Description of Work: Emergency call to fix furnace which quit working.

Description of Work: Replaced circulator on gas boiler.

Description of Work: They replaced a 31 year old boiler with a new high efficiency boiler. The work was done to schedule and completed on time. They kept the workplace clean and did not damage anything removing the old boiler. The install took 2 days, so we lost water occasionally, but always with warning and not overnight. The finished job is a work of plumbing art compared to what was there before.

Description of Work: They replaced a 17 year old steam boiler and replaced near boiler piping. | |The install went smoothly, but the new boiler experienced severe surging, which was eventually resolved by thoroughly cleaning the boiler on several occasions. While the cleaning should have been done properly from the beginning Nashoba was quick to respond to my concerns and resolved the issue in a prompt and professional manner. I would not hesitate to contact them again.

Description of Work: My house has a wall furnace in which the blower motor had failed. I called Nashoba to come give me a quote on repairing it or getting a new motor. The technician said that the motor couldn't be repaired but that they could quote me a new blower, and also, they would get someone to come out to quote me a price on a mini-split system to potentially replace the wall furnace. At the end of the visit, the technician charged me $95, but neither he nor the lady I spoke with to schedule the visit told me ahead of time about a charge to find out about getting a new motor. Many companies give free estimates, and so I was surprised at this charge. | |I scheduled a time with the company to get a quote on a mini-split system, as a potential replacement option. Someone came out to look at the house for that quote. He was very professional and gave me a quote right there. The presentation was very good, with several pages in a company folder. | |Subsequent to the visit, I received a quote for the purchase and installation of a new motor: $700. This was much more than I had budgeted for, and so I ordered a new blower assembly online for $135 and installed it myself. Although Nashoba told me the installation of a new blower was labor intensive, the blower assembly I ordered only required the use of one screw to install it and two more screws to attach the temperature sensor. I had the installation completed in under 10 minutes. | |Between Nashoba's schedule and the Christmas season, it took a couple weeks to get someone out to my house, though when a technician got there, he seemed very knowledgeable and professional. Overall, I thought the interactions with the representatives from Nashoba were very good. | |In the end, while I felt confident that they would do a quality job and that their professionality was A+, I was looking for a more cost effective way to maintain my (very) old wall furnace.

Description of Work: Nashoba Air and Boilerworks replaced my central air conditioning condensor and air handler with heat pump. They were helpful in explaining the process and installed the equipment professionally. I was impressed with the sales representative explaining the benefits of the heat pump and enjoyed using this technology this fall. In addition they were very helpful with the significant rebates that I was eligible from the purchase. I also learned from them about the Mass save program for 7 year interest free financing that allowed me to purchase this equipment. Overall, I had a very satisfying experience.

Description of Work: Installed 2 new heat pumps. Went out of their way to switch to another credit card when we made a mistake and gave them the wrong one. All energy incentives were as described before giving them the job. The buck stops with the owner and he is always responsive. His crew was polite and fairly careful in not causing any collateral damage. Overall, a good experience!
