More than ten years ago Computer Surplus Solutions started out as a small business running out of the owner's, John Kotstafis, home. During this time we specialized in repairing monitors and wholesaling computer products to other stores. After a year John decided it was time for Computer Surplus to become a retail store and rented a space on Jennifer St. near The Little Peach (now a Tedeschi Food). As the store now had a retail space we began to offer a variety of computer products and custom built systems to companies and home users as well as specializing in repairs and maintenance of computers and printers.
As our business grew, we realized that lack of space and poor visibility due to our location was holding us back. So after six years at the Jennifer St. location the decision was made to move to 235 Great Rd on RT-119. With this move our business changed dramatically and we were able to provide a much larger amount of new and used products. At this point we also began offering new services such as DC power jack replacement, data recovery, and backlight repair in laptops. In addition to these services, we started performing service at the homes or businesses of customers to resolve issues on-site.
After six years at the Great Rd. location we again felt that our location was lacking, not by size but by appearance. We recently found a new location at 537 King St. in order to better customize our store's needs. After a month of hard work preparing everything for the store we were able to open. We feel confident that customers will agree the new store is more accessible and comfortable than our last location. As a final step we have also recently implemented a remote support service for our customers, which allows us to repair problems at an on-site location from our store.
