We hired Krefta Landscaping, in Billerica, MA, last year and were so pleased we hired them again this year for extensive pruning, weeding, and mulching. This is an outstanding landscaping company and we highly recommend them. Edson Krefta offers a fair price, along with prompt, professional, and reliable service. His employees worked tremendously hard from sun-up till sundown, transforming our property into a place of pride. Hire this company! You won’t regret it.

Edson Krefta and his crew are amazing. We met with quite a few masons and landscapers but Krefta Landscaping was quickly the obvious choice. Edson was very responsive, came out in person to discuss a detailed proposal, and was the only one who wasn't intimidated by the slightly sloped location of where we wanted the patio! Others suggested we move it or do some bizarre designs to make it work -- Edson wasn't at all intimidated and made it work perfectly. We were also really impressed with the Krefta team. They are all perfectionists and we were also so impressed by the level of clean-up they did at the end of each day, even when they'd be back the next morning to keep working. Really can't recommend Krefta Landscaping highly enough. Will definitely work with them again for any Landscaping needs.

Everything went very smoothly. Edson came out, we talked about the work we were looking to have done. We picked out materials and the work proceeded smoothly. The team was incredibly efficient, did an amazing job, and completed a thorough clean up when finished.

Krefta Landscaping is a very high quality outfit, and while I didn't hire them in the end, I would definitely consider them for my next job. I got in touch with the company and quickly heard back from Edson. We arranged for a time that was mutually convenient and he came right on time, even though it was a Saturday and he had personal family commitments. He listened carefully to my project goals and had a great checklist "survey" to record what I was trying to achieve. He even brought a laser level to check elevations and ensure that what I was looking to do was physically possible given the slope of our yard. The quote came a few days after his visit and was exactly what we discussed. We ended up not hiring Krefta because the pricing for the rock wall was higher than our budget would allow and we had another quote that was able to fit just inside our budget. Edson did offer a few alternative ideas to help lower the cost, because he was conscious that it was higher than our budget would accommodate, such as using different materials. I do believe that, based on some of the examples I saw of Krefta's prior work, the attention to detail and beautiful artistic work they do are worth an extra premium for a natural stone wall (it was ~20% higher than the average quote I got, and 40% higher than the low bid). Unfortunately for us, in this case the premium was too much for us to manage so we went a different route. We have more work to do around our landscape and will be contacting Krefta in the future about other projects, since our experience here was very positive.

I called several times and left messages, but never heard back from the company and they never showed up for the scheduled appointment.

Edson has really been a pleasure to work with. He's smart, likable, and a very hard worker. We've made numerous changes along the way and he's taken it in stride. Anything that we felt like was his mistake he rectified at no cost to us. He's very creative and came up with his own designs, eliminating the cost of a landscape designer. He's completely transformed our 18,000 sf yard. Now that phase 1 (the hardscaping and landscape redesign is almost done), we're about ready to move on to phase 2 (the planting design). I've really enjoyed working with Edson and we're already thinking about what we might do next year. (Rain water harvesting system? Permeable driveway pavers?) Edson is very creative and entrepreneurial. He's made Krefta Landscaping into a full service company that can do it all-- landscape design; hardscaping; retaining and sitting walls; masonry; planting design and installation; fencing; lighting; irrigation; and on an on.

Krefta did exactly as was promised in our agreement and his staff was punctual, professional and courteous. The job went extremely well and the owner, Edson Krefta, communicated with us during the entire process making it a wonderful experience.

The owner, Edson and his crew are very customer-focused. They listened, were responsive, did what they said they would do and even more. All of my neighbors couldn't believe how hard these guys worked to produce such a beautiful result. Their pricing is competitive, they use quality products and they stand by their work with a 5-year workmanship warranty. They also are a certified Unilock paver installer. I picked Unilock because of the quality and beauty of their product. In addition, if you have their products installed by a certified contractor, Unilock will give you a lifetime, transferable warranty on their products. This all gave me great peace of mind. I would highly recommend Krefta Landscaping for the hardscaping and drainage work they do. I have seen their Website and Facebook page. It looks like they do great landscaping and other exterior enhancement work, too. They also have financing plans available.

They were the subcontractor hired by my landscaper. They were responsive, showed up when they said the were going to show up and worked very hard. They worked long days and were interested in my satisfaction so I was very pleased with them. They were included in the same bill with the other landscaper.
