+ -1 moreThe work was done as stated and Frank left the place as clean as he found it. There was another small matter where the chimney goes through the attic. I had forgot to mention it, as I am not in the attic all that often. Frank fixed it up without an additional charge.

Description of Work: Frank built new front steps for my house and rebuilt some of my concrete walkway. The steps are brick with granite tops. He completed the work well within the time he estimated. The work he did is very good quality (my neighbors had nice comments) and he cleaned up the work area in a very responsible manner.

+ 0 moreFrank was terrible. He didn't show up for the first appointment, was two hours late for the second, and I had to call him. He was rude and almost hostile. He promised an estimate in a week. It never came. I called him twice and emailed him. He never responded. I understand people being busy or having problems and gave him multiple chances. He was so unprofessional, and his behavior was so dishonest, that I am relieved I didn't hire him (and I probably would have )
Description of Work: I called Frank for an estimate on a broken pad underneath my front concrete steps, a new third step and repair of the fieldstone cover on my chimney.

+ -1 moreFrank is very pleasant and professional, and the work he did for us looks beautiful. I would hire Frank again. He worked quickly and cleaned up the area so there was nothing for us to take care of after he left. He thoughtfully put up a yellow caution tape across the stairs so no one would use them. We had hoped to give the work 48 hours to cure and the rain held off for almost exactly that amount of time!
Description of Work: Replaced broken bricks, refaced the risers, caulked the door sill and patched holes in the sides of our brick stairs at the front of our house.

+ 0 moreIt was a good experience. Frank was on time for both the estimate and work. He was fast, neat, on budget, had preprepared what he needed and came over on a Saturday. He was also a pleasure to deal with. I'd had trouble getting anyone interested in a small repair job and had one suggestion that the right repair wold cost thousands of dollars. The work Frank did will hold up very nicely and was cost effective. I will definitely call Frank again for any masonry work I need done.
Description of Work: Frank performed a small repair job for me. I had a crumbling concrete block in my garage foundation next to the garage door. He removed enough of the crumbling block to cement in replacement bricks to provide adequate support.

Description of Work: Frank Gonsalves rebuilt our steps and laid a new pathway in front of our house, the steps were falling apart, he rebuilt with new brick and it looks like new again, the previous pathway was not set correctly and it was uneven, so he removed that brick, reset new stone, sealed everything and did a great job

+ -1 moreThey replaced/repaired the brick stairs and it came out great. It was very tricky at the railings, and has held up very well. The front looks perfect. Regarding the price, I can't recall the number so put in a WAG, but I remember at the time it was very reasonable.
Description of Work: The bricks were falling apart on a brick stairway in the back of the house, right at the railing. Several were cracked and broken. In the front stairway the limestone was loose and coming apart. Frank replaced/repaired the brick stairs and it came out great.
