Nilson was a joy. He communicates well and sets clear expectations for each job. He truly cares about the quality of the workmanship and the customer experience. I really appreciated that he repaired some paneling in addition to the plaster work. I am very pleased and anxious to have him return in the Spring to paint the exterior.

Nilson is amazing. He is everything you would want in a painter: thorough, meticulous, great attention to detail, neat and tidy. He gives a thorough estimate and explains everything that he intends to do. He knows what needs to be done and doesn't try to cut corners. He is punctual and gives accurate estimates about how much time the job will take. When he is working on a job, he tidies up so that you can use the facilities (if needed). For my deck, he powerwashed twice, once with an anti-mildew solution and once with a bleach solution. Just after the powerwashing the deck looked 100% better. And then he scraped, and I mean scraped. The deck was a mess with lots of peeling paint. Once he scraped everything down, he primed everything and then he painted with two coats of paint. He uses high quality paint and cleans up so the place looks better then when he started. I had a similar experience when he painted my bathroom. He even did extra (at no extra charge) because the contractor missed a number of spots around the medicine cabinet and in the closet so Nilson spackle those areas and made them look great. His paint job was meticulous and looks fabulous! I will use Nilson for every painting job in the future. He is a true professional and you will be very pleased with his work.

We met Nilson Guedes when he was working for our general contractor on an attic renovation. He painted the cedar shingles of a new attic bump-out. When the contractor went belly-up mid-project, we hired Nilson to complete the interior painting part because he did such a great job with the exterior painting. His work is absolutely beautiful. Nilson is a bit of a perfectionist. He even (quietly and gently) pointed out a couple of problems with the work of a carpentry sub-contractor, which helped to us manage quality control. When it came time the next year to paint another small renovation-- a sunroom-- we got bids from three painters, and again decided to hire Nilson. His was the middle of the three bids. Very reasonably priced for precise, careful work. He painted the ceiling trim and got not a drop of paint on our original wood ceiling. He is an incredibly nice guy, to boot. Each time he came to give an estimate, he did so within a few days of our call. He was clear about scheduling and showed up exactly when he said he would. We will be using him for future projects and really hope his small business thrives-- it truly deserves to. We know from speaking with him that he does everything from whole houses to small projects.
