We called them and they came to look at them. They said it was the pump and that the other one needed new plumbing. They cancelled an appointment to come back and didn't even call! They eventually came back and changed the pump. That did not fix the problem and it still did not work. We got the bill... $324!!! I called and asked why it was so much when it wasn't even fixed. They said there was $100 charge to look initially, which they never told me about. When I mentioned this, the man laughed at me! A friend of ours came over and changed a $10 hose and they both work fine. The whole thing could have been fixed for $20 in parts and $50 in labor! They are crooks and no one should use their service!

I have moved since that service. Before I moved Berkshire Appliance took care of our SubZero refrigerator for years. There are 3 great guys in this organization. Richard, the owner who knows appliances upside down, Paul, a very personable young man who deals with the office, and Dave who is the repair man, and who has been babying and keeping my "tetchy" 20 year old Sub Zero refrigerator for the last 10 years, at least. I have been very happy with this service. I have just learned about and joined Angie's List and see that Berkshire Appliance has not had a review and want to get them on the list. I moved from my old digs 6 months ago and no longer have the SubZero. I am in a rental apartment and have had a break down in the Bosch refrigerator here. The landlords should take care of this, I know, but they are having financial difficulties so I called Paul Friday afternoon and Dave is coming on Monday, (tomorrow). So far so good. I'll keep you posted. (You said you wanted details .... be creful what you wish for) Best,Joyce Scheffey Update as of 7/2/2014 Well, Paul arrived on time, repaired in 2 seconds. It seemed there was a chunk of ice behind the container. Preventing the ice decending properly. It had been that way sense January when I moved in. It was bought at Sears and Sears was called at that time. They sent a "repair" man who couldn't figure out what was wrong. He never even removed the ice container. I didnt reconize as such and neither did he. It looked like apart of the machine. He told us to call Boch. However he had no problem charging my landlord for the house call. They were unable to reach Boch and we kind of gave up. Then on Friday I finally thought to call Berkshire Appliance. Thank God I did! We now have ice by the bucket...pretty importent with summer just coming on. Thank you for a great job Berkshire Appliance.
