Description of Work: Fernandes and Sons was highly recommended by a friend of mine that used him for a bathroom remodel. We were looking to remodel our kitchen so gave him a call. Luis was very responsive and came to look at the job the following day. He was very thorough with his pricing which we appreciated because I didn't want any hidden costs. We scheduled the remodel to start once thr cabinets came in. Luis showed up as planned to start the job. He worked very neatly and he cleaned up after himself daily so our house wasn't a complete disaster. He Always came as scheduled and never called to postpone the work so the project moved along quickly. It was nice not having to coordinate multiple contractors he did the entire job start to finish. We were very happy with the work and will call Luis for all future projects.

 + -1 moreMr. Fernandas and his team (Roy and Jess) are highly skilled and very professional. Thy are careful workers who listen to the customer. They were excellent at making recommendationsthat would save me money. Mr. Fernandas' prices are reasonable and I was particularly inpressed with the team's problem solving ability. I plan on using them for all future plumbing work. They are great guys!!
Description of Work: They completed two jobs for me. The first was all the plumbing associated withe renovation of a bathroom. This was a complete gut job that required the moving of wall as well as the plumbing. The second job was a small one that included the repair of a line feeding water into the ice machine of my refrigerator.

 + -1 moreThe 'services performed' section pretty much covers the whole story. Luis is a great plumber who helped us out after a bad situation. I compare his services to the company who took advantage of us during the flood by charging an exorbitant amount for a new water heater. Luis had offered to look at it and try to get the flooded one working again but I made a pressured decision while still out of state to go with another plumber who said I needed a new heater and left to purchase one before I gave my consent. Lesson learned the hard and expensive way.
Description of Work: Sump pump failed last winter -luckily when Luis happened to be at our home working on another job. He went out and got replacement and installed it. This one failed after something blocked it during 1st March flood while we were gone on vacation. We had 2 feet of water in the basement because of this problem. Luis replaced that pump and installed another one at no cost. He came out during second flood when that one also seemed to be failing and made adjustments - again at no cost. For peace of mind I asked him to replace this pump with a higher quality one, with PVC piping installed for better performance. The pump is in a bucket surrounded by small stones to prevent another blockage from occurring. We haven't had any serious rains since but I fully expect this pump to work appropriately.

 + -1 moreWe just moved into a new house and had a washer and gas dryer delivered. Unfortunately, the gas pipe coming into the house was 51 inches from the ground and you cannot buy gas tubing longer than 48 inches. We needed someone to extend the gas pipe so we could hook up the dryer. We figured this out at 11 am and started calling some plumbers. Luis quickly returned our call and offered to stop by at 3 and give us an estimate. There would be no charge for the estimate. In the end he extended the pipe, hooked up our dryer, and changed our water valve that needed to be replaced as well. He was very professional, answered all of our questions, and his price was reasonable and truthful to his estimate. We would use him in the future.
Description of Work: extended gas pipe for dryer connection, dryer install, replaced water valve.

 + -1 moreI looked up on the angies list with some one who has previously submitted report with good rating. I choose Luis plumbing since his location is very close proximity to my home. I called him and explained the problems. He is very responsive and attended the call with in 30 minutes since he is working on another job which is few miles away. He did explain the problem in great detail and suggested the cost effective solution , fixed all the issues in one call. I am very glad to have called him. I certainly keep him in my contact list due to his passion to work and his respectful way of request and response communication.

 + -1 moreHe came at the arranged time, took care of everything, explained the problems with getting the water out and did not settle for getting most of the water out, but managed to get it all out although there was no easy way to do it, and took care of the water heater, which had gone off when the water level rose.
Description of Work: He pumped water out of a flooded basement, working from 6:00 - 10:00, adjusting his schedule so that I didn't have to leave work. He made sure he was able to get rid of all the water. He was careful, thorough and very understanding about my schedule. He was similarly helpful last fall with another emergency when a pipe under the kitchen sink started leaking.
