He did a superb work. It went very smoothly. The door shuts so much better now.

Received several calls confirming date and time from manager/owner. Received a confirmation call the night before from the carpenter, Mark.. Mark was running late on the scheduled day, but called to let me know his approx. arrival time. Took out all wood rot and ensured house siding was in good condition. Measured and went to local lumber store to pick up replacement materials. Put new molding around sliders. Mark cleaned area upon completion. Very pleasant gentleman -- enjoyed out conversation. Entire job took about 3 hours.

Adequate - the person who the office manager said would do the brick work was not the one who came, so there may have been a substitution for a stand-by guy and not as skilled as the promised guy - the fill-in guy's truck was unmarked. The work was ok but the guy was slow - he didn't bring enough mortar with him and had to go to Home Depot for almost an hour to get more, and I was charged for the time. After the work I left a phone and an e-mail message with the office manager/owner who never got back to me. That's what I don't like. He may have more than enough busness but should reply to customers, even after he's paid.

Excellent experience all around. Communication with Handyman Matters was first-rate and comprehensive. Rich, who came to our house, was knowledgeable and did superlative and efficient, quick work. He arrived with everything that he needed to get the job done. The total cost was less than what we expected, so we felt that it was great for both cost and the final outcome. Even though we do a lot of DIY work ourselves, we knew that what we needed done this time would better be handled by a pro and we were right. We definitely would use Handyman Matters again and would recommend them to anyone who has jobs around the house that require a pro.

I spoke to Bob Samson, who scheduled a man named Kenny to come in 2 weeks- not ideal but this was not an urgent job. I received a reminder email the day before the appointment saying Kenny would call to answer any questions I had, get details about the job, and discuss other work projects I might have. Nice professional touch, only Kenny never called. Ok, not a big deal. The next day, Bob called 20 minutes before Kenny was scheduled to show up saying Kenny's vehicle wouldn't start and he had to cancel the job. Bob said he'd call me back within the hour to re-schedule. 6/12 hours later, he called to re-schedule. No apology for the delay until I declined to make another appointment. I obviously can't comment on the quality of work this business does, since they didn't do any work for me, but I would have expected them to follow up on what they said they were going to do. If they were having a crazy day, which happens, apologize for it. They may be a great outfit, but I am suspect of companies that start off a business relationship on this kind of footing.

They were very nice, professional, reliable, but expensive, I felt, for what they did. The fellow who came did a very good job fitting the threshhold in to the space.

Handyman Matters responded quickly and fully when I contacted them. The guy who came was named Mark. He did an excellent job, was extremely friendly, and was right on time. He was clearly very skilled, and checked in with me multiple times to make sure that he was doing the most necessary work. He was very thorough. I would call my experience with this company EXCELLENT!

Professional, cleaned up everything, gave a realistic estimate of time and cost. I opted for the composite product instead of pressure treated wood, so that I would get a longer life from the fix

It was fine, good. I paid a little bit of overage time. They were good.

We hired them to clean and repair our gutters, they were able make an appointment within a week of our call, and were prompt for our appointment. They did everything we needed, and even stayed as the rain started to make sure everything was clean.

They were on time, came when they said they would. They finished when they said they would, and cleaned up after themselves. They were good. I would recommend them.

Work was done very professionally -- I provided the shingles. The location was difficult but nonetheless the repair was done quickly, and neatly.

They were great. He was on time, pleasant, professional and not messy. They called ahead of time. He was there a little earlier then planned and called me to let me know. He was proactive and noticed something that needed to be fixed and tried to do that.

Great. Rich was enthusiastic, pleasant and very helpful. When everything was completed, we were very impressed by his work. He is very agreeable, loves what he does and this reflects in his work. We will definitely be using Handyman Matters again.

The handyman turned out to be a handy-lady. Deidre was very knowledgeable about what to do. She called because she was running late, and actually arrived about 75 minutes late. We had talked the evening before about the job, and I thought she would bring the bolts that she needed. She came without them; however after checking the chimney cap and chiminey and then the door she left to get the needed supplies. Deidre fixed the door so that closes properly, she attached a sweet to keep out dirt also. She bolted the cap to the chimney so that it won't blow off again. She charged for the alloted 2 hours of the deal (not for shopping time) and $51. for the supplies that she bought (the bolts and the sweep and stuff for the door.) I will call them again when I need repairs.

He came out and he helped me assemble a shed. We didn't get much done.

Our shower door got damaged and when I looked into replacing it myself, I discovered that the people who did our remodelling several years ago did some slightly non-standard work to get the door in the shower. This made it way above my skill level to replace.Contacted Handyman and they were very professional and helpful. They were able to schedule the work to fit my schedule and showed up on time. Due to the complexity fo the situation it took a little bit longer than originally estimated and some work had to wait until the next day to let the tiles set up correctly. Rich was able to easily fit us in the next day to complete the work. The end result is fantastic looking. I am very pleased with Handyman and will definitely use them again.

I bought a coupon thru Angie's both as it was a good deal but also to hopefully find someone who I would use again in the future. The appointment was made to fill in a cancellation, there was a communication mix-up so the assigned person was late but apologetic. During the work I asked her advice about a doorbell that was buzzing and she explained how to shut off the breaker for it so I could do this myself. She also answered questions about how I could take out old unused phone jacks. I was very comfortable with her ability to explain the work she was doing and I actually felt ok when I had to leave for an unexpected vet ER visit and left her to lock up my house! The work was completed and looked good; she had to put a patch on the door's corner that was flush and easy to paint over.

I used the "Big Deal" and it was well worth it. Very pleasant, willing and able to do everything I asked. Very positive experience, I will use again.

Handywomen was 15 min lates but called ahead of time to tell me she was running behind. Once here, i explained what needed to be done and she was pretty quick in setting things up with the shades. One of the shades string was caught up in the electronic motor so she suggested calling them to see if they could instruct her how to fix it. Although we were not able to fix it, she setup the hinges while i sent the damage shade back to the manufacturer. I just received it the other day and installed it myself. These shades were just for one room and i bought them to see if it suits my condo. Since they look great, i ordered 9 more shades and will use Handyman to install them in addition to some other odd jobs around the house.

Overall I was pleased with the service. The job went well - better than I could have done myself. I added additional projects based on the quality of the work completed.

They were terrific and I had a good experience with them. They were very accommodating and their overall service was great. They were running late, so they gave me a call. They were very professional.

He came on time, did good work and was professional. Our only complaint was that for a handyman, it was expensive. Since there was only one person doing the work, it took a long time and thus a lot of money. Even with an Angie's List coupon, it was very pricey.
