When he came out and did the work he left the chimney flu closed without telling us. We had a fire not knowing the flue was closed which cause a huge mess.

After dealing with a complete scam artist at a different chimney company I called George at 330 PM regarding a draft issue with my furnace flue. He was currently at another job site and informed me that he would come right out as soon as he was done. He showed up 45 minutes later and had my furnace flue issue resolved within another 20. He then inspected the rest of my fireplace and chimney and made recommendations as to what work needed to be done, but never attempted to pressure me into having him complete the work as the last guy had done. George was honest and hard working. I plan on hiring him again soon for my clogged fireplace damper.

My objective was to install a chimney cap to prevent animals from entering my home. I suspected that some chimney repair would be needed. George made and kept planned appointments. He took pictures to show the condition of the chimney, which was a great help to me in evaluating the need for the work. It was clear that there was repair needed because the crown had a hole in it and the brick mortar was deteriorated. In the process of doing the work, George found that the interior of the chimney was home to about 20 bats, which he humanely chased away using smoke. He took pictures before he smoked them out - cute, but I don't want them in my chimney. He completed the work and I am very happy with the results. The cap looks great and I will not have any more bats flying down the flue.

I had a home inspection for a house with multiple fireplaces and wood stoves and wanted to have a separate chimney inspection to make sure there were separate flues in good condition. George had done previous work for me cleaning my chimney, so I knew he took digital pictures to identify problems and added a chimney inspection to my list of house inspections. He arrived on time (while I had another inspection in progress) and was able to identify and take pictures of cracks in the chimney that were not visible from the ground and was able to determine the chimney was actually not high enough. Everything else was in pretty good shape and he gave an estimate to fix the problems (and let me know that it could probably wait a year). It is very good to know this information before a home purchase if you are planning to use the woodstoves/fireplaces!

Very good job overall. Prompt call back and followed up with a call about 40 min to his arrival to ensure the schedule was still good. He had provided a quote over the phone and honored it. He ended up cleaning a firebox in the basement along with the two fireplaces and chimney I had initially requested. For that he offered an additional discount ($20 less than the second fireplace, which was $20 less than the first). Once the cleaning was complete he made a small repair to one of the dampers and then went onto the roof to example the chimney, discovering two moderate problems which he documented via his camera. He showed me the pictures and offered several approaches to address them explaining the pros and cons associated with each, as well as the potential cost for each approach. Overall, he did a very good job and I would recommend him to others.

George came right away to do the work, but now that I've had more time to comparison shop I realize he ripped me off. He charged $200 to and quot;sweepand quot; my woodstove, but he only did the bottom! I had to have someone else come out to finish sweeping it, and they charged $140 and would have included the bottom in that! I'm incredibly frustrated. Don't ever let someone charge you more than $150 for a sweep. He also replaced the clean out door for $150. The other guy quoted me $125. So that's more on par but the other rip off is ridiculous. My new guy also commented that the masonry work was sloppy and ugly, which I had though too.

George cleaned an unused fireplace and it looks fantastic. He also fixed some issues that existed and made various recommendations. We definitely plan to use Axon again when we seal the chimney.

Initially: Company did not reply to contact request submitted using company web site. Company did not reply to email sent to address listed on company web site. Later: Company called and explained the slow reply.

Called in to schedule a quote back in January and spoke with George on the phone, he came out to the house (I did NOT need to be there) and went up to the roof to examine both chimneys. He followed up with an email containing picture attachments of all the issues as well as a written up quote. Called George a few times with some follow up questions and he was very responsive: If he didn't pick up the phone when I called (which was rare) he promptly called me back. After finally agreeing to the work, George advised that scheduling is weather contingent and would follow up a few months later when it was warmer out, safer to be on the roof, there was no rain, and he was available. George called in late May to schedule the work, came out for the first day, and the came back a week later to complete the work. Everything came out great; George takes pride in his work and is an honest hard working guy. I am very happy with everything.

