SavATree - Lincoln

I moved into my home about a year ago. The trees around my house had become overgrown. Stefan came out to look at the job and then two man team came to do the work. I found them to be EXCELLENT. I will definitely be bringing these guys back next year. It was a wonderful experience.. very good at what they do!

Two trees were pruned and it went very well. Both the man who made the estimate and the two workers who pruned the trees were lovely to work with and inspired confidence. Beautiful results.

It was fine. They were pretty good but there was a little problem when they came late and they were not able to finish the job the day that they came so they have to come back again. I've used them in the past and they were better in the past. The experience was mixed...they were late because they ended up getting caught up on another job doing extra work for the previous person.

They came on time, and checked in with me before and after the work. They did extensive trimming of trees in my backyard. They performed the work professionally under adverse conditions (strong winds). They cleaned up all debris from the job and left the space in excellent condition.

I gave the quality an N/A rating because the tree is not in bloom right now, and it's hard to imagine how it will look in the spring. The owner who scoped the job was very professional, prompt, and appeared to know what he was talking about. The workers trimmed a large crab apple tree and removed a 'shooter' tree next to it. They cleaned up everything nicely before departing. They were also supposed to clip back some bushes near the crab apple tree but this was not done. Must have been a communication error between the owner and the people who did the work. Not a big deal. I was very happy to have the Angie's List discount because the work seemed a bit pricey for what it was. However, living in the area where I live I am accustomed to premium pricing on services!

After contacting the service, Alton Cole came out and we went around the garden and I pointed out everything I wanted done. We agreed to do the work in two parts, the front yard this fall and the rear yard trees in Jan/Feb 2014. The company had a voucher which I bought and a date was set. Alton arrived with two arborists at 7:30 AM and he carefully explained to them the scope of the work. Alton left, I went to work and came back to this terrific looking front yard. Not a leaf or twig had been left behind either. The arborists cleaned up everything. It was a pleasure dealing with this company and I would certainly use them again and recommend them.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They were very nice. We had a little mixup around the scheduling. They were good. I paid an additional $150 because I asked them to do some additional work. They have excellent customer service. They were very neat and really did a nice job. I would use them again.

Awesome service. Had a problem and they came right out, took them less than an hour to take down four branches that were dead on my 100 year old trees. Super friendly, prompt, picked up and neat.

I signed up for an online discount offer. The company responded in a reasonable amount of time and explained that they were quite busy, but would be back in touch to schedule the job I described. Jeff, a representative, came for an initial visit and I pointed out what I wanted done. It was straightforward work, and we agreed that I did not need to be at home when the workmen came. The first work was done on September 9. What they did was fine, but there must have been some miscommunication in the work order because the branches over the patio and garden were not removed. It took weeks of phone calls and messages to arrange to have the job completed. We were told someone would call the day before. Time passed with no call, so we left messages, and so it went. One day Jeff rang the doorbell. I pointed out exactly what I wanted done, and the work was completed -- in late October. We are pleased with the work, but the delay was frustrating. At the beginning, I added a task -- cutting away dead branches of a peach tree, for which I agreed to pay an extra $100. That was done on the first visit, and we were billed as expected. Another bill came with an overdue charge, and I talked with the book keeper who understood and agreed to remove that charge. I really had gotten to the point where I felt my only leverage for getting the job finished was to withhold the final payment.

I don't think they trimmed an arborvitae hedge to the degree we described. Otherwise, very good.

There was a snafu in the scheduling - perhaps due to the success of the Angie's List Big Deal - and it took several weeks for them to finally schedule a visit. I had to call them, and they misread the month thinking they still were within their promised window. That said, the work was meticulous and professional. The house looks much better, and safer from tree contact, and the cleanup was excellent. in spite of the scheduling snafu, we would gladly have them service our trees again.

They brought in a big truck with a crane. I had to remove the picket fence to the backyard access of a truck. The rest is done quickly and they cleaned up the yard after the work. I had another company quote which was cheaper but they were slow in sending me the quote. SavaTree was quick in responding and gave me the estimate on the spot. The Angies list coupon is valid only for $300 work for $157. Thus I saved only $143 out of 1911.

