He is excellent but is in high demand. He is reliable, honest, and we like him a lot. We would definitely hire him again.

It could not have gone better. Jason came on time for the estimate. The estimate was reasonable. The crew came when they said. The work went well. The results are great. I would highly recommend this outfit and would use them again.

He arrived with a partner and completed the job within a day. He left everything looking tidy. Also, he was lovely to work with (scheduling, etc.) via email and phone conversations. I highly recommend him.

The contractor did return my calls promptly and was professional. My complaint stems from the service provided. This was a new deck that was built about a year before staining was to be done (May 2012). The contractor informed me that he was not going to wash the deck before staining and that it only needed one coat of stain. I felt that he was very misinformed about this and insisted the deck be gently powerwashed before staining. He did it but it was done so quickly he missed some debris on the floor of the deck. I believed it to be the insides from a bird's egg, he said it was sap from the wood. The wood was a kiln dried, pressure treated lumber. After he finished the deck, I did an inspection with one of the condominium committee members and we noticed many areas that were missed, areas that were lighter than others and brush marks. This is why I had strongly suggested that a new deck would need two coats of stain, not one. I called to discuss this. At this point he said that he could only discuss the problem with our manager and committee. I understood that because that was who had hired him and asked that I be present. I was not included in the meeting/inspection but it was decided that they would come back to fix the mistakes. Once again, I asked to be there for the re-work, but again this was scheduled when I was not home. When I came home, I found all of my deck planters on the floor of the deck with the table and chairs and hassock and plants. The deck floor obviously was not re-done; which was where most of the overlaps and brushmarks were. The leftover stain was thrown under my deck stairs. I was not made aware that there was stain there and it sat for days in 90+ degree weather so I'm sure it is not any good. The debris I spoke of earlier? There was some still there (in other words it was not completely cleaned off) with stain over it. I would not recommend this contractor unless you can accept mediocre performance/workmanship.

When we first contacted Jason, he was very busy but agreed to estimate the work. We were a little nervous that the job wouldn't be done before winter but Jason's team showed up exactly on time and finished in a day. We called him back on a few items and he resolved them immediately. Very friendly and dependable. Will hire again.

As always, we were extremely pleased with Jason Greene and his team's work. Last year they did a wonderful job painting the exterior of our house, so when we needed work on our deck, we called Jason right away. The work was careful yet fast, the crew was extremely nice and we are very pleased.

They did a truly thorough, professional, wonderful job. They brought a crew of up to six people each day and got the job done in a very timely manner. And they were a pleasure to work with and have around. We are extremely pleased and would recommend J. Greene Painting wholeheartedly to anyone.

J. Greene painted my neighbor's house and has done interior work for others on my block, so I saw the results of a previous job. He provided an estimate competitive with 3 others I obtained. He and entire crew were careful, methodical, extremely pleasant to work with and very nice about responding to questions. They took time to do a beautiful job and paid attention to the details that go into this.
