RICHARD MYLES PAINTING

Richard Myles was great to work with - very professional and helpful. He updated us regularly on next steps and timelines. He gave us his expert advice when we were not 100% on a shade. He even dropped off some paint samples he painted on paper for us to look at colors he thought we'd like. We both thought Richard was friendly, easy going and knowledgeable. He is also open to smaller projects, which we appreciated.

Richard did a GREAT job. He is our go-to guy for painting now. He is very talented and meticulous about his work. He is very clear in describing what he will do and how long it will take. If he doesn't like how it came out, he take the time to go back over and make it just right. When he did an accent wall in our living room it was a dark navy blue, and wow, not a flaw to be had. Perfect lines, nice deep coats, really great. Richard also installed hardware for us on our cabinets. I don't think it's a job he does routinely, but he was happy to do it for us because he knew I was really nervous about it being done right. I was not disappointed - he did such a great job making sure everything was level and installed well. I so appreciated the care and time he took on this...just as he does on his painting. His prices are good. He is not the least expensive game in town but not the most expensive either. What you spend with him is well worth it for the level of work you get. He's a pro! I highly recommend Richard!

I contacted Richard for a quote to paint kitchen cabinets. He responded very quickly and showed up on time for to look at the job. He was very polite/professional and thoroughly explained the options. His bid was attractive and while i decided to wait to do the job next year, I definitely plan in using Richard.

Richard was very attentive to request asked of him and followed through. He had a lot of little jobs to do and did them as asked. His assistance were quality painters as well. He has good communication skills. He would call or text when he was going to be late. He kept me in the loop as the job unfolded.

Richard is the best, fast, courteous and exceptionally skilled. I will use him for all my future painting needs.

Richard was a PLEASURE to work with, in addition to being a consummate professional. He went above and beyond when it came to the work product and never complained despite our many changes and additions to the initial project plan. His prices were very reasonable especially given the results. He took his time and did not settle for results that weren't perfect (even surpassing our standards). Our entire family will miss having him and his team, though we'll be having them back to paint the outside of the house and porch when the weather is better!

Richard responded immediately, even though in demand before the holidays and worked a weekend to expedite my painting job before I left town. He provided a skilled assistant and finished the job without working into the evening, even though putting on two coats. He prepped and covered the furniture and even helped me pick colors. I plan to use him for the rest of the interior, room by room! I have already referred him to a friend. His price was more than reasonable.

Great job ,explained everything. On time and performed services as explained. Richard and is associate Leif were meticulous and cleaned up after working. I had to wait 6 weeks to get my job done by Richard as he is in high demand but it was worth the wait. I would recommend Richard to all .

This is the second time Richard has done work for us, and we didn?t need to look anywhere else for estimates or consultations. Richard painted our kitchen cabinets (including spraying). He was careful painting and also took the time to label all doors and drawers so that each would go back to its proper place. They came out beautifully, and we get many compliments. Richard also installed a subway tile backsplash in the kitchen, which we love. He was very careful when making tile cuts, and as a result, he barely used any excess tile. He made sure to involve me in all decisions. Richard also patched and repainted holes that were left in our walls and ceilings from electrical work. One particular ceiling is textured, and he was able to match the texture so you can?t even tell there was a hole. I would recommend Richard for any painting or other home projects (installing wood trim, tiling, etc.) He is very meticulous in all that he does and takes pride in his work. He is trustworthy and professional.

Richard is great. A true professional. He is the most thorough painter we have ever used. He is meticulous in his painting and even moreso in his fixing of the holes, scrapes, etc that were present on most of the trim, doors, and walls in this house. Richard always always communicates his schedule -- whether he will be on site, what time, and what days. We certainly added a lot of extras (some by design and some by an irresponsible electrician) and Richard handled them with ease and total professionalism. We also hired him to paint some custom cabinetry and it turned out beautiful. Richard is definitely not a "throw the paint on the wall and walk away" kind of painter. He is diligent, conscientious, and has high integrity. I would hire him again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.

He arrived promptly at the agreed upon time - he explained the process and the unique requirements when sealing outdoor wood. (That was something other contractors i had called failed to do - i never understood how different sealing and painting are). Richard was friendly and professional and he clearly knows his craft. He had photos of other jobs he had done - great work. I will definitely call Richard to provide this service next spring

He was terrific. He came out the same day we contacted him and gave us a quote right on the spot. He couldn't accept the job because they added more on the job he was working on and it doubled his time. It was going to put him back a couple of months for other customers. With good conscience he respectfully declined to do the job. His price was about half the price of another company. He gave us an estimate based on less work. The quote was definitely not on the same scale as the other company. He was not as specific. He was very quick. He was fine and very responsive.

Everything came out looking great. Richard was in constant communication. He even reached out to us when he was concerned that one our paint colors choices was looking more purple on the wall than brown like we wanted. He really looked out for our interests.

