand quot; and charged for it and I never would have know the difference! I really appreciated the honesty - as well as the great advice. I will definitely use Ace again.

My son had recently purchased a home in Springfield, Ma. this past December. He was in the process of changing out the oil burner and we were told by the plumber that we needed to have the chimney looked at because he was not able to connect the 5and quot; flue where the existing 9and quot; flue was. I was looking for a local chimney company and I called a few that were listed. I was pleasantly surprised that I reached a live person instead of voice mail. The home had been with out heat all winter and we were anxious to get the job done. Ace was able to schedule and inspection the next day and we were able to complete the chimney repairs by the end of the week. Unfortunately we had to install a new stainless steel liner, so the cost was more than I expected. But the technicians were efficient and explained why the repairs were necessary. All in all I was happy, because they understood that we needed the repair right away and they were able to do it. A very unusual occurance in the building industry.

It went great. I emailed Ace and received a response within 24 hours. They were at my house, on-time, within a few days and the service was professional, clean, friendly, and helpful. I highly recommend this family-run business.

These guys were great! The first chimney I showed them, Matt (son of the owner, I believe) told me that he'd be robbing me if he charged me to clean the chimney. He then showed me the chimney and how clean it was. So, his honesty saved me $80 (because it was $130 for the one chimney clean and then $80 for the additional). When he cleaned my other chimney, they removed dead squirrels and debris quickly and cleanly. They also installed a more cost efficient chimney cap that covered all three flues. They even patched some nail holes and some gap holes for me for an extra $50 while they were already up on the roof. They were professional, speedy, kind and honest. Very happy with them and would definitely recommend. I will also have them clean my chimney again in the future!

I have used this family run business for chimney sweeping and heat shield installation and already have booked them for this year. They are pleasant, reliable, and do a great job. They provide a discount for repeat customers via a coupon on your annual reminder post card (oh and that is also a service they provide-it's good to have someone remind you of this very important annual chore). I have recommended them to others and never received anything but positive feedback. They clean up after themselves so well you would never know they had been there-except for the clean-swept fireplace and hearth area.

Prompt and clean service crew, but their idea of a chimney inspection is lacking and not very thorough. Don't waste your money on an inspection unless you absolutely need it.

They were very professional, confirmed the appointment the night before, and had even called to cancel previously when weather was an issue. They did a thorough cleaning and inspection and didn't leave one speck of dust or ashes. Very efficient and a nicely coordinated effort. They inspected the chimney flue and discouraged me from spending money on one unnecessary procedure. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Arrived a bit early, very polite and efficient.

The sheet metal, approx 1 ft X 1.5 ft and no thicker than 1/32 inch with two beer-can sized cylinders for feedthroughs, cost $380 ("custom-made!"), the labor $450 (for two hours of work for two guys) and the cost of the bricks and mortar and incidentals brought the total to $1200. Is this reasonable? I paid up, but - I don't know...

Nothing was done yet I was charged a service call.