From estimate to work completion, I was extremely happy that I chose Sav-A-Tree. Jim, the arborist, took his time to answer my questions and to explain any tree topic that arose as part of our walk around my property. I felt comfortable and confident that this vendor could do the job while meeting my expectations, so that's why I chose them. I indicated a time (one month later) that I wished for the work to commence and they called a week prior to confirm their arrival. Three workers arrived, surveying the work list to be done. They explained their approach and off they went. They used various methods to trim, cut, prune, and remove all of the trees outlining my home's property. They used a grinder and when the truck was full, one worker left and promptly returned to continue the work at hand. The workers were fast, professional, and courteous. Jim, also stopped by to supervise and check on status. That was a welcome sight. I now have a more trim and open year, having less worry that branches will hang too low from ice and snow on my cars or home. Highly recommend Sav-A-Tree.

When I scheduled an appointment they told me that there was a minimum spending requirement of $800. It does not say that in the ad, and that is way more than is justified for the task that I bought the coupon for. This is bad advertising, deceiving and a waste of time. When I contacted the service they told me that there was minimum of $800 that was outlined in the ad, there is not such disclose or requirement.

From the first visit to the billing these guys are fantastic! Jeff knows what he's doing: a real professional. I highly recommend.

The team of 2 showed up on time and worked hard to achieve the goals. They did a great job lowering branches down without hitting our house or our fence. They recommended we anchor several branches to ensure that they did not fall in the future. They even installed a rope swing to make our kids super happy! I would highly recommend them. They won the job on price and timing - they did the work with a weeks notice.

I called SavATree because of their A rating on Angie's list and got a call back promptly from Alton to schedule an appointment. Alton came and within few days I got an estimate by email. It was slightly lower than another estimate I got from another A-rated contractor I had used few years ago. The clincher to use SavATree was the fact that they had an offer on Angie's List that lower the cost even more. Within a week, Alton came to introduce Chris and Matt who were to perform the job at that time. The job when as expected and it was impressive to witness the efficiency and carefulness displayed by both Chris and Matt during the whole time for the job. They cut all the branches requested to be cut and cleaned up completely afterwards, getting rid of all the leaves and twigs left behind the cutting.

The 2 men who came first walked with me the property to be sure they knew exactly what was expected. They then proceeded with the work to be completed. All trees were trimmed as requested. The men made sure that the trees looked nice from the street. Branches were individually cut so as to shape the trees. Upon completion with the trimming the yard was cleaned. The attention to detail was wonderful. The men would periodically get down from the ladders, stand away from the trees and look to see that the shaping was just right.

They cleaned up well the first time I had them for work. The second estimate was a little higher than expected. I thought they could lower it, but they didn't.

SavATree was professional and punctual and did a wonderful job pruning several trees in my yard.

they came in one week, finished in an hour and cleaned up the mess! the only thing is the tree root are still there (need pay more probably)!

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. Those guys were excellent. They came within a week. It is an excellent company and I would recommend them to anybody. They are reasonably priced. It is everything you would want out of a service. It was 200% satisfaction. The people were great and they showed up on time. They cleaned up after themselves and you wouldn't even know they were there. They did an outstanding job. I would use them every single time for anything they provide.

They were very responsive and nice. The man that came out to give the estimate was wonderful. When they sent the tree guys around, the first thing they did was back their truck onto the sidewalk and break one of the branches on my tree. If the guy that initially came had been with them, it would’ve been fine, but there was an initial misunderstanding between myself and the men that came out about, what was to be removed. I think they might have been overwhelmed because of the Big Deal offers, and that might be why he wasn’t there. Once we got on track, everything was fine, but I think I’m going to go back using my other arborist. They were really nice guys, and did a good job, but I think it would be better for the head of the department to be there with them.

It started out well, we had a pretty full lawn, but also a lot of weeds. The treatments provided from Savatree got rid of all the weeds which was great. Next step was growing back some lawn. We had them plug and seed the lawn last fall, but it never really took and despite continuous monthly treatments this year continued to look worse and worse. I don't blame them, but I would think there should be a bit more shepherding along with someone just showing up and spraying your lawn. I.E. - that person should know to report back that things are not looking good, and prescribe watering, or something. The lawn just got worse and worse. It just felt like there was a bit too much of a disconnect between the excellent arborists/lawn specialists and the actual care of the lawn.
