They came said my ice maker needed to be replaced with a new one after it failed a test they perform to force it to move ice forward. New ice maker also failed the test. They wanted me to pay any way and said it would probably work in 12 hours. When I dared to question them like what is my recourse if it doesn't work in 12 hours they offered no warranty instead they got angry with me and told me since I wasn't trusting them they would just out the old ice maker back and leave. Huge waste of my time and money since I paid them for a diagnostic call and they were not willing to complete the repair in a reasonable manner.

Fernando talks a good game, but does not stand by his work. I paid him generously for an appliance repair, higher than some other quotes, because he promised a good warranty. Just a couple of months after the initial repair, we had the same problem with the appliance, and he refused to honor the warranty. Don't trust the other reviews - probably fakes. DON"T USE THIS SKETCHY COMPANY - YOU WILL BE SORRY.

Fernando was terrific. He arrived on time with a text beforehand saying he was on the way. He quickly diagnosed the problem and repaired it within the hour. He was friendly, responsive... and even came back a few minutes after leaving just to double check something just to make sure he had cleared the problem up.

Horrible job. I feel like I was scammed. Someone who had no idea what they were doing came to my home. The camera in my home showed that he did NOTHING. He then charged me $75 for a service call and told me it would be waived if I paid $650 for a repair.

Fernando diagnosed and fixed our mysterious dishwasher problem speedily and at a very reasonable price. He is friendly, responsive and professional. Couldn't ask for more!

It went very well. Fernando responded to my inquiry after I called him (learned he doesn't do messaging via AL). He asked that I send him a text so that he'd have the details needed to schedule the appointment. His follow thru was great, and he came and did the repair in less than 12 hours. Very punctual. Easily diagnosed problem and repaired it in about 20 minutes. Great conversationalist too!

Fernando arrived the same day we called him. He diagnosed the issue, then provided a quote in a matter of minutes, after looking up the cost of the part. He returned in two days to install the piece that fixed the problem. There was a minor issue with transferring the decorative overlay film to the new control keypad, which he pointed out, and promised to remedy as soon as he could get the replacement overlay. This did not affect the operation of the oven, it was purely cosmetic. He returned within a week and installed the new part which took as much of his labor time as had the original repair. There was no charge for the second trip! Great customer service all around. I'll hire again him for any future appliance work we may need.

Quick, efficient, tidy replacement of ignitwr. Had part on hand. Good communication around arrival time and follow up ordering a replacement filter. Easy to work with and friendly.

Very honest and gave a really good price. Quality of work was great! I was actually able to trust him to fix the washer while I was not there. I would recommend him and use him, again.

My phone call was answered immediately, service call scheduled for next day. Fernando texted approximate ETA. Dishwasher didn't need "fixing" after all, minor clog was cleared easily. But we got great advice to prevent future problems.

He arrived well within his target time and very quickly diagnosed the dryer problem. He told me the cost to fix the problem....and proceeded to get the parts out of his truck and solved the issue within an hour. Fernando was prompt, polite, professional and very knowledgeable. Whoever heard of no charge for a service visit?

Went very well. I called Fernando in late morning and he answered the phone. I described the fridge and the problem and set up appointment for later than afternoon. He arrived on time and even had already picked up the electronic controller part that he suspected might be the problem, based on our earlier conversation. On site, he showed me the problem, explained his diagnosis, gave me a price, and then fixed the problem. He also gave tips for future monitoring and operations. I was very pleased.

I'm so glad I went with the reviews I read on this list. They were spot on! Fernando was on time, professional (called when he had to be late because his car stalled), and did the job and then some. A new leak appeared in the washing machine before he left, so he fixed that too at his own cost. Besides doing a terrific job, he's kind of a philosopher too: "money is great, but being happy is more important". YES! I will definitely call upon him for any other appliance repairs.

