COTE'S PLOWING SERVICE

DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY!!!!! Here's what happened: My husband and I recently bought a house and had been shoveling so far this season to save money. We were leaving for vacation before the big storm hit and decided to suck it up and hire a plow to take care of it while we were gone. I called around and got a quote of $75. We didn't love the idea of spending that much, but decided it was worth it. So we left him a check in the mailbox and we were good to go. We got back from vacation and the driveway was cleared and all looked good. I thought that was the end of it. Then I get a call from him saying he had to come 3 times because there was 3 feet of snow (which is not true, we got just over 2 feet) and we now owe him ANOTHER $150! I literally thought he was joking. Never once did he mention even the possibility of coming multiple times and that it would be $75 each time. The ONLY thing he said is that it would be $75. It's his job to know how many times he would have to plow 2+ feet of snow! But he conveniently decided to keep that information to himself and under-quote us just to get the business. He also could have called me (he knew I was reachable by phone on vacation) to get my approval to come back multiple times, but never did. He took it upon himself to do it and expect payment for it. He took advantage of us. I asked him if there was any kind of deal he could do for us this time, with it being our first time and all, but no, he'd rather have his money now than keep us as customers for years to come. He does not know how to run a business! He made our first plow experience as homeowners a miserable one and we will never, ever hire him again and I hope you won't either.

Paul has been terrific. He is reliable and thorough. He plows my driveway and also shovels around the garage door and near the curb. He has a day job, so he's not available in the mornings. However, if I leave him a message he always gets back to me and lets me know when he'll be able to get to me. He shows up when he says he's going to. He's a very nice guy, and does a good job with the plow.
