+ 1 moreThey had people come out to advise me that my roof and siding needed replacement post a hale storm in 2013. They completed the task though finish job was unsatisfactory. 6 years later in 2019 I had leakage and the owner of the company said warranty was up in 5 years, but also refused to show up to inspect the roof on to help me diagnose why it may be leaking. Does anyone want to deal with a company like this after spending $40+ K on roofing and siding? He indicated that the work was done via storm chasers under his company name (which now I understand he took a cut). For whatever way in which he does business, I see this as dishonesty and not taking responsibility. I've been advised by other contractors to sue Peak Co., as it took cut from the so called "Storm Chasers". I am contemplating this action right now.

Description of Work: Redid completely the roof. Removed and replaced old shingles. His team did a very good job and the new roof looks really nice. It enhances the house. Corrected a minor imperfection right away and repaired the chimney.

+ -1 moreWhen it became clear that our original roofer could not finish the job, winter was closing in so we had to act quickly. I found Peak on Angie's List along with 2 or 3 other potential roofers. I called Carl on a Saturday morning, he met us that afternoon to look at the work, and we agreed on Sunday to his proposal to complete the work. Monday there was an ice storm, but Carl got a permit on Tuesday and his crew of 4 or 5 did the work on Wednesday. All of this was during the week before Christmas.
Description of Work: Finished a roofing job on a storage building started by another contractor. Peak completed gluing down a rubber roof put in place by the other contractor, and repaired a soffit/facia area. On a sloping roof area joining the flat roof they put down new plywood decking and asphalt shingles. Most of the materials were already on site, but Peak supplied facia boards and other miscellaneous materials.

+ -1 moreThe roofers showed up on the agreed upon day, ten minutes early. They were very nice and had good work habits. They were very careful to protect my property with long nets from the roof to the ground while they removed the old roof. They took 45 minutes for lunch which gave me a nice break from the noise. They cleaned up with a magnetized sweeper constantly. They had a trailer dumpster and the owner, Carl Hume took everything away the next day. Carl helped me a lot in choosing the right shingle. He also showed up for the first appointment on the agreed upon day. My new roof is performing well, looks good and I am very happy that I called Peak Roofing Co. My neighbor across the street used them also and they are very happy too. They did all this in one day.
Description of Work: His people removed my old roof and installed a new one in one day.

+ -1 moreEverything went well. I contacted him mid-August and was anxious to have the roof done before our kitchen remodel started. Carl wasn't sure exactly when he could start and he did finally let me know a few days before he started. That is my only criticism, you may have to call him a few times to get an answer. They did put a rubber roof on part of my roof that he said looked like it needed it based on the wear of the old roof at no extra charge. They finished in 2 and 1/2 days and he walked around the house with me after finishing and did come back the next day to fix something I did not think looked right
Description of Work: Peak removed our old roof and put on a new roof. I received 4 quotes and Peak was in the middle. He cam recommended by the contractor who was about to remodel our kitchen.

+ -1 moreDiscovered that work was needed based on leak during a heavy rainstorm, therefore I was anxious to get roof work done before winter...so contractor responsiveness was key to me. Called Peak and several other contractors for estimates. Peak missed original appointment without notifying me. I subsequently contacted them again to reschedule, and this appointment was met. Price quoted was competitive, and a written quote was provided at the time of the estimate visit, which was helpful, and made up for the initial missed appointment.. I ultimately selected an alternate contractor, based on: 1) more timely initial response, 2) comparable price and 3) no down payment required.
Description of Work: Requested an estimate for re-roofing and related trim replacement.

+ -1 moreThey were a bit off in the estimated start date, however, he was responsive when I called him. The house is an old victorian and has many little roof lines over porches and bays. There were 5 guys working together and they provided good protection for the shrubs and grass areas. They were also working in an area where there is a swimming pool. Their clean up was efficient and timely. The owner was on the job site and oversaw the operation at various stages.
Description of Work: They removed and hauled away old roof materials installed 1/2" CDX plywood to main deck installed ice and water barrier to eaves and valleys, side and chimney wells 30 lb felt paper applied to remainder of roof 8" metal chip edge to perimeter shingle with 30 yr shingles flashing on wells and chimney new pipe collars, cut and install GAF cobra vent to ridges ccp ridges remove metal soffits and cut in 5x16: openings in wood soffit install new perforated soffit vent remove old insulation to attic ceiling All work took 2 days, and he did return a third day to do a small bay window roof that was missed. He has a great reputation with my friends in the Concord, MA area. The quality of the work and the fair price is making him popular around here. The compliments on his work on my roof, which is on a main thoroughfare, are still coming in.

+ -1 moreThey did an excellent job from start to finish. They were courteous, on-time, and professional for both the estimate and the roofing, and were exactly within the estimate. They were considerate of the side yard/garden and cleaned up their mess (roofing is very messy!) beautifully. Sealing the top roof was a little outside of their usual work but they were willing to do it for us (we needed professionals with ladders as our top roof has no trapdoor) and were even very patient when we ran out of sealant and I had to run out and purchase more. I highly recommend them.
Description of Work: (Please note that the date is really approximate as I have filed the receipt and don't want to go find it in the attic.) Peak Roofing repaired/replaced a small, flat, and leaking subroof on our shabby but well-loved Victorian. They removed the original metal roof and replaced it with a rubberized roof, working around the original slates which cover the sides of the house at that level. They also used their ladders to go up to the largest top roof of our house (which is metal) and re-seal it for us.

+ 0 moreQuick turnaround with bid. Some confusion over the chimney work - it wasn't included in the bid as we originally thought, but that was our oversight and not the fault of the contractor. Even with the chimney work being extra, he was still very competitive. They matched the old brick on the chimney. Great cleanup - we found less than 5 roofing nails on the ground afterwards.
Description of Work: Scraped old roof and installed new asphalt architectural shingle roof. Installed ridge vent and cut soffit holes Repaired some rotted fascia board and matched color as close as possible. Subcontracted chimney rebuild from roofline up.
