Home Team Moving Co

I did not hire Home Team Moving Company because I obtained a lower cost quote from another company, but I want to commend Ben Damian for donating his and his company's time to a Saturday grassroots project to collect and move furniture, donated by Lexington residents, to Household Goods in Acton, a charitable organization that provides household furnishings free to people in need. I give my ratings from my impressions of Ben's professionalism, from meeting him when he gave me a moving estimate, and again that Saturday morning, for his community spirit and participation, driving all over town for pick-ups.

It went great, the three men arrived on time and were very professional and friendly. First they came in to get an overview of the job so they could create a strategy to move things in a logical manner. The most complicated items to move were the treadmill and elliptical machine. They were able to disassemble/re-assemble our treadmill and maneuver the elliptical into our new basement without a scratch. They carefully wrapped any furniture that could be scratched, they were extra careful with the boxes marked "fragile", and they really worked well as a team. They never got aggravated with our pets or children who were not always being helpful, or me when I asked them to re-arrange the sofas several times. I would definitely hire them again.

I'd honestly have trouble imagining a better experience with a moving team. Home Team was extremely responsive right from the start - working with Ben over multiple phone conversations, emails exchanges and a home visit to map out the scope of the move over two stages, and then estimate and schedule accordingly - and that initial experience was totally validated by the actual moves themselves. They called a day ahead of time to confirm when and where they'd be arriving, then on each moving day the team lead called as he was on his way to give me a (very accurate) ETA. The team of four that arrived was terrific -- working hard, moving efficiently and quickly, taking significant care with our stuff when moving it out and then showing equivalent care (and creativity) when moving it all back in, including around some very tight and challenging corners, while remaining totally friendly and personable throughout. To sum it up: Home Team delivered on every level. Not only did they prove to be extremely good at navigating the physical and logistical challenges of the move, but their customer service was exceptional at every step. It was a really positive experience, and I'd have no reservations about recommending them to family and friends.

They were unbelievably wonderful and fantastic. They came when they were supposed to. They were 5 minutes late and they apologized for being late. They worked faster than the time quoted. The price was just great and they were just 3 wonderful guys. They also went to Seabrook, NH to drop some stuff off at my son’s house as a last minute request which was an hour away, and they were able to do it and didn’t complain. My son also commented on how well they did and how fast they were. They were very accommodating and even helped my neighbor out once they were done with me by moving a washer. They were the nicest guys and my friends couldn't believe how organized they were. I will definitely hire them again and they were amazing.

The move went smoothly from beginning to end. The person with whom I made arrangements over the course of several days was, at all times, friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, and on target with estimates. The crew leader was extremely professional, and inspired confidence through all his actions. He was polite and confident, respectful and reassuring, but never patronizing; personable, and hard- working. The other men on the team handled things carefully, and took direction well. The crew leader's decisions about everything from where to position the truck on both ends, to how best to utilize the men who worked with him, inspired confidence. The trek from the truck to the apartment at the destination site was quite long, but all seemed to take this in stride and in good spirits. I only wish they had taken real water breaks! I appreciated that this man reviewed the invoice with my client and me in a way which was clear and straightforward. She could not have been more pleased- nor could I!

Great work. On time, very friendly, professional, moved into home with tight corners without an issue. Laid out options throughout the process. Were very patient with us as my wife and I tried to decide where pieces should go on the fly. Handled delicates with great care. Will use again and again.

I only have superlatives to say about the Home Team Moving: Bati, Chris and Darnel were just the best!. The team arrived exactly on time - looked at what furniture was to be moved and then got immediately to work. Bati understood this was a difficult process for me as I explained we had been here for almost 30 years and showed compassion as the team moved along. The team wrapped the furniture and all was moved very easily and quickly. If you need a mover, you have to work with Home Team Movers - they are just the real deal - great service and good pricing = very satisfied customers!

These guys worked out great. James, Travis & Raef arrived at my house on time and were actually able to move my stuff in less time than what was estimated,. They were professional & skilled.

They were very good. They were excellent, I would hire them again in an instant. I liked the way they handled the furniture, and the way they handled people. I would recommend them.

Home Town Moving is A-rated and more. The guys were smart and hard-working. We would use Home Team Moving again, without hesitation.

They were punctual and very professional. Everything was very smooth. I did have slight damage to my big TV, but that was the only problem.

I hired Home Team on at least 3 occasions, for jobs related to cleaning out and remodelling a one hundred year old home. James and his crew arrived promptly on time and on all 3 days got right to work. On the first two jobs, they organized and finished packing a large quantity of furniture and many boxes, and took it all to a storage facility. There was a ton of stuff! The jobs were done quickly and efficiently and with a high degree of professionalism. The third time I hired them, it was to get the house ready for renovations. They quickly moved a house full of furniture out of harms way. I would highly recommend Home Team Movers!

They are so great - fabulous customer service. They fit my job in last minute and when my rented truck from NY didn't show up on time they were so easy to deal with to reschedule. The movers were incredibly professional and really fabulous - even helped with decorating ideas! Highly recommend them!!!!

Two men arrived on time and went straight to work. They finished in less time than estimated, very impressive at the speed as well as caution with which they worked. They had excellent communication skills and were eager to be sure they had covered everything. We plan to use them again in a couple of months when we do more renovations. Their price was very competitive. They answered the phone in real time with a real person and made follow up calls for job confirmation. We will use them again in a couple months for more renovations.

HTM was very easy to contact and returned calls promptly. Another provider had bailed on us due to personal issues, so we were pleased to find another mover with short notice. $100 deposit was against all common advice, but I was glad to lock in a team on my date of choice. Quote was unbelievably low, considering travel time was included in the hourly estimate - but they hit it right on! The day before the move we received a call that the truck would be late - they had scheduled another quick job that morning. I was content to have the extra 2 hours to complete last-minute packing, but not everyone would be so flexible. They arrived at the rescheduled time and went to work. The three guys wrapped and moved things out so fast, we could barely keep up with supervising! They took the time to wrap all wood pieces completely with furniture pads & tape, but skipped the "soft items" such as couches and mattresses. I was a bit disappointed, as I had been told mattress bags would be provided and had skipped purchasing some. We didn't notice any damage or dirt on anything after the move and could have paid for shrink-wrapping, if we were more concerned with certain pieces. There was a little slow down towards the end of packing, when we started running out of truck space. The truck was tightly packed, but they had miscalculated and taken too short a truck. This was explained as being due to our office space making it equivalent to a 3BR, but I had sent a detailed list of furniture, including this space. We ended up making another trip on our own and stuffing bikes and other small items in our cars. (I should also mention that we were responsible for transporting the propane tank from our grill - but it is pretty typical that moving companies do not have the licenses to transport flammable materials.) Overall, I was very impressed. These guys worked themselves incredibly hard, running up and down stairs to deliver 3 heavy boxes (of which, I would have struggled with only one!) at a time to our new home. Beds and furniture were reassembled and placed where we asked. Everything was loaded and unloaded within 4 hours, including a 30 min. drive between addresses and two brief 5 minute water breaks. All this on the hottest day of the year - it was well over 100 degrees! Despite a few snafus (guys, next time please take your tape & trash with you!), we were very impressed by the motivation and commitment from the team of movers. I've never seen anyone move so fast, carry so much weight, and never slow down even in the intense heat. We tipped well, but in retrospect not nearly enough. These guys work so much harder than your typical wait staff!!!
