SavATree - Lincoln

I received a proposal from Sav-A-Tree that was MORE THAN DOUBLE the proposal I received from one of their competitors (another "A" rated Angie's List tree service company). I ultimately went with the other company and am completely satisfied with the work they performed. (In fact, I decided to have this other company remove an additional large oak tree and grind the stump, which they did perfectly, and all for almost $1,000 LESS than what Sav-A-Tree was going to charge me for less work.)

Great experience with this provider. The workers are professional and experienced. Signed a one-yr contract for my lawn.

They did a great job, but seemed like a lot just for pruning. I was new to having these services done, so I may not have really known the true cost for these services. I guess next time I would make sure to do some checking before making the purchase to confirm one way or the other. The people were nice though and did what they said they would do. So no complaints.

Perfect! As the expression goes "You get what you pay for". Alton has been exceptional to work with and has gone way beyond what might be expected by a tree/lawn firm. The men that did the difficult tree work were skillful and careful of the property. Totally pleased with their work and the jobs they have done.

Sorry about the date, I can't remember specifically, but it was in winter 2014. The principal came to my home and inspected the 7 or 8 small trees around my house. He gave me advice as to what I should do about dead ones, and recommended ways to make my trees healthier, and to keep the branches from getting out of hand (over the sidewalk, over the neighbors etc. We live very close to our neighbors). He came up with a price about a week later. While I did not think that I would get everything done for the Angie's List deal voucher ($150+/- for $300 worth of service) I was surprised at the cost, and also by being signed up for yearly check-ups and fertilization. I pointed out that I did not like to be subscribed to things, and they were very nice about it, and took me off of that list. I signed off on the estimate, and a crew came by and did the pruning and attached 2 wires to problem branches. They took off $300, but I can't remember if that was before or after. They did a good job, and seem trustworthy. But I don't think I would buy another big deal like this one. Because I really only "saved" $150, and I have no way of knowing if it would have been the same either way, or if another arborist would have been more expensive or cheaper, or even if I could have just had a regular gardener do the pruning for 1/2 the price. It was nice to know that the principal knew what he was doing, but he did not do the work itself, and was not here for it, so I don't know if it would have made much difference in the long run. Still, they were personable, and my trees look good, Nothing died, and the blooms are starting to come out on the Dogwoods, so I am satisfied.

They were fabulous to work with. They cleaned up after themselves. They were matiuclous. They were quick and efficient. They were professional.

I asked for what they could do for the $400 deal that I purchased. They weren't interested in doing only $400 worth of work & 1st quoted my $1200 & then lowered that to about $750, neither of which I could afford.

This company is excellent! A lot of companies start off inexpensive then add costs. This company is not like that. They tell you upfront what the charges will be and don't add on. They are responsive, smart people and know thier business. I contuniue to use this company for my lawn. They have good prices and my lawn looks so much better since Ihave hired them.

It all worked out smoothly. It was pretty straight-forward. The offer came when I needed it and I bought it. They came and did a good job. I have no complains. They were very professional. They were probably wouldn't use them otherwise because their price is higher than in other places but with the deal, it worked. They were probably more professional than some of the lower cost people. They came, presented a quote and did what they said. They were on time, they finished and they cleaned up, everything you want.

It went fine, the pricing was a little high

The team at SavaTree Lincoln were great. Alton was very punctual with the initial appointment to survey the property and provide the estimate on the work I wanted done. He gave great advice on which plantings needed what, what should be replaced and what didn't need any work. Very practical and friendly. The guys that came out to do the work were very prompt and professional. Thely were here almost the whole day. They did a great job on the trees and also cleaning up everything after. The property looks great and I'd definitely use SavaTree again for future work.

They were good and responsive, came to house for an estimate on tree work. Their estimate was substantially higher than 2 competing quotes I had. Could not use the coupon for other services, such as landscaping, so have no use for tree service.

They got the work estimated and completed in about a week. You'd never know they were here, except fo the tree looking less tangled

All work was done in semi-urban backyard with several nearby 3-story homes. Neighbors at the back kindly cooperated by granting access to their driveway for cherry picker and other equipment.

It turned out great. They returned my calls and walked around and told us what trees we needed to watch out for. They were also very knowledgeable.

They were very prompt and very nice but due to very normal circumstances we were not able to start the work yet. They have appointments made with me to get them done.

They were okay, nice and the clean up was very good. I appreciate that he advised me not to cut my tree but rather have it trimmed. I was satisfied with the work.

That has been excellent. For what they promised, they came and did just what they said and that was fine. They were very professional and very thorough. They were excellent. They stand by their work.

The gentleman was very nice, but unfortunately the project didn’t match the deal. They were prompt coming out, and he was honest and thorough in his analysis and estimate.

It was fine. I definitely spent more than what I purchased the big deal for but I was very pleased with the advice that they gave me and I knew that it was going to cost more. I spent an additional $700 for the service. They gave me a very good advice. I was thinking about taking some trees down and they said that they really did not need to come down and that they could just do some trimming. They really just gave me a decent advice about how to keep the trees which I was happy with. There was one thing that they forgot to do but I never called them to come back and finish it so that was kind of my own fault.

Fantastic! Jim met me at my house to assess my trees' needs. I was certain that my dying/dead ash tree had to be removed, but was uncertain about the health of a nearby oak. Jim walked my property with me and evaluated the health and needs of each tree. He assured me that my oak was in good shape, but would benefit from some fertilizer in the Spring. He recommended pruning back the maples along my property border that were encroaching on the yard. He prompted me about any other questions that I had, and offered his opinions regarding pruning the spruces along my driveway. On the day of the work, he arrived with the crew, and we made another walk around with the crew supervisor confirming the work that was planned. I went to work, and when I got home, it had all been executed perfectly and to plan.

I thought they were great and accommodating

Upon signing up for the Angies List Deal, I was immediately contacted by Maureen of Sav-A-Tree to schedule a meeting with the arborist Jim. We scheduled the time for 3:30 on a Friday afternoon, and Jim showed up promptly for the meeting. Jim inspected the tree and we discussed what work needed to be done. Jim provided a fair price for the work and we accepted his proposal. Jim said he anticipated doing the work within a week or two, eventhough we had close to 2 feet of snow on the ground.Jim contacted me several days after we met, and scheduled the work for Thursday 2/20/14, less than 1 week after meeting with him. His crew arrived right on time and and did an excellent job of pruning and shaping the tree. They also did an excellent job of cleaning out an area that had 2 small dead trees and a large entanglement of an invasive vine that killed the trees. His crews were very neat and considering that they had to drag the limbs and debris through 2 feet of snow, from the backyard to the chipper in the driveway, they did an excellent job of cleaning up the area. Given the promptness and professionalism displayed by everyone we dealt with at Sav-A-Tree, we would definitely call them again for any other tree work we would require.

These guys are awesome = very responsive, friendly and experienced.

Good service and gave options to remove or radically prune trees. Professional and timely.
