I have used them for a long time. They are always very knowledgeable and come quickly to do any repairs. they did the job neatly and told me how to use them. They messed up one of the thermostats and came back out to fix that problem.

Over the last not even 3 years, we had nothing but problems with the heating system they installed. Pump failures, burner failures galore. We actually stopped calling them,because their installer is so incredibly rude. 2 weeks ago the burner failed again. On a Sunday evening. Murphy claims to have 24/7 service, which they don't. We called another plumber, which is outstanding. The unit failing isn't their fault of course. It's just junk. But, their level of service, lack of responsiveness, rudeness is unacceptable. Today, the burner failed AGAIN. Different problem yet again. Here comes the major issue though: it turnes out, they didn't install the unit to code. No idea how it passed inspection. But because of that, Burnham will no longer warranty the unit. We had $2700 in repairs, which should be under warranty, but for which we had to pay for.

This project was a conversion from oil to gas in my 1900's home that went as smoothly as I ever could have imagined. They showed up on time and worked incredibly hard to finish on schedule. They performed magic in getting pipes up to the second and third floors without needing to open up any walls. In the end, David Murphy Plumbing was outstanding!!! I am very happy I chose them.

We agreed on bid and 2 days later Dave and one of his people arrived just after the new steam boiler was delivered. They disconnected the old boiler and another crew arrived and removed it. Dave and his guy installed and tested the new steam boiler system - no problems. I fired the boiler up for a few hours a couple of days later and everything was great. Dave came back the next week for a follow up. Overall assessment - TOP SHELF ALL THE WAY - without ???. Would recommend without ???.

He is very good. David Murphy is very well known and very well respected around this area. He's been around for at least 15 or 20 years. I would recommend him because he's widely respected in this area and he's very prompt. He always comes on an emergency basis. His price is not so great. He's pricey. I assume the more he goes, the pricier he is. I will use him again in the future.
