lousy finish

Josh is the least professional contractor I have ever dealt with and that is putting it lightly. We had reached out to a few contractors and we decided to go with Josh because he seemed to be very knowledgable and was also a bit cheaper than a couple of other bids we received. We needed to have the work to be done inside a 7 day window before we moved in, Josh assured us this would be no problem. We hired him to start on a Friday and he quoted us a finish date of the following Tuesday. We really wanted to have these walls painted before we were living there and he was very confident in having this done. He was on time that Friday which is about the only good thing I can say about my experience with Frame 2 Finish. I had let Josh in to get started and also gave him a key since he said he would be in and out over the next few days, didn't think this would be an issue. He originally planned on working Saturday but informed me that something had come up and he would not be able to work that Saturday, no big deal, stuff happens and we still had a couple day cushion before our move in date. I left Josh that Friday and didn't return to the house until the next day. When I walked in on Saturday I was shocked by the condition of our home and also how little work had been done. I know some plasterers have a reputation of being sloppy but this was exceptional. The work that had been started honestly scared me. My initial reaction was I had to let this guy go and my painter agreed. If I were to guess he maybe put in 2-3 hours of work that day and bailed, the work he started made me think I just hired someone who has no idea what he is doing. One of the worst decisions I have made in quite some time was to give Josh another chance. That Monday he continued his work and to his credit I was starting to see some progress and was able to relax a bit. I had told him I was a bit worried when I walked in Saturday morning to the work he started and he just laughed and said it was a rough day. Oh nice, thanks for reassuring me of your work... He continued to work and claimed it would all be done by Wednesday around noon, and by done as we agreed would mean ready for us to have painted. After another day (Tuesday) of continually trashing our home, I just wanted this guy out of my house. I had my painter doing some prep work there with Josh on Tuesday and he was just in awe of the sloppiness of this guys operation. He actually witnessed him clearing his throat and just spitting in the rooms he was working in. He actually went around with a pencil and circled where Josh had cleared his throat in our home. My other half agreed to meet with Josh on wednesday around noon to pay him for his work. She was on her way to work and was on a schedule so she wasn't able to inspect his finished work since he wasn't finished. Another horrible decision by us. Josh burned us bad on this project. He still had hours of work to do but left very shortly after he was paid according to the painter. None of the walls had been complete and were very far from being ready to paint. In one of the rooms plaster started to just fall off the wall since he didn't prep them properly. In every room we hired him to work in he didn't finish around windows or doors all of which needed to be re plastered and sanded. As I write this review over a month later they are still not ready to paint because he did such a poor job, unfortunately I will need to hire another plasterer to come in and get this job done. I called Josh the next day and many times over the next week, he did not answer once or return any of my phone calls. He was very responsive before and during the project but once he left it was like we didn't exist. I continually tried to get a hold of him, sent him pictures of areas we were not happy with and clearly the job was not complete. Still nothing... I really could not believe the lack of professionalism by Frame 2 Finish, I have never experience anything like it in my life. I finally got a hold of him by calling him on a private line, needless to say he was taken back when I told him it was me calling. He then denied ever receiving a phone call or a single one of my 10-15 text messages I sent him including pictures which I knew for certain he had received. I was infuriated but what could I do? After our brief conversation and many lies from Josh I asked him to just give us our key back, because he kept it but had told us he would mail it back, which I still have not received. He burned us and I really hope this guy doesn't take advantage of anyone else in a similar situation.

Josh showed up when he said he was going to show up and did everything he said he was going to do. Our ceilings and walls look great! We recommend Josh without hesitation.
