Marcoux Upholstering did a fantastic job on our 25 year old pieces. We loved the style of our furniture and didn’t want to change it. We shopped around in furniture stores but nothing was grabbing us. So we decided to reupholster our pieces. Best decision we made. The workmanship that Marcoux Upholstery does is just amazing. Talk about quality...it’s all there. You won’t find a better made piece of furniture in a store. If you have a chair or other piece of furniture that you love, but it needs to be updated or refreshed, bring it to Mike Marcoux. You will be happy you did. We are not including the price of our job because it’s so subjective to what you pick for fabric. However we will say that the quality of workmanship far surpasses what you find in the big box stores if that is something that matters to you. We purchased our pieces new in 1995 from a family owned fine furniture store. It lasted 25 years. That store is no longer around. We fully expect we will have these pieces for another 25 years.

I have used Marcoux's for the fourth time now and every time I am extremely happy. They do such quality work, for a very reasonable price, and with promptness and courtesy. I would never go anywhere else. The selection of fabric is phenomenal and Wendy is so helpful and pleasant. The craftsmanship is perfect, and pick and delivery is on time. This is the place to go for anyone needing reupholstering work on stuffed furniture, or for cushions for dining room or kitchen chairs.

Awesome job! Marcoux upholstery gave my couch and loveseat a makeover. Removed the skirt and used box cushions to give it a totally different look. It would have cost me a lot more to buy a quality sofa and loveseat than it cost to reupholster my existing ones. See before and after pictures attached.

I want to express my sincerest gratitude to Marcoux Upholstery's craftsmen, office personnel, and pick-up/delivery crew. I am absolutely thrilled with my newly re-upholstered, re-designed furniture. Mike convinced me that my furniture was in excellent condition--from the hardwood frame, to the springs and cushions. He assured me that he could shrink the arms of my sofa and matching chair from 9 inches to 6, and change the existing 3-pillow back to a tight back, and..... he delivered, big time! He gave these pieces a fresh, modern look. The attention to detail that was paid to each of my four re-upholstered, re-constructed pieces is truly outstanding. I would also like to give a shout-out to Wendy who was very helpful in directing me to specific books and fabric choices, which made the selection process much easier and less time-consuming. Corey and Peter (road crew) were friendly, helpful, and very careful at the time of both pick-up and delivery. The workmanship is excellent. The material has vertical stripes of various colors and shapes. The stripes match up perfectly on the back, seat, and cushion of the chair. They even selected the perfect stripe to be in the center. I am so pleased with the final product.

They helped me find quality fabric at a reasonable price that would go with the era of the sofa. They also recommended a braiding that would look better (and more the era) than the piping that was originally on it. They took great care to make sure that I was satisfied. I also wanted it done in time for a party I was having, and they were able to finish the work and meet my requested deadline. I will definitely use them again for any additional pieces I might want done, and I will recommend them to my friends.

Michael and his team did an incredible job for a very reasonable price in the exact time frame that they quoted (two weeks from pick up to delivery). Everyone we dealt with at Marcoux was helpful and friendly. I would definitely use them again in the future and plan to pass their name on to friends.

Excellent experience. I was on a deadline and was leaving on a trip. I brought two chairs and fabric I had chosen to Marcoux, left all with them and returned to find chairs delivered (as arranged with Wendy in the office...really helpful and patient!). The workmanship at this company is incomparable. A flowery pattern I had chosen for matching chairs was impeccably matched by the upholsterers on each chair. Finish work is just beautiful. Can't say enough about the quality and professional service of this company.

Marcoux (Wendy in particular) was very responsive and helpful in guiding me through the process of having 2 upholstered chairs re-done. She found the exact fabric I hoped for and was able to order it quickly so that the whole job was done earlier than initially expected. Marcoux picked up and delivered the chairs at no added cost which was an unexpected benefit. The folks who came to pick up the chairs and deliver them back were friendly and professional. He did a beautiful job. He came to us with books of different materials to pick and it took me 2 seconds to pick what I wanted. He came and picked up the couch, he did it, and he brought the couch in.

I first found Marcoux Upholstery on Angie's List and contacted them via their link sending them pictures of the chair I was planning to re-upholster. My chair was a bit wobbly and the footrest was hanging out a bit as the screws were loose; there were also some water spots on the wood frame. Wendy responded very promptly and answered all my questions and provided me with an estimate for the work. I went to their shop in Leominster a week later and brought my chair with me. I then selected fabrics with the help of Wendy. Their shop had tons of fabric samples and so finally from the 8 samples I selected, I had to narrow down to one. Wendy then checked with the supplier and they apparently had the fabric in stock. I was told that by the time the fabric arrives which could take a week, they will work on tightening all the screws of the chair and refinish/polish the wood before upholstering the chair. All in likely 2-3 weeks when they finish. The next day, Wendy contacted me to let me know that the fabric I selected was back-ordered; it seems that the supplier had made a mistake and thought they had the fabric in stock. So I went down to the shop again to select another fabric. Wendy had a pile of samples all ready for my selection since she knew the color I was looking for. Thanks to her that I found another fabric quickly and this time, this different supplier had stock. Wendy told me she will contact me when the chair is ready. Within the week, Wendy called back to let me know that my chair was ready for collection. That was so amazing that they finished the chair in a week. What was more amazing was that the chair looked really fantastic -- from the polished wood frame to the fabric and you could tell the workmanship is impeccable with attention to all the minute details of sewing and fitting; all screws were tightened and the footrest no longer dangled the way it did. The chair looked brand new and so retro cool. My thanks to Mike and his team for such an excellent job done within a week; Wendy for being so helpful and prompt with answers. They even made me a cushion and a head rest piece to go with the chair. I would highly recommend Marcoux Upholstery for the solid and impeccable work they do -- you can be assured your furniture will turn up looking better than it ever did -- just like brand new!

They had a quick turn around time and they were professional.

My wife delivered the chair to Marcoux, and they suggested using some leather remnants they had from a prior job, significantly reducing the cost. Marcoux built new custom burgundy leather cushions on a new frame and delivered the chair back to us within 3 weeks. The chair, which had been looking a bit sad, now looks stunning; we're very happy with the results.

We loved Marcoux Upholstery and would absolutely use them again. They were very professional and did a wonderful job. Our cushions are so comfortable now and look much better.

Poor and inappropriate customer service

I had a chair and ottoman reapolstered. Three trips to my home included fabric samples, picking up the chair and ottoman, and returning the finished product. They were polite, punctual and returned a beautiful finished product.

It was a very positive experience. I had trouble with my sewing machine and couldn't finish sewing a bench seat cover. I brought my unfinished project to Marcoux and not only did he finish it, he greatly improved the project by adding welting and extra cushioning for no additional charge. The cover fits like a glove and looks very professional. He did the project in 3 days. Impressive!

Very pleased. The work looks great and was completed in under a week. Everyone was very polite and friendly. I would definitely use their services again.
