My snowblower was broken, and I'd been sick, so it was difficult to get out there and shovel. It snowed about a foot the day before, and we did that ourselves, but it was very difficult. That night I called a few places to try to find someone to plow for the storm expected the next day. Mr. Turnquist has someone answering the phone, which is great. Everyone else I called did not call back. I think by this time of winter, most plowers have their list and that's enough. I was told that he would come the next day. It snowed about 4-5 inches before the next morning, then turned to freezing rain/sleet. By the time Mr. Turnquist came (late afternoon) there was really no alternative to the plow, since the top layer had frozen. Had I know the price, I might have done it myself. In any case, it did get done, and they did a good job. Nothing extra besides the plowing, so you have to get out and shovel the ends/corners yourself. To me $100 seems pretty steep. I think $50-$75 might have been more like it. I suspect for a one-time customer like me, it costs more.
