Chuck is simply the best: knowledgeable, quick, thorough, and always alert to possible problems before they arise. We found Chuck through a friend for whom he did both new construction of a large addition, and the remodeling of kitchen & 3 bathrooms. Our home, built in 1920, has its only bathroom on the 2nd floor. Over time, a slow leak from the bathroom created problems in the kitchen ceiling directly underneath it. Neither the bathroom nor the kitchen had been updated since about 1988. We inherited many "prior homeowner repair" flaws when we purchased the home in 1995. Chuck carefully reviewed our wants and needs (and our budget) before he wrote up the estimate. As new issues came up, he discussed options with us so we would not be blind-sided. He did exactly what he promised to do in a timely manner--important since we only have the 1 bathroom--and with great attention to detail. He accompanied us on our field trips to choose fixtures, tiles, etc., making appropriate suggestions and answering questions as we shopped. We paid separately for the shower fixtures, exhaust fan, grab bars, medicine cabinet, the two bathroom light fixtures, and the 2 windows. Chuck (1) demolished bathtub & surround down to the (gulp) horsehair & lathe walls, (2) completely re-plumbed the bathtub area, (3) re-wired 2 walls, installed new electric receptacles & switches and 2 light fixtures, (4) installed new tub & surround, tiles, bath fixtures, grab bars, exhaust fan, (5) patched & painted bathroom ceiling, (6) arranged for installation of a mirror & the new kitchen ceiling, (7) installed new can lights in kitchen, and 2 new windows. We could not be more pleased with the results. We heartily and unreservedly recommend Chuck for any construction you need done.
