Description of Work: install br faucet. umm, thought it would take about an hour and 1/2. nope 3.5 hrs. installed faucet backwards. asked to leave and come back, stated it would save me gas and travel time. told him i was working' @ 6pm. arrived back in rush, didn't discuss cost for over the time i already paid for. asked if he could use the last 1/2 hour to fix kitchen sink which had slight leak. looked @ same and said, "well it isn't leaking now!"

Description of Work: After we had our basement flood, the people that cleaned up the water destroyed our baseboards and had to cut out a fairly large section of drywall. We had these items all fixed as well as had a vent installed in our kitchen. The person they sent was great, professionally, and was honest in their assessment of options. I appreciated the honesty. Cost was a little high, but the quality of work was very good.

Description of Work: Installed a simple handrail on five stairs down to the basement. Work was fine, but over half the cost was for travel and supplies - a trip to the Home Depot 10 minutes away and $25 worth of lumber and hardware. If you use Handyman Matters, make sure you have all the materials on hand before they arrive!

Description of Work: He tried hard but not skilled in all the small projects and I discovered he forgot to paint inside the new window we had installed. Rich is a very |Nice man however when he fixed the front stairs the cement he used is much lighter than the rest. |He forgot to paint the iron rail and a few touch ups inside. I cannot give you the dollar amount as I am not at home. I would love to finish our projects in the spring or talk to someone about how to continue |I believe I paid enough |I'm not at home today but will be available to talk tomorrow afternoon

Description of Work: I had contacted them to do some work on my kitchen based on all the great reviews. I set up an appointment, but the day before they contacted me letting me know that one of their guys had been injured and other had some family health issues and they needed to reschedule. No problem. They said they would call me back tomorrow once they had a better handle on how long those guys would be out. Fast forward a week later, still no return phone call, so I call them again. They said I had an appointment for tomorrow-I asked if they were planning on telling me that and told them I could not do tomorrow. I gave them a few different dates, none of which they could/would accommodate. When I expressed frustration about having to wait several weeks for their next open window then asked if they could prioritize me since they had canceled me earlier service, the woman was quite un-professional. At that point, I just let her know that I would find someone else.

Description of Work: Some sections of a picket fence surrounding our property were rotting. I hired a handyman to repair it. Rather than replace the rotted areas with new sections of fence, he replaced pickets and reinforced the fence where needed. While the fence is no longer falling down in places, it looks only "okay."

Description of Work: I have used Handyman Matters three times in about 2 years and have been very satisfied with the response for work and the work itself. I had general repair work in my home that needed to be taken care of. I was pleased with the work performed.

Description of Work: I requested a person who was proficient at hanging pictures. This gentleman put heavy duty screws in the plaster walls. |I guess I won't be moving these pictures anytime soon!
