McKinnon Tree & Landscape

Due to the wind storm it took a week for the work to be scheduled but once it was everything went smoothly.

The reason I don't give A's to them is because their communication wasn't very good. It seemed like I always had to be the one to keep communications going and couldn't count on them getting back to me in a timely manner.

A small area of the loan started dying soon after they installed the sod. Carol, the office person came right away and promised the owner would come last week to see the problem and replace it. She took pictures but i don't hear from them yet. I kept calling them but I couldn't leave a message because any day and time the voice mail is full. They don't have an email address or web site to contact them. The owner also wanted to do the first lawn mowing which I expected to be not later than yesterday and I haven't heard from them.

I chose McKinnon because they felt the Hemlock tree could be saved, whereas the other people I talked to wanted to take it down. Time will tell, but I liked their attitude about saving the tree. I had to cut many branches off trees next to the house (Maple and Oak) because my insurance company demanded it. McKinnon did the work quickly and cleaned up after. They were pleasant, and they did the majority of the work while I was not at home. In exchange for the newly cut wood they took, they brought me some seasoned firewood and stacked it up in a smart spot in the yard.

They did an exceellent job. I will defenitly use them next year.

They came and gave me an estimate and stayed within that estimate. They hauled away all the debris. They were very professional. They made some good suggestions on things that they thought we needed get done with some of the trees around the property and did a good follow up. They also worked with me on the total price and gave me a discount. Their quality of work is good.

Mc Kinnon Tree & Landscaping did not show up when they said they would. They did not do the follow up work needed. I would say, I had an overall bad experience with them. I do not recommend this company.
