Description of Work: I did not use this provider for the work I wanted done as his estimate came in higher then I was prepared to pay.

Description of Work: We had bought 2 wooden doors at Lowe's and requested a carpenter from Handyman Matters to fit, install, and stain the doors. The first carpenter hung the doors improperly such that they could not be used. Upon complaining HM sent out a second carpenter with 2 new doors--he was able to hang the doors but he botched the staining job so that now we are going to having someone else try to paint the doors to salvage them. Everyone at HM was polite, but we were extremely disappointed with the quality of the work.

Description of Work: Had then quote a skylight project which is possibly a but more than they usually take on, estimator was punctual and pleasant and quote very resonable. We decided to wait on the project but will call HMM again for future needs.

Description of Work: My old front door had swelled to the point that it wouldn't close. They arrived promptly, and had the door fixed within 15 minutes. Six months later, it's still working perfectly.

Description of Work: I had a few odd jobs which took less than 2 hours. The workman presented a bill for 1.5 hours of work and was unaware of the contract with Angie's list. By the time he called his boss and for me to find the confirmation, I lost the last 30 minutes. I was pleased with the work (replace weather stripping and fixing a rolling cabinet draw. I would not have thought it was worth the $169 bill that was presented to me. But it was worth $ 99 that I paid.

Description of Work: Fixed outside gate, installed dog gate inside, put up small magnifying mirrors, fixed three blinds, etc. Punctual (early!), wanted to fix things just as I wanted, multi-talented. Excellent customer service.

Description of Work: I took advantage of this special deal to have them fill holes under my sink, cover the back wall under the same sink, and 'pretty it up'. |Their work was outstanding! The filler took longer to dry than I expected but they were VERY responsive, and after 3 days( it was a deep hole) they turned out to be perfectly right. All dry and sealed completely. | |I would strongly recommend them and use them again. In fact, I have a long list of things I want them to do!

Description of Work: I purchased the big deal for $99 for 2 Hours of Handyman Service. Everything turned out fine. He was able to extend the deadline for me since we could not schedule right away. He accidentally broke a pretty mug of mine which I was not happy about.

Description of Work: When I first contacted him I explained the problem. I then sent him some photos taken with my iphone but he did not get back to me. Also, I now think that my problem would require more than two hours to rectify.

Description of Work: We contacted Handyman on Friday, asking that they arrange the replacement of an over-the-stove microwave. On Monday they called to arrange installation today between 3:00PM to 4:00PM on Tuesday.. No one showed up then and we received a call asking if we were willing to have it installed at 6:00PM because the installer had a big job elsewhere and was running behind. Again, no show at 6:00PM. Finally a call at 8:00PM,, when we said that we would look elsewhere to have the microwave installed. Completely undependable: if you are over-committed say so, rather than make promises that you know you can't keep.

Description of Work: My appointment with Handyman Matters was rescheduled three times on the days in which I expected the handyman to arrive. The first appointment was cancelled due to a snow storm; I certainly understood and I would not have wanted to drive in the snow. The second appointment was cancelled I was told because the handyman had a family emergency. The third appointment was cancelled I was told because the handyman broke his glasses at the appointment before my scheduled appointment. The company representative has not followed up with me to reschedule after he left a message for me regarding the cancellation of the last appointment. He asked that I contact him to follow up. I will not contact the company for another appointment; best for me to find another company to work with. I would appreciate a refund of my payment from Angie's List.

Description of Work: I phoned Bob explaining what I needed done at my home. He told me he could come the following day to look at the work I needed done. He phoned saying he was running about 30 mins late, which I thought was professional vs leaving me waiting for him at the time we chose for him to come. Bob arrived and I showed him the work. He was professional and understood what I needed done. He told me he would email me a quote either that evening or the next day. That was 1 week ago and I am still waiting for my quote.