I have an old Whirlpool dryer from approximately the 1970s that came with the house. Recently, I put in a load of wet clothes and the machine immediately made a horrible metallic grinding noise. I feared that it might have kicked the bucket. Although I'd love to replace it with a new model, I have no idea how the previous owners got a washer and dryer into the basement in the first place. The house has no bulkhead, and the only access to the basement is a narrow staircase with a sharp turn. As such, we're trying to keep the old machines alive as long as possible. I called DMC Appliances and spoke to Fernando, who offered to come out the same day to take a look. This happened to be during the snowiest winter in Boston history. Even on days when it isn't snowing, the driving and parking are still terrible. Fernando was very friendly and professional. He didn't try to oversell me on buying a new machine. He diagnosed the problem as a bad roller and was able to fix it in half an hour, for a reasonable price. I couldn't be happier and will definitely use his services again.

He called half an hour before arriving. This time was within the expected time. He has a friendly personality and answers all your questions. He is easy to work with. I would definitely use him again.

Fernando is a local appliance repair man with extensive knowledge of the major appliances in the house. We had him come for a service call (with in 2 hours because we had an urgent situation) to diagnose our refrigerator. He asked smart questions on the phone about the fridge's model and problem. It stopped cooling the freezer and fridge compartments, but the refrigerator still ran and kept things cool but not enough. We keep medicine in the fridge and can't be without it. Fridge had a buzzing noise coming from the temperature setting button. After doing trouble shooting research on-line, we could fix this ourselves. I called one of the tops rated appliance guys on Angie's list, but he did not service out area, but he did recommend Fernando. He arrived within small window of time, walked in and looked, listened and felt the fridge and figured out the problem in 4 minutes. The Timer had died (turns the fridge off every 8 hours for defrost). He had parts in this truck, quoted me a price for install and part replacement (really affordable). I said yes and within 15 minutes the refrigerators that I thought was headed to the trash now has a new life. My dogs liked him (key). Before leaving I told him about our dishwasher noises and he asked if he could listen to it. At no charge he played with the dishwasher and gave suggestions of what we could do to improve the performance and how much to replace the parts. We will definitely call Fernando again for service to help us replace an appliance because he can also order new appliances (but doesn't push that on you). Good experience!!

Punctual. Priced right. Professional. No problems with the dryer for the past 2 months since being fixed!

My refrigerator wasn't cooling so I needed someone to come and look at it right away. I called DMC Appliance Repair and spoke with Fernando. I explained the problem and he said he would be able to come out the same day. Fernando showed up in the time window we had agreed upon. He asked me questions about the refrigerator and the issues I was experiencing to help him diagnose the problems. He slid the unit out from the cabinets and proceeded to inspect it. After a few minutes he had determined what he thought the problem was, informed me that he had the parts, and asked if I wanted to proceed with the repair. After agreeing and him retrieving the part, Fernando went to work replacing it. The part was in an awkward spot in the base of the unit so it took a bit of time to get to it and replace it. However, after not too long he had it changed and we heard when the refrigerator started working again. After a few minutes Fernando checked that the refrigerator was cooling down, and to my delight it was. He advised me that I should monitor the unit for three weeks to ensure that it continued to function properly, and that I probably wouldn't want to buy a lot of groceries to keep in the refrigerator during this time, just in case the part went bad again. After that we pushed the refrigerator back into place. The price paid was for a service call fee, labor, and the parts. Overall, Fernando was knowledgeable and friendly. I was extremely happy that he was able to make the repair the same day, and I would definitely recommend DMC Appliance Repair.

Fernando was great. Our refrigerated had turned itself off 3 times since we moved in, spoiling all the food inside of it. He came over looked at it and figured out the problem. At his suggestion I left the refrigerator off with the doors open, I used this as an opportunity to clean the fridge, soaking all the drawers and wiping down all the surfaces. The next day when I went to plug the fridge back in, the freezer door wouldn't close. Fernando came over to take a look at it, and quickly realized I had put one of the shelves in backwards. He charged me nothing for this second visit, even though the problem was 100% my fault.

He can fix anything, he'll gladly fix the old stuff, he is completely forthright if he thinks it's a waste of time. My experience with him is excellent. He really is very, very sharp because he put in our new microwave and he fixed our washing machine. I'm very impressed because like a doctor with a stethoscope, he can listen to things and he just seems to know what's wrong.