George is always prompt, professional, and friendly. He does a great job and we have used him for at least 5 years for annual cleanings/servicings and never had any problem!

After an initial mis-step, the contractor went out of his way to do the job quickly and professionally. He did not try to sell us more than we needed, and did the right thing towards preserving our house.

George came by a little earlier than he had scheduled, which was great since I was around anyway, and got straight to work. Within 20 minutes he and his team had my chimney and furnace completely cleaned out. As I am a new homeowner, he explained to me that he would recommend depending on the amount of use that he come back in about 2 years to go through the process again, unless I use the chimney heavily in which case he should come out next year. The price was exactly what was quoted and I found that to be fair, 160 for the chimney, 140 for the furnace. I will definitely be doing business with Axon again in the future.

Great, no hassles and very professional!

George was good enough to call with a reminder of my appointment. He inspected my fireplace chimney and told me that it didn't need cleaning - no big surprise since it's rarely used - but replaced a damper that had been knocked out of position. He also inspected and cleaned the flue for my furnace. Next he went up on the roof to replace the cap that had fallen off and took photos of the condition of the chimney's bricks and mortar. While he was up there he was kind enough to remove the old antenna. Finally, George showed me the photos and explained why there was some deterioration of the bricks and cracks on the mortar on top of the chimney. He recommended a larger cap and re-cementing the top so that rainwater would not cause further deterioration. I thought his recommendations were right on the mark. I can't comment on his estimated prices because I haven't compared them with other estimates, but when I have the work done I will probably have him do it. George was friendly and good to talk with, and although there wasn't very much work that was needed, I got peace of mind, a fixed damper, and a good understanding of what ought to be done in the future. I thought his price was a little lower than most others I had seen quoted. Overall, a very good experience and I would recommend him to others.

It went well, he came on time and whatever price he gave he stuck to it, we can not see the chimney what he did but it looks good from out side and has not leaked.

I couldn't have asked for a more prompt and efficient response. I got a call back in less than24 hour, the job was quoted in another 24 hours and performed about two days after that in very efficient and effective manner.

George came out within 24 hours to examine chimney. He emailed us a full set of photos showing full extent of damage and needed areas of repair. He promptly followed up with a work estimate. The work was performed to our satisfaction and right on estimate. We are very happy with the services performed by this company.

George was responsive and prompt. He got upset that the wood stove had been used last the night before because it almost made the chimney too hot to clean, but he managed to clean it anyway, so we were happy.

This was a great experience. The gentleman came to clean the chimney. He came prepared, he was professional when he entered the home. He inspected our chimney and told us we didnt need a cleaning (we never used the fireplace since we bought the home and it appears the previous owners had cleaned it). He was honest, did an inspect, told us what we needed to pay attention to and gave my husband some tips on the chimney cap. Very honest, charged us only for the visit and not the original cleaning price quote. I also liked that even though he is a one man operation he answered my call from on the road. Excellent.

George was prompt to call after I logged an inquiry on his web site. He came out right away to give us an estimate for a chimney liner and cap for the top. He discovered some damage that needed repair at the top of the chimney we did not know about. We were impressed he took photos when evaluating from the roof so we could see the damage he found (we didn't just have to take his word for it, since we couldn't see it from below). His estimate was inline with what we expected. He ordered the parts and scheduled the work a few days after they came in. He was very nice, professional, and prompt. The work was completed on a weekend day in about 2-3 hours. He left everything perfectly clean.

We had our roof reshingled, and at the end of the job found out we needed all of our chimneys flashed - a job the roofing company was supposed to do but didn't. We called George, who quickly and courteously came out to give us a quote on the flashing, plus cleaning our liner for the winter burning season, and also inspected all of our chimneys while he was here. We let a little bit of time go by before booking the job with George because we got caught up in some other things. George put us on his schedule and came out and quickly, courteously and competently did the job. The price was fair, the quality and service were outstanding.
