I'm a landlord so I do repairs, like I've gotta put in a new toilet or something like that, or I need to go down and fix a railing and I need to get some two by fours. I purchase supplies there for plumbing, electrical, wood, and stuff like that. The employees usually do help me find what I need, but trying to track one down sometimes is a headache. I'm doing it basically for price.
Description of Work: This was to purchase supplies for repairs on my rental properties.

My wife and I paid Home Depot more than $60,000 last June for a kitchen and entryway remodel. It is now late December, and the project is still not complete. We have had delay after delay after mistake after mistake after excuse after excuse. Everything from cabinets and appliances damaged in shipment, to wrong components shipped, to essential goods and services not included in the price, to cabinets that don't fit, to installations that routinely need to be removed and reinstalled, to 'missed every single promised completion/service date'. Latest Home Depot screw up is that they ordered the wrong entryway door. So my wife and I will be entertaining family over the holidays with an 'under construction sign on the front door'. And then the store had the audacity to blame their screw up on my wife. My wife?? So two professionals came out from Home Depot to measure the size and determine the proper entryway door system and then write up the order for us; but my wife vetoed them when she went in to pay and requested that they change the order to a door with the wrong swing? Really? But not sure why I'm surprised. Just another Home Depot screw up, followed immediately by another Home Depot excuse. Only thing these people are good at is taking your money and then ducking responsibility. Masters of the art of finger pointing. NEVER AGAIN. I will drive nails in my head before I ever again trust Home Depot with anything. Considering a kitchen remodel. Recommend you DON'T considered Home Depot.
Description of Work: Home Depot provided materials and labor for a kitchen and entryway remodel.

Conrad was excellent! He spent a long time with us (2 1/2 hrs) much longer than anyone else. He really worked to get us the best price from the rep. I would highly recommend him to anyone. I had gone to another Home Depot and was NOT happy.
Description of Work: Conrad did kitchen design and we purchased cabinets from Home Depot

carpet installation

The sales process for the carpet was easy and low-pressure. We were given good advice by the sales person. It would be nice if the pricing was more straightforward (i.e., the price per square foot of carpet is just a fraction of the total cost and the standard padding isn't anywhere close to sufficient, so you automatically need to upgrade it at an additional cost). They came out to measure within a day and we had our estimate two days after that. They conveniently ''slip in'' a protection plan that was, for us, $169. As soon as I asked what it was she took it off, but it's part of a long itemized list of charges, so I'm sure lots of people don't even realize it's there. The installer was very flexible with scheduling, friendly once he was here and the carpet looks wonderful. He even fixed our squeaky steps!
Description of Work: Installed Berber carpeting in hallway and on stairs.
