Description of Work: Repaired our slate roof. Had to come back a second time a year later for other work. Price decent, had to keep on them a bit regarding scheduling though.

Description of Work: They had been my fathers roofer of choice when the two brothers ran the company, so years after Dad passed I had a leak in my slate roof (house is part slate and part regular roofing) I called them, they came, went up on the roof charged me but did not stop the leak in fact they broke more slate tiles walking around on the roof. Will never use them again. The men they sent did not know what they were doing and I now have a roofer who understands SLATE roofs.

+ -1 moreAll went well. After first contacting the company, they came by to assess the problem within 24 hours. I requested a quote for the work needed. Within 1 weeks time I was called and the workers showed up one morning. The work was done, and done well.They cleaned up and hauled away any and all remaining debris. The final cost was within the price range that was quoted. I have been living at my current residence for nearly ten years and have always used Penshorn. Their prices are competitive and the work continues to be top notch. I highly recommend them.
Description of Work: A valley in the front of the house was recemented and coated along with repairing and replacing several broken slate times around the valley.

They came out to talk about the job after we accepted the estimate, and brought shingle samples for me to look at so we could decide on a color. They arrived exactly at 7am on the first day, and finished by the next day.
Description of Work: They replaced the roof on our 1896 house, sealed a leak above the porch, and cleaned our gutters.

Description of Work: Rep quoted me an estimate of 900.00 to patch a small area of roof. I thought it was a very high estimate but went ahead anyhow. Work was done. Penshorn called and said that the actual cost was going to be 1600.00. After questioning the price I found out that they charged me travel time and time that the workers spent gathering supplies. This on top of the inflated cost of performing a very small job. I only sent them a few hundred dollars more than the estimate. Typical bait and switch by a unch of crooks.