Richard , as is his style, spent time insuring I understood what and how he thought we should progress and made sure all his work was, once again, top of the line. After having Richard paint much of the inside of my home , he was an easy choice for the exterior work and will always be my first choice for any painting needs! Exceptional work and a very nice guy.

GREAT JOB. I was impressed with Richard from the very start. He very quickly responded to my initial inquiry, and was very willing to work with me on dates. He came on a Saturday and spent extra time ensuring that my knobs and handles were done just right, as he knew I was nervous about them. He was meticulous and wanted to be sure we were very happy. He did an excellent job, and it all looks fabulous. He came back a few Saturdays later to do a painting job for us. He is a perfectionist and got all the seams and borders around the walls and the bay window just right. No easy feat - I picked a very dark navy blue and he had no problem with it. Totally professional job. Was friendly, helpful, prompt and really took the time to do everything to our liking. I will have him back soon for an even larger painting job. I highly recommend his work with no hesitation.

Richard was polite, friendly and on time for the appointment we set up for the estimate. We walked our property to assess our house, deck and shed for an exterior paint job. He never gave us an estimate. He declined our job via email with a limited, confusing explanation. I will say that of all the painters we contacted, Richard was the quickest to respond even though he declined even making an estimate.

Overall, it was a great experience. From our first meeting, Richard was very responsive and upfront about the costs. He clearly has expertise in the field, and we appreciated his opinions about paint colors and types. He also was very comfortable working in an antique house. Our project ended up being fairly extensive, so Richard was around for a few weeks. He was very conscientious about being in our home, and he was wonderful with our son, who loved to watch him paint. Richard is a trustworthy and thoughtful individual; he even checked on us after the recent blizzard, well after the painting job was complete.

We contacted Richard after reading reviews on Angie's List. He was able to schedule us in and also invited us to view a project he was working on at the time. He did a great job on our home - he was neat, clean and conscientious. We would highly recommend him.

I sent Richard an email late at night, and he responded promptly the next morning. Richard was happy to come on the weekend to give us an estimate and work around our schedules. He spent time to explain his approach and work. He had suggestions when requested but did not push his own taste or opinion on us. Richard was professional and hard working. He did a great job painting our interior, which includes very high ceilings and painted light and bright colors over very dark colors. I requested horizontal stripes in one room, which he did within one day and looks great! The lines are so precise, most people ask if it's wallpaper. He power washed and stained our deck- it looked like new when he was done. After the painting was done, we asked him to put trim around three door frames as well as crown molding in one room. He installed and painted the wood work, which we love. Richard is hard working, pays attention to detail, and is professional. I will definitely use him again for our painting needs in the future!

I called Richard to come out and give us a quote for several projects. He was prompt to return my call and to make an appointment to come to the house. He quoted us a price to paint a dining room which we thought was reasonable. He showed up at the agreed upon time and completed the job. He did an excellent job with the dark paint color we choose, his lines were flawless. Even our neighbors were impressed! Would recommend him with no hesitation and he is scheduled for more painting at our house.

Richard let me help in order to keep the price down significantly... although he did most of the work. I helped him with the drop clothes and cleaned up after. I would definitely hire Richard Myles Painting again and would recommend him. He is also very diligent about returning calls and following up on his work.

I made Richard's work difficult because I started the staining process and it looked horrible. So I called around to get some professional help. I had one company come over and he didn't even want to do the work because we made such a mess with the stain already. Richard came in and quoted us a price range that would cost $200 to $250 depending on how long it would take him. Usually when someone tells me that I assume they will find a way to work long enough to have me pay the top of the price range but not when it came to Richard. He ended his job at the bottom of his price range of $200. I appreciate Richard working efficiently and being honest. In addition, I was impressed how Richard wanted to get the job done. In my past experience, once a contractor gets the contract to the do the project, they aren't as motivated to finish quickly. Richard kept great communication and finished the job faster than he even projected.

When a tenant moved out of a home I had rented to them they left quite a mess that required extensive renovation. I had interviewed and received quotes from 6 paining contractors. Richard Myles made a few suggestions that would reduce the cost of the project without compromising the quality of the work. The price was the best that I had received and included additional work that the other proposals left out. When choosing a contractor I look for more than the lowest price. I am looking for a fair price with a professional that can be relied on to deliver a quality job. Richard Myles certainly earned my confidence to win the job, but more importantly he followed through and did a fantastic job without cutting any corners. I highly recommend Richard Myles Painting

First, we did not use Richard because we decided to do the work on our own. I had to write a review though. I contacted several painting companies and received numerous estimates. Richard by far was the most professional, honest and knowledgable. Some other companies just came in and gave me a number with no details. Richard, went into every little detail down to what he would use, how he would do it, cost and cost savings, how to prevent damage to our walls and floors, etc. He was just amazing. I learned so much from him. He was also very quick in responding to my emails and phone calls. If we ever had to hire someone for a painting job it would be him. Save your time and just hire him...all the other painters in the South Shore area could use a lesson from this man.
