She was effective and highly professional, and we liked her personally very much. My husband and I felt listened to as well as competently advised as we worked through the sale process, and Maureen was such a pleasant, gentle, intelligent, and cheerful presence that we feel sure she must have many clients who, like us, would enjoy having her as a friend. We received two full-price offers for our house after only the first weekend of showings, both of them from well-qualified buyers. Although the improving sales market no doubt played a part, we believe this also clearly attests to Maureen's skills in pricing and marketing our house. In addition, she is a lifelong Boston resident who has a great deal of knowledge about the city's neighborhoods and a network of professional contacts who provided valuable assistance that wouldn't have been available to us otherwise. We were always able to reach her easily and, when additional coverage was needed, her staff stepped in and managed whatever needed to be done without delay. They were all simply excellent, and delightful to work with in addition! As anyone who has bought or sold a house knows, there are so many details, competing interests, and legal concerns involved in this kind of transaction that it is essential to have someone who, as Maureen did, thoroughly understands the issues involved and is able to clearly explain the options, risks, and benefits of the decisions that may need to be made. When we encountered complications related to an easement, some contradictory city records, and whether or not there had been termite damage at some point in the past (all common problems in an old city like Boston), what might have made this a stress-filled ordeal turned out to be as good an experience as anyone could hope for. We thank Maureen for that. Nothing ruffled her, all was manageable as far as she concerned, and this calm realism helped us greatly deal with everything. In the end, we had very happy people on both sides of the deal, a smooth transfer of the property to the new owners, and sufficient proceeds to invest in a new house on the other side of the country! met Maureen as part of an interview process I used to sell my place. Contacting a few realtors helped me better sense who would I feel more comfortable working with. By our first meeting I was sure I would like to work with her. Maureen was very generous with her time and efforts. She shared her views about the market current circumstances, and offered invaluable suggestions to get me ready for selling. She is very knowledgeable of the community and while other realtors might have argued that winter time is not a time to sell in New England, she knew from experience that we could, with confidence, put my place for sale during this season with a positive outcome. She is extremely punctual and detailed oriented. Yet her demeanor is very easy going and friendly. She was open to listen to my needs and the context of my experience about selling. While her suggestions were informed by her professional experience in Real Estate she took into consideration my points of view and my feelings. I felt I was working with a friend; someone who authentically care that I get the best possible selling price while maintaining an ethical standard that extends to the buyers as well. Maureen’s organization and preparation helped tremendously to reduce the stress that selling or buying provokes. She kept me informed and responded to my emails and phone calls in a timely manner. Maureen is extremely approachable. A great quality she has is her ability to listen. Her company donates to non-profit organization part of their proceedings. They are a small, independent Real Estate Agency so one feels treated as a person. My place was sold during the first open house she conducted. I am glad she was my realtor. I notice that there aren't that many brokers reviewed, and I wonder if people feel as if they paid too much for the service provided - but what choice did they have? Well, Maureen was worth every penny and more.
