Description of Work: Clean the ducts in the first floor

Description of Work: We purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for a $299 duct cleaning back in October; setting up the appointment itself was a hassle. We had to call several times before we were able to schedule an appointment--each time, there was a long wait, and then, when we were finally talking to someone, the person could not actually schedule the appointment but rather took our contact information so that they could return our call, which never happened. When we were finally on the phone with someone who could schedule an appointment, the very first available appointment was over a month away, at the end of December, which meant that three months elapsed between our purchasing the coupon and having the service performed. | |When the date of the service did arrive, the service provider did a very thorough job cleaning the ducts and grates (unbeknownst to us, the grate cleaning was extra; that said, it was reasonably priced at $5 each.) Our only frustration was that the service provider seemed intent on selling us other services. In fact, he offered so many that it undermined our confidence in his recommendations. We would consider using them again in the future, as the work was done well, but we were very frustrated with the scheduling process and so would also consider looking elsewhere.

Description of Work: Not able to schedule as soon as we would have liked, but got appointment within a couple of weeks of calling. Technician on time and very professional and knowledgeable. Took his time to get our ducts inspected and cleaned and provided information regarding add'l services which would also help efficiency but was not pushing us to purchase more services.

Description of Work: Absolutely horrible. Dust and black soot all over my newly painted walls and trim. Then pushed debris to firebox and never cleaned that so when heat was put on house filled with smoke due to burning debris. Also cut holes in ventilation and did not seal up causing smoke and carbon monoxide to fill house. Fire dept had to respond three times in an hour and half. Fire chief was appalled by the work that was performed. Also the deal included dryer vent cleaning and the technician never even touched my dryer. Two weeks later house still smells of smoke and burnt smell. I was told by technician that had to respond back that he "forgot" to seal holes up. He also advised my husband and I only way to get smell out was to open all windows and put heat on high until smell burnt off. In doing so wasted gallons of oil and froze for several hours as we live in Massachusetts and it's been in the 30-40 degrees out. Still burning smell in my upholstered furniture, rugs, bedding etc. Only think grateful was we didn't go to bed with heat on or my children and I could have suffered from carbon monoxide poisoning. Still have not refunded my $299 nor have they followed up to see if problem has been resolved. Though I made four or five calls to them since the incident. So much for cleaning my house is filthy as a result of their work. Horrible service. Highly recommend not using them. Really bothersome considering they were so highly recommended by Angie's list. Someone could have died as a result of their work and they do not care.

Description of Work: Cleaned air ducts for two systems. The clean-up was very impressive as were all aspects of the job. The young tech (Mike)absolutely knew his business, explained everything, and was extremely pleasant.

Description of Work: It went well, the person who showed up was on time and very informative. He did a thorough job and cleaned up after himself leaving no mess. I have two system which cost an extra $199, however, I read the terms and it was expected, however, I don't know what a job like this would cost normally, so I can't say for sure whether I got a good deal or not, but it appears from reviewing other deals that it was either good or normal pricing. I have two systems, 12 ducts and 5 returns. He also cleaned the furnace which was unexpected, however, it was recently serviced anyway. Good job, reasonable price.

Description of Work: Great price with an Angie's List deal. Easy to schedule, friendly service person who was a little late arriving. The job was done in less time than expected and everything was left clean and neat.

Description of Work: Provider showed up on time and worked in an efficient manner to finish the job in a timely fashion. The provider was thorough in his explanations and took proper care to keep from making a mess. Was satisfied with the service.
